Daniel 8:14, THE SANCTUARY AND THE EXPOSING OF SATAN'S LONG STANDING PLAN TO HIDE CHRIST'S FULL MINISTRY IN HEAVEN Basically, (and I hope to keep this short and expand somewhat during the week if Ricky chooses to add anything we recommend for those who want to study all of our research on this topic to read the Appendix called Crisis in our Church in our book The Sabbath Proclaimed More Fully, which can be viewed or downloaded here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/150630065/The-SabbathProclaimed-More-Fully) In Daniel 8 we are shown a conspiracy of Satan through His agency called in scripture the "little horn" to hide Christ's ministration in the heavenly sanctuary to perfect a remnant of His people to so that the Christ will WIN the great controversy and answer the last of Satan's charges against the government of God. Here was and still is his plan: "Yea, he magnified [himself] even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily [sacrifice] was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down." Daniel 8:11 How did the little horn magnify himself even to the Prince of the host, Who is Jesus? Simply he sought to take His place. How, by setting up a counterfeit priestly ministration on earth, causing believers to look to man on earth instead of the Man Christ Jesus in heaven... But there is much more and more significant work Satan sought to do through this action, which has affected all of Christendom until the Advent movement should overcome this action: The little horn took away the daily and cast down the place of God's sanctuary... Let's come right to the point of what is being said in this most important verse... The daily which as taken is ha'tamid in hebrew; it means continual, unceasing, to stretch... It is the understanding of this particular aspect of Christ's ministry in heaven which was taken away... That the Cross of Jesus continues, is stretched into the heavenly sanctuary... where daily Christ suffers the agonies of the Crucifixion... ""And they also which pierced Him." These words apply not only to the men who pierced Christ when He hung on the cross of Calvary, but to those who by evil-speaking and wrong-doing are piercing Him today. Daily He suffers the agonies of the crucifixion." {ST, January 28, 1903 par. 8} "The reason that we carelessly indulge in sin is that we do not see Jesus. We would not lightly regard sin, did we appreciate the fact that sin wounds our Lord." {YI, February 10, 1898 par. 3}

That the little horn cast done the *place* of God's sanctuary, the meaning is this... The hebrew word for 'place' is makon... it means the basis or foundation... The little horn cast down, took away the knowledge of the true basis or foundation of the sanctuary (he could only take away the knowledge and make it of none effect to the believers because he could not take it away in reality, same is he could only *think* to change times and laws, but they are not really changed...) So what we see is that through his arts and devices the little horn succeeded for the most part in hiding (taking away) the KNOWLEDGE that Christ is our Lamb and Sacrifice in the heavenly sanctuary... JESUS AND HIS BLOOD IS THE BASIS AND FOUNDATION OF ALL WORSHIP AND MINISTRATION IN THE HEAVENLY SANCTUARY: "On entering the building, I saw that the vast temple was supported by ONE IMMENSE PILLAR, and to this was *tied a Lamb all mangled and bleeding*. We who were present seemed to know that this Lamb had been torn and bruised on our account. All who entered the temple must come before it and confess their sins. {Early Writings, page 78.4} What is this immense pillar to which our Lamb is tied in the sanctuary/temple? "The scripture which above all others had been both *the foundation and the central pillar* of the advent faith was the declaration: "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Daniel 8:14." {GC 409.1} "Many have expressed wonder that God demanded so many slain victims in the sacrificial offerings of the Jewish people; but it was to rivet in their minds *the great truth* that *without shedding of blood there is no remission of sins*... How little we as a people feel the force of this great truth!" {RH, September 21, 1886 par. 4} So this must still take place as long as there is sin among God's people and our LAMB cannot be set free or untied from His work in the sanctuary until a remnant of God's people have been completely cleansed from sin, saved never to sin again and sealed in Christ's righteousness to stand before a holy God without an Intercessor! This closes the Great Controversy and Satan has sought to prevent this from happening at all costs!!! But while Satan had plans through his agent, the little horn, to take away this knowledge of Jesus our Lamb, God had foreordained plans to raise up a people to reveal THE TRUTH about the great salvation to be wrought in the heavenly sanctuary! "Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain [saint] which spake, How long [shall be] the vision [concerning] the daily [sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Daniel 8:13,14 After the 2300 day prophecy expired, not only would Jesus enter into the Most Holy Place to effect the cleansing of the sanctuary, but HE would also raise a people to RESTORE the knowledge of the heavenly sanctuary and our Sacrificial Lamb presiding there...

This is the greatness of our mission and purpose! This is our calling, to point sinners and even all the people of the earth to Jesus in His closing, soon to finish ministration in the heavenly sanctuary: "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be *cleansed* (restored, justified, made right). "The scripture which above all others had been both the foundation and the central pillar of the advent faith was the declaration: "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Daniel 8:14." {GC 409.1} "The typical shadows of the Jewish tabernacle no longer possess any virtue. A daily and yearly typical atonement is no longer to be made, but *the atoning sacrifice through a mediator is essential* because of the constant commission of sin*. Jesus is officiating in the presence of God, offering up His shed blood, as it had been a lamb slain. Jesus presents the oblation offered for every offense and every shortcoming of the sinner." {1SM 343.4} "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you *through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus* our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, *through the knowledge of him* that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Pet. 1:2-4 "He has taken the blood of his atonement into the holiest of all, sprinkled it upon the mercy-seat and his own garments, and blessed the people. SOON HE WILL APPEAR THE SECOND TIME TO DECLARE THAT THERE IS *NO MORE SACRIFICE* FOR SIN."
