Chapter 5 CHN Bag Technique and Principle 1.

Upon arriving at the clients home, place the bag on the table or any flat surfaced lined with paper lining, clean side out. Put the bags handles or strap beneath the bag. 2. Ask for a basin of water or a glass of water. Place this outside of the working area. 3. Open the bag, take the plastic lining and spread over the work area. 4. Take out the hand towel, soap dish, and apron and place them at one corner of the work area 5. Do hand washing. Wipe and dry with towel 6. Put on the apron right side out and wrong side crease touching the body, sliding the head into the head strap. Neatly tie the straps at the back. 7. Put out the things most needed in rendering Nursing Care and place at one corner of the work area. 8. Place the paper receptacle outside the work area. 9. Close the bag 10. Proceed to the nursing care treatment 11. After nursing care rendered, clean and alcoholize the things used 12. Do hand washing again 13. Open the bag and put back all the things in their proper places 14. Remove the apron folding away from the body, with soiled folded inwards and clean side out. Place it in the bag. 15. Clean and fold the plastic, cloth or paper linen and place it in the bag. 16. Get the CHN bag, fold the paper lining and place in between the flaps and cover of the bag.

2. On the right rear of the bag 2 test tubes and a test tube holder Medicine dropper Alcohol lamp

3. On the left rear of the bag Medicine glass Baby scale Bandage scissor Rubber suction

4. Back of the Bag, Left to Right 70% alcohol Betadine solution Hydrogen peroxide Terramycin ophthalmic ointment Zepharin solution Spirit of ammonia Acetic acid Benedicts solution Liquid soap Cotton in sterile water

5. In the center of the Bag 2 pairs of forceps ( straight and curved) 1 surgical scissor Sterile Dressing ( OS and cotton balls)

Roller bandage Syringe ( 5cc, and 2cc) Hypodermic needles (g19, 22, 23, 25) Sterile cord clamp Kidney basin

6. On the top pile center of the bag Hand towel in plastic Bag Soap in soap dish Apron Plastic/ Linen Lining

7. Pocket of the bag Surgical gloves Waste paper receptacle
