Learning Methodology

The entire schedule is planned to optimize learning. Class room sessions include lectures, case studies and presentations. Eminent personalities from the industry and academia deliver lectures on various business related topics every week. Each student undergoes a practical training for a period of 60 days during the vacation at the end of first year The first year consist of thorough overview of all management areas and students are groomed in corporate practices and all aspects of business. In the second year, a student has to select one specialization group. Each group includes eight subjects in semester III and eight in semester IV, from which the student has to select five in each semester of year II. Granting of selected specialization is subject to availability of seats. Teaching Plan :RGBSs curriculum lay prominence on interactive learning inclusive of lectures, case studie s, projects, games, assignments, competition and outdoor visits for overall development of students. Academic Session starts with a long Induction Program to get to know each other and concentrate efficiently on team assignments & Competitions. Case study method :RGBS Faculty are implicated in the improvement and production of Case Studies to support the teaching of key management practices and operational innovations. Cases are written with particular learning objectives in mind and are developed in the classroom before publication. Workshops :At the RGBS we have an environment that generates research which is both current and thorough. Conferences, seminars and workshops are a customary feature at the campus providing a medium for presenting research work and discussing important issues of global interest. These events bring mutually academics, corporate and policy-makers and are an opportunity to network and learn.

Project Reports :RGBS Students undertake research projects to the corporate. The research carried out help companies to understand their markets better, anticipate change, respond to market forces, identify and exploit opportunities and also formulate solutions to solve business problems. RGBS students have worked on such projects for Pepsico, Suzlon, Inforsys, Cadbury, HDFC, Corporate Bridge and many more. Summer Internships :Summer Internships are scheduled for 2 months under a strong supervision in blue chip companies wherein students apply their theoretical knowledge and skills to work life. RGBSs summer internships are designed to provide students a platform to perform and to further develop their capabilities in their skill areas. It also helps employers to analyze the competence of students.

Industrial Visits :To expose students to the working of any organization and managers RGBS organize timely Industrial visits. It also helps students to relate the concepts learnt to the working of the organization. Students also prepare synopsis on the same after every visit based on Industry profile, Background and inception of the company, Nature of the business carried, Vision, Mission and Quality Policy, Product/Services Profile, Area of Operation

Global/National/Regional, Ownership Pattern, Competitors Information, Infrastructural facilities, Achievement Award if any, Workflow model (end to end) etc.
