THE AWESOME GLORY OF GOD The Heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shows knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. (Psm 19: 1-4.) Yet the fool hath said in his heart that there is no God. (Psm 14:1) If some believers and non-believers are asked about God, their response would probably vary from the one absolutely rooted in foolishness & ignorance that there is no God, to the simplistic conclusion He is the creator of Heaven and earth and all things in them. The way we perceive God informs the way we relate to Him. But who is this God? Who can accurately describe His personhood or likeness. What does He look like? Has anyone ever seen God in person? None, not even the angels who only behold the indescribable and most profound beauty of His glory and the fear-someness of His holiness, except His only begotten Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The beloved Moses tried hard And he (Moses) said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. Exod. 33: 18-20, but God replied Thou cannot see my face: for there shall no man see me and live. We, are, however, persuaded by both Isaiah 6: 1-2 and 1 Kings 22:19..to believe that both prophets Isaiah and Micah the biblical prophets of Israel were opportunely privileged to see the Lords glory (and not His face) on His throne with His royal robes covering and filling the entire temple of Heaven amidst His innumerable company of heavenly hosts. Both could not offer further description. This was further re-enforced by our Lord Jesus Christ in John 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save He (Jesus Christ) which is of God, he hath seen the Father. Gods common appearance revealed by: (Exod. 20:18, 1 King 19:11-13, Rev. 4:5 & Rev. 11:19) was often in the form of a pillar of cloud, lightning, consuming fire, thunder and voices. An awesome God indeed. As there is nobody who can paint His accurate picture, let us ask Him for His personal introduction. This awesome heavenly Father made a personal introduction of Himself in Isaiah 45:5. I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God besides me: I girded thee, though thou has not known me. That they may know from the rising of the sun and from the west that there is none besides me. I am the Lord and there is none else. I form the light, and

create darkness, I make peace, and create evil: I, the Lord do all these things. He stated further in Isaiah 40:13 I have measured the water ( the mighty oceans) in the hollow of my hand, and meted out heavens with the span and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighted the mountain in scales and the hills in a balance. Behold the nations (all the nations of the earth) are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balanceall nations before me are as nothing; and they are counted to me, less than nothing, and as vanity. To whom then would you liken God? Or what likeness will ye compare unto HimHave ye not known? Have ye not heard? Hath it not been told to you from the beginning? Have ye not understood from the foundation of the earth? It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers, that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in. verse 28: Have thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. Evidently, this God is boundless in time and space, He is limitless in power, and authority. He is unfathonable in all His ways. He is the source and fountain of life, authority, power, honor and ALL. He is God Almighty. His glory and honor remain far beyond the comprehension of heaven and earth. He is God. His work of Old: The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. (Psm 111: 7-8) The facts about creation as contained in the book of Genesis, is both mystifying and profoundly amazing. At the beginning, the entire VOID was without shape or form altogether in total darkness. In His absolute wisdom, he laid the foundation of the earth and with His right hand, he spanned the Heavens, separating them with firmaments, simply by His Word, by His command: Let there be light and there was light and the Lord made a division between light and darkness. The entire earth was still completely under water. Again, by His command, the waters were gathered together in one place and called the sea and rivers, while the dry land was summoned out of the sea. He established a demarcation between them that cannot be violated. He created the sun to rule the day and the moon to rule the night while charting out their daily routes. The stars in their constellation are as sands of sea shore, ye He knows their number and they are named individually by Him. His creative imagination is actualized by His word His command. And God commanded the creation of moving creatures in the sea, in the air and on land on the fifth and sixth day of creation simply by His word and it was so. Would you not fear this God? Do you know that by His word, the Red Sea was parted, by the same word the sun was made to stand still upon Mt. Gibeon and the moon over the valley of Ajalon without moving an inch for a whole day. (Josh. 10) Have you not heard that by this same word the 90 year old menopause Sarah became pregnant and delivered Isaac and the billionaire turned puppet, Job, was restored twice. By His word, the greatest King of the world was reduced to a beast and made to live in the wilderness for 7 years! By the word, the four day old in the grave was raised alive, the blind from the womb were made to receive sight, the cripple, the lame and the devastated were restored. The turbulent wave of the sea was humbled into silence and the hurricane made to FedEx His message. This God

has no regard for anybody, except those who fear Him. Kings, Queens, presidents and billionaires are worthless than vanity before Him. He is God Almighty. His name is Jehovah. Would you not fear Him and worship Him? His judgment is done altogether in truth and uprightness (Psm 111:7) Whoever digs a hole for his neighbor, he makes him to fall into it himself and whoever rolls a stone, He makes it to return to him that has rolled it. Prov. 26:27. He repays good for good, mercy for mercy, forgiveness for repentance, but evil for non-repenting evil doers.. Whosoever sows seeds of wickedness, He makes him to harvest the fruits with his/her offsprings. He repays people according to their ways. Job 34:10 He is a God of reciprocity. The Noahic generation was completely wiped off, sparing only Noahs family of 8. Millions of pilgrims delivered from Pharoahs bondage were totally annihilated in the wilderness except for 2 people Joshua and Caleb. While the two populous cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were burnt into ashes with fire and brimstone all in demonstration of the fierceness of his judgment and warning to this terminal generation of ungodliness. There is no hidden place before God. Will you not examine your ways and change? I am God, and there is none else. I am God and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from the ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying my counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure (Is. 46:9-10) I am a just God and a Savior; there is none besides me. Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is non else. Will you not reflect today on the Supremacy of God and turn over yourself and your problems unto Him. HE IS ABLE!!!
