Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up fourteen (14) posts of Scientists-B in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on direct recruitment basis. Particulars of academic qualifications and other requirements of the posts are given in ANNEXURE-I. Age limit : Not exceeding 30 years which is relaxable for Government servants up to 5 years and in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, age relaxation would be in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt. from time to time. Career opportunities for scientists in MNRE : A scientist is eligible for promotion upto and including the level of Scientist G in the Pay Band of Rs.37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs.10000/- through a merit based promotion scheme.
