Theme : Driving license Title : Stop Illegal Licenses!

Thesis : Every driver should have a legal driving license. Arguments :

According to the law every driver and biker has to have a driving license. Many deaths are caused by traffic accidents. Roads are now the biggest killer of young people over the age of 10, with road traffic deaths constituting a global health epidemic that has reached crisis proportions The Safe and Sustainable Roads report, launched by the Campaign for Global Road Safety, says road safety is one of the world's greatest development challenges and predicts the number ofpeople killed in traffic accidents will rise from 1.3 million to 2 million a year if no urgent action is taken. People should pass the driving test first to get a driving license legally. If people have driving test first, it seems to be more skillful then people who dont have driving test to get driving license. So the traffic accidents can be reduced by having drive test if we want to get driving license.

Many drivers and bikers have illegal licenses which are gotten without doing any driving skills tests. Many people who dont have enough time and lazy enough to do a driving test to get legall license always do illegall ways without doing any driving test. Many people think they have enough money to buy a driving license, but they didnt think about their safety on the roads. Doing illegal ways is faster than legall ways. People didnt want to wait long time to get driving license, they like to do instant, especially teenagers and underaged.

Illegal licenses enable teenagers and children under 17 years old to have driving licenses. A lot of teenagers say that he / she has illegal licenses because he / she doesnt want disturb his / her parents. In reality, they want to be free from parents. Based on Bantul Polices data, about 75 % of traffic accident happen to teenagers, This proves that teens are careless and irresponsible. Teens havent ready to drive yet.

Illegal licenses are also official so many people prefer them which are easier to get although the price is much higher. A lot of bureau help person to get driving licenses easily with more money. People choose that because the practice test is really hard. Many people complain because the test is out of human logic. So thats why a lot of people choose them.

Recommendations

The police and the government should take actions against people who are responsible in existing illegal licenses. The government and the police should uphold the law about licenses by raiding offices which possibly make illegal licenses and close those offices. Other than closing the offices the government can put a stop to this by firing the officers responsible for illegal licenses and police can imprison the dealers or makers. It is also the polices duties to make sure people drive safely and aright so that no immature drivers exist and cause accident.

People have to build awareness of having legal driving licenses for their own goods. So, we as the people should be more mature and only drive vehicles when we are competent enough and not only because we are old enough to have driving license but because we can be trusted to drive our vehicles safely and according with the law. Remember, we are not the only ones using the roads.
