Phase 1: Idea Generation Nowadays, the demand for different products keeps on growing stronger every day.

Thats why companies strive hard to create and innovate new products to get the attention of consumers. Getting the interest of consumers can help the business organization in promoting their products. When a new product become successful, it can enhance an organizations reputation and standing in the marketplace, bring prominence to the brand, increase turnover, profit and market share, and enhance customer satisfaction and build loyalty. Since we need to create a new product, we decided to have a brainstorming. The following are some of our ideas generated based on our observation: Rice Coffee We noticed that some people only drink coffee for their breakfast. We all know that breakfast is the most important meal in a day. Since most of them are busy, they only have time to drink coffee because they believe it can boost performance. Thats why we decided to create a rice coffee so that they will be full just by drinking coffee. Toothbrush with Magic Toothpaste Kids dont like brushing their teeth for many times. Once they brush their teeth, they believe its already enough. Thats not true since kids love eating sweets such as chocolates, candies and ice creams. They should brush their teeth after eating to avoid cavities. Thats why we come up with the toothbrush where the toothpaste automatically appears to get their interest. Grilling Equipment with Built in Blower We use coal to grill our foods here in the Philippines. Since we are using coal, we need to expose it in the air to blaze the fire. It was tiring to use fan while grilling so we thought of grilling equipment with built in blower.

Vegetable Breading Mix A healthy way to add up to a boring breading mix, we think of this idea for the children whose always eating fried foods. Adding vegetables on it can make the food healthier and bring nutrients that are needed by our body.

Glow in the Dark Liquor This liquor specializes for party events. We light up the drinks to add up for flashing, coolness and happiness for the occasions. Unique idea to make the party more interesting that the usual.

Phase 2: Idea Screening There are many options available to choose from by the business organization in creating a new product. The problem is, not all of them can be made and develop by the business. Sometimes, it is because of financial problems, they dont have en ough resources; it is way out of their product line, etc. So they need to screen these ideas and group them into three: promising ideas, marginal ideas and rejects. Rice Coffee It is a marginal idea but we think it still needs to be improved. Toothbrush with Magic Toothpaste We reject this idea since we dont have enough resources to develop this product and we cant find any research about this. Grilling Equipment with Built in Blower

It is a marginal idea but it already exists in the market. Besides, it wont work without electricity so better use electric grilling equipment. Its easier. Vegetable Breading Mix It is a promising idea and very easy to develop. It does not exist in the market yet. Glow in the Dark Liquor We reject this idea since it can only be done using Ultraviolet light. It cannot glow in a normal light. From those product categories we choose Vegetable Breading Mix. We choose this product because of the reasons: It can compete with other products in the market and chance to surpass in the same product category. It can be done and we can test many times without expensing too much money on its trial and error. The health benefit that it can give to possible customers and it will be the key to its success in the market. Supplying its ingredients and raw materials will be not being hard to find and many suppliers can give us offers in making of this product. We reach in the same decision that it will be a good product to give time and effort to make in the market.

Phase 3: Concept Development Nowadays, kids prefer eating foods which does not sustain the nutrients that they need, like fried chicken, hotdog and other processed foods. Parents, especially mothers find hard time feeding their child/children. On the other hand, adults become more conscious

about the nutrients which they get from the food they eat. They look for delicious food which is also healthy to their body. In connection to those, we created a product which may be suitable for their needs. The idea of vegetable breading mix onto fried foods will not only sustain the nutrition needs of children but also will answer the cravenness of adults for a delicious fried food like fried chicken. To try the idea which we have chosen, we apply the vegetable breading before cooking a fried chicken, and then we try it. After trying it on our own, we made it available to people (possible costumers) for concept testing. We give them information regarding our product, the composition of the product, how it is done, etc. The main intention of the test is for us to hear the opinions and suggestions of the costumers regarding our product, whether they like it or not. Are they going to patronize the product if ever we launch it and how much are they willing to spend for that particular product?. Majority of the people who tried our product likes it so we stick to this product concept. We applied a marketing strategy of free sampling in partnership with Magnolia Chicken. In every purchase of at least 1 whole chicken, we are giving a free sample for them.

Phase 4: Market Strategy

Product We all know that kids love anything that is fried such as fried chicken, hotdogs, pork chops etc. As a mom, you will do anything and everything to make your kids happy. But there are times that you need to say no to their requests since they need to eat fruits and vegetables too. It is too heartbreaking for a mother to ignore the pleas of their children. Thats why we came up with Veggie Fry. It is a breading mix made up of vegetables. With this, kids can enjoy their favorite dish without knowing that they are also eating vegetables.

It is way more nutritious. It is very easy to use too. Just like Crispy Fry, all you need to do is coat this mix to your food before cooking it.

