University of Bristol School of Mathematics Unit choices for Year 3 The Deadline for completion of this form is 12 noon

3rd May 2013

You must select all your TB1 and TB2 unit choices on this form. Please be aware that although we will do everything practicable to ensure your unit choices are put in place, there will be timetabling constraints which will make some combinations impossible to deliver. For certain units there will be a numerical limit on the number of students accepted. This will be particularly true if you wish to change your units after the timetable has been constructed. In such cases, we will use a first come, first served approach.

Extra degree requirements for G1G3 and G1GH (NB Projects MAY count as Statistics credit points) Statistics 2 taken Applied Probability taken For G1G3 confirm 100 Statistics credit points taken at level 5 or above For G1GH confirm on track for 160 Statistics credit points at level 5 or above

For BSc students only, there is a requirement to take at least 10 cp of work with a substantial written element. These include projects, Maths in Schools and many Open units including the language units of G101. For ALL PROGRAMMES confirm at least 10 cp of written work at any time

Degree requirements for Math/Phil (VG51 & GV15) 60 cpts Maths units (VG51 20cp Pure Maths, 40 cp at Level H; GV15 must take Logic & Set Theory)

Useful information. The units listed overleaf are the only Level 6 Mathematics units available. Level 6 Mathematical units are available in Engineering Maths & Computer Studies Students taking G1G3 or G1GH should have taken Statistics 2 and Applied Probability 2. If they have taken only one of these, they MAY need to transfer their degree programme to G100 or G103. If they have taken neither, they WILL need to transfer their degree programme to G100 or G103.
