October is preacher appreciation month. Let your preacher know how much you appreciate him in some small way that he will remember. 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 7 Church Board meeting 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9 Women's Council meeting 5:00 p.m. To 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27 5th annual Trunk or Treat On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Walk to Remember Alzheimer's walk was held at Long Branch Lake in Macon. There were 110 walkers in all. The association had raised $13,000 by Saturday's walk, but there are still donations coming in so the total will be higher. We had 10 members from our church at the walk. Pictures are posted in the foyer. Thank you to all that came out and supported this cause! A couple of addresses to make note of: 1.) Vernon Janes 5930 Scanlan Ave. #1 St. Louis, Mo. 63139 He had a Birthday yesterday Sept.28. Vernon and wife will be there for around 2 months for his treatments. Please send cards. 2.)
