SSG101 Summer 2013 Individual Assignment Choose only 1 option: Option 1: Each student will choose a working group

from a company to write on working in groups issues or challenges faced by that group. From the theories acquired from this course, give your recommendations to this group for solving those issues or challenges. The input for the assignment must be based on direct interviews with people from that company. Students have to provide the interview records (audios or videos) as well as names, addresses and phone numbers of the interviewees with the reports. Choose ONLY ONE of the following topics: 1. Using the group communication process to examine communication issues and challenges of a working group in a chosen company. 2. Applying Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory and Schutz's Theory of interpersaonal needs to understand how a working group of a chosen company satisfy its members' needs Option 2: Each student will reflect on his/her participation in the SSG small group of which he/she is a member. Applying the group development stages of Tuckman, she/he will identify and analyze issues of the group and draw lessons learned as the result of his/her participation in the group.
