Your assignment is to create a poster by using words and pictures that show information you learned at Monarch Lake. The expectations for this poster are as follows:
1. Use all the space on the poster board. Some blank space will exist, but it should not be the biggest part of your poster. 2. Work neatly. 3. Poster must be colorful and appealing to the eye. 4. Use both words (correctly spelled) and original pictures. 5. Your name must be on the front. 6. The date must be on the front (the date we went to Monarch LakeSeptember 19, 2013). 7. A title must be on the front. For example: What I Learned at Monarch Lake 8. You must include at least 3 facts you learned from each of at least 5 of the 8 stations. (Translation: You need to pick at least 5 stations to focus on. For each of those 5 stations, you need to include at least 3 facts you learned today.) Using your notes you collected on your graphic organizer will make this task MUCH easier. The station names are: Monarch History, Fire, Wilderness, Canoeing, Wildlife, Forest Management, Water Quality, and Pond Life. 9. Label each station neatly on your poster. 10. Make a border around your poster that fits the Monarch Lake theme. 11. Capitalization and punctuation are used correctly. 12. You may choose printing or cursive, but your poster must be legible. 13. Share your poster with a parent or other adult family member explaining about the Monarch Lake field trip and what you learned there. Have the family member sign this paper to show that you shared your poster and information with him/her. 14. Turn in this paper signed and your poster on Thursday, September 26.
