Behavioural Objective: By the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to: a) Know the different types of animals and the sounds by completed the task sheet given correctly. b) Predict and share their ideas with their friends and teacher by interacting in the reading session. c) Understand the storyline by answering the comprehension questions. Teaching Aid: Video, picture cards, story text, worksheet, colour pencil, manila card, stick, scissors, and glue. Word list: Cow-moo, dog-bark, cat-mew, duck-quack, goat-bleak and Bird-chip. Sentence pattern: So she bought some.. the______made a fine noise, but it was not enough

Grammar: Simple Past Tense Pupils previous knowledge: Pupils have learnt some types of animals and the sound.

Teacher/Pupils Activities Teacher asks pupils on types of animals and the sound that they know. Teacher plays a video clip on animal with the sound. Teacher puts on the board the pictures of the animals. Teacher introduces on the sound of the animals using sound clip. Teacher asks pupils to gather in the middle of the classroom. Teacher shows the cover of the story text. Teacher asks pupils to predict the story line based on the title and picture on the text. Teacher read the story to the pupils with some actions that resemble the actions in the story. Teacher asks help from the pupils to make the sound of the animals through the story. As the teacher tells the story, she stops at certain parts to ask what the pupils think will happen next. Teacher discusses on the moral values of the story. Teacher writes 3 questions on the board and tells the students to find the answers as they read the story. Teacher distributes the story text to the pupils.

Teacher distributes task sheet to pupils. Pupils are given 5 minutes to complete the task. Teacher divides pupils into group of seven. Teacher distributes templates that contain the pictures of animal. Each student in a group will get different types of animal. Teacher asks pupils to colour their own stick puppet. Teacher gives the pupils the materials needed. Pupils work on the stick puppet. Pupils have to role play the story using the stick puppet based on the dialogue on the story text. Teacher replays on the video clip and asks the pupils to sing the song together.

Task sheet Materials: colour pencil, manila card, stick, scissors, glues.
