Pipe nuts with thread as in ISO 228-1

431
ICS 21.060.20 Rohrmuttern mit Rohrgewinde nach ISO 228-1 In keeping with current practice in standards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a comma has been used throughout as the decimal marker. Supersedes February 2000 edition.

Foreword
This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee Schrauben und Muttern mit Auenantrieb of the Normenausschuss Mechanische Verbindungselemente (Fasteners Standards Committee). Amendments This standard differs from the February 2000 edition in that the designation has been amended by including the width across flats for sizes G 1/8, G 1/4, G 1/2 and G 5/8, and that the mass for sizes G 1/8, G 1, G 1/2 and G 5/8 is no longer specified. Previous editions DIN 431: 1926-01, 1929-04, 1949xx-06, 1970-02, 1972-12, 1982-11, 2000-02. All dimensions are in millimetres.

Scope

This standard specifies dimensions and technical delivery conditions for sizes G 1/8 to G 6 (hexagon and octagon) pipe nuts with thread as in ISO 228-1 and of product grades B and C.
