NLAW
NLAW
The NLAW is a single soldier missile system that rapidly knocks out any MBT within 20 to 600 m with just one shot by striking it from above. The weapon has two modes of operation: DA and OTA. When targeting tanks and other armoured vehicles, the OTA mode is used so the missile flies one metre above the Line Of Sight (LOS) and the warhead initiates above the turret, striking the most vulnerable area. The NLAW shoulder-fired launched combat weapon is comprised of an anti-tank missile sealed within a disposable launch tube. Although its primary targets are MBTs and Light Armoured Fighting Vehicles (LAFVs), other targets such as troops in buildings and non-armoured vehicles can also be easily defeated. The lightweight weapon is intended for deployment within light forces that operate dismounted in all environments. The weapon incorporates CS technology, reducing the noise and blast signature when fired and offering improved survivability for the operator. When a soldier is equipped with the NLAW, he is given the power to immediately destroy the most advanced MBT, wherever and whenever it appears within combat range. The NLAW system is unique in that it can hit a target without getting a lock-on, from any aspect by firing only one shot. Even hull-down or concealed targets can be engaged and destroyed by the system. As the weapon is easy to handle and has a robust and insensitive design, it can be widely dispersed throughout the military organisation. The NLAW system is a non-expert combat weapon which includes an innovative and cost-effective training system. The weapon has a high SSKP and features PLOS missile guidance electronics, which uses the aiming movement of the operator to predict the flight path to the target, making it easy to for the user to simply aim and fire.
CUTTING EDGE
Many years of experience in developing shoulder-launched missiles and combat solutions have been built into the NLAW, resulting in an ergonomically optimised and intuitive weapon. Well-proven technologies in areas such as warhead, guidance, fuze, CS and IM are combined to deliver the ultimate in anti-tank superiority.
BILL 2
BILL 2
Saabs BILL 2 man-portable, multi-mission ATGW missile system provides highly accurate combat capability against both static and moving targets. This system has MR capabilities and will neutralise targets, including future generation MBTs, at ranges of up to 2200 m through the delivery of a tandem charge. The BILL 2 is a crew operated system, facilitating a rapid reloading time for the operators and ensuring that any threats have a minimal window in which to respond. As well as being a lightweight, highly portable two-man system, BILL 2 can be integrated with vehicles. The missile itself is wire-guided and immune to jamming. Utilising Saabs OTA technology, it effectively attacks the weakest point on targets including those in dug-down positions. The BILL 2 has an extremely fast reaction speed due to it not requiring lock-on or cooling down time.
Suitable for any terrain, the BILL 2 knocks out everything from MBTs and LAFVs to secondary targets. The system has three firing modes which greatly increases its number of potential target types:
BASIC MODE
In this mode the system utilises Saabs OTA technology and the missiles interactive, dynamically compensated, vertically striking, shaped charges hit the MBTs turret from above with devastating results.
NON-ARMOURED MODE
This mode uses the direct LOS with disconnected sensors and hits non-armoured targets with impact fuze functionality.
SOFT TARGET MODE
In soft target mode the BILL 2 is efficient against dismounted enemy troops. Using an elevated flight path, the missile overcomes obstacles and cover. With the magnetic sensor deactivated, the optical sensor and special algorithms provide total accuracy.
AT4
AT4
The AT4, its name a play on words referring to its 84mm calibre, is one of the most successful anti-armour weapons ever developed, battle proven in some of the most challenging of todays warfare environments. It is a lightweight and disposable single operator weapon system. The weapon is just as effective against landing craft, aircraft and helicopters as it is against land-based vehicles. It can also be employed to protect fixed-defence installations, supply points and other vital assets. There are currently three configurations of the AT4 available.
AT4 HIGH EXPLOSIVE ANTI-TANK (HEAT)
The HEAT round delivers multiple effects to the target, causing more than just high internal temperatures. Enemy vehicle crews are also taken out by blinding light and over pressure. The AT4 HEAT is highly effective against CVs, LAFVs, older tanks and many other military vehicles.
AT4 CS
The HEAT RS is optimised for behind armour effect. This weapon is effective against LAFVs and many other military vehicles. The HEAT RS round offers a high IM profile.
AT4 CS AST
This is the original AT4 system, a lowtrajectory and low-dispersion weapon carrying a pre-loaded shell equipped with a shaped charge. The munitions are made even more stable and effective with fins that unfold immediately after the weapon is fired. It has a 300 m range and the HEAT munition provides devastating behind armour effect.
The AT4 CS has a reduced blast signature, lowering the risk of the operator giving away his position when firing the weapon. Suited to the tight confines of urban warfare, its special internal ballistics allows it to be fired from inside buildings, dense jungle, in front of obstacles or with your own troops in close vicinity. The AT4 CS is available preloaded with a specially developed HEAT HP warhead that produces an armour-penetration effect that easily exceeds 500 mm, making it lethal against most types of targets on the battlefield. The AT4 CS is also available preloaded with a HEAT RS round.
Using the AT4 CS AST, the single soldier can have access to an accurate and easy-to-use weapon with the capability to defeat a multitude of targets that characterise the close combat of urban operations. The tandem warhead of AT4 CS AST is designed to be able to defeat a large number of different targets, ranging from an enemy position behind heavy brick or reinforced concrete walls to an enemy within a field fortification or in a light armoured vehicle. This configuration of the AT4 also allows you to blast man-sized breach holes through dense walls, allowing your troops to enter a building without destroying it.
CARL-GUSTAF
CARL-GUSTAF
The Carl-Gustaf is a versatile and recoilless man-portable weapon system which is suitable for direct fire in almost any combat situation. The key to the versatility of this classic 84 mm multi-role weapon is a new generation of ammunition, developed specifically to give soldiers the ability to defeat most types of target. With its array of HEAT, High Explosive Dual Purpose (HEDP), smoke, illumination, anti-structure and anti-personnel ammunition, the two-man crew of gunner and loader can quickly respond to each new threat. A true multi-role weapon system, the Carl-Gustaf enables you to defeat a wide range of Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFV), even those equipped with the latest advances in armour protection. The complete weapon system is also designed to destroy landing craft and bunkers, blast breach holes through brick and concrete walls, knock out concealed troops, send out a smoke screen and supply battlefield illumination.
The Carl-Gustaf M3 launcher features an updated design with weight reduction and other improvements. Complete compatibility between older versions of the launcher and new types of ammunition (and vice versa) delivers in-built flexibility, scalability and cost-effectiveness. The Carl-Gustaf family of ammunition gives infantry the ability to respond quickly and effectively to any threat.