Place We all know that the best product in the world will never make an impact in the business world if no one can locate and obtain it. So it is very important to give a careful consideration of where we are going to place our products. Our products will be added to the line of breading mix of Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation. We will use the Intensive Distribution Strategy. As the manufacturer, we will sell our products to the wholesales who in turn will sell to retailers until it reach the customers. We will implement this method because we believe that we will reach more people by using this strategy. Just like the Crispy Fry, our product will be distributed to the supermarket, grocery stores and convenience stores.

Price If you distribute the product in the right area, the people will come, but good pricing surely plays a role in getting them to come back. One of the main elements of every marketing strategy is the effective pricing of the product. We need to price our products which will be affordable in the mind of the consumers. We will use the cost-plus strategy. It is the approach wherein we will calculate the cost of producing the product and adds on a percentage to that price to give the selling price.

Promotion Even if you use the right strategy in placement, pricing and production, it is not enough until you formulate a way on how to promote your product. It is the pillar of success of organizations merchandise. Promotion is the method you use to spread the

word about your product or service to customers, stakeholders and the broader public. Using effective promotion will determine the life cycle of the products.

Phase 5: Business Analysis The target markets of the product are children whom are hard to feed, and adults whom are health conscious. The product itself is family oriented and may be also applicable to teenagers who want to get the nutritional value of vegetable without sacrificing their favorite food like fried chicken. It may also help those vegetarian who wants to try meat without removing vegetables in their diet. In general, the product is profitable based on the target market itself. The price will be based on the ingredients used and manpower needed to do it. But we will assure the costumers that it will be affordable. The demand for a vegetable breading mix existed because of lack of nutrition in the food we ate, especially

when eating dry foods. The demand itself is regular because it can be applied whether dry or wet season. The competitors for this kind of product are available and may also affect the business itself. One example of competitor is Crispy Fry breading mix, though not much the same in terms of content it can be classified as indirect competitor because it also improves the taste of the fried food. In terms of total sales, we determine the sales amount of the business which is received for services rendered, this can be a year-to-date amount, or it can be for the previous 12 months. Then determine the amount of sales the business is received for the products it has sold. After that, we add the figures for those steps and the result will be our annual sales. Since our product is new in the market, we will indulge in TV advertisement because it is the most available tool which can reach our target market. We will also invest in print advertisement, like magazines and newspaper. For example, Health magazines like Womens and Mens health magazines. We will also take partnership with magnolia chicken and fast food chains like Jollibee. The profit of the product will be based on the expense and revenue of the company. The more the revenue compared to expense will mean that the business is successful. And if the business is successful, it will be accepted.

Phase 6: Product Development

You may find it useful to shake the material from the grinder through a sieve 7. Store in sealed jars

For Dry Mix 1. Combine the dry ingredients in a 9 X 13 baking pan, make sure they are well mixed.

How to Cook 1. Reserve 1 cup of dry mix and spread it evenly on a platter this keeps the pieces from getting soggy and pulling the breading off of each other. 2. Use the wet hand, dry hand method and take each battered piece and dredge it in the dry mix until well coated and then move to platter, do not stack the pieces. 3. Only prepare as many pieces as will fit in your deep fryer in one batch. 4. Do each batch separately just before putting in fryer and fry until medium brown following your Fryers directions. 5. Don't try to Stretch the dry mix, when it gets soggy and too clumpy, make a new batch of dry mix.

Phase 7: Test Marketing In test marketing, the product and marketing program are tested in more realistic market setting. Test marketing is needed to be able to learn how consumers and dealers will react to our product. Since our product is Vegetable breading which is actually new to the market, our company somehow may require a lot of test marketing. For our consumer product, we have three approaches to rely on, these are standard test markets, controlled test markets, or simulated test markets. First, we focused on the standard test markets. Standard Test Markets This approach is the most widely used approach for major market testing. Using standard test markets, we need to find small number of representative test cities. Vegetable breading is priced, promoted, and distributed exactly as if it had been commercialized on a full scale basis. This could be costly and could last for months, if not years. Moreover, the best target places for our product are the supermarkets in malls and supermarkets near residential areas. Because our target consumers are mothers who have hard time to feed their child/children with vegetables, we need to start our encouraging strategy using advertisement that is conversant. It somehow intends to get the attention of parents. Follow-on advertisements, using free sampling as one of our marketing strategies can also create the image of our product. In every purchase of Magnolia Chicken, a free sample of vegetable breading is given to the consumers. Furthermore, extensive sales promotion can also be use like giving away a pack of vegetable breading with a cook book wherein mothers can gain ideas how to serve different nutritious dishes using our vegetable breading. The idea of standard test markets can be risky for us primarily because it is costly and can last for years. However, we can easily position our vegetable breading to the market and other breading products are not really threat. Other breading products are positioned as an added flavor to coat frying dishes and create great taste in it, but our

vegetable breading mix; from the word itself Vegetable creates a nutritious and delicious approach to every consumer.

If the children knows that they eating vegetables in their favorite fried food, some of them will not continue eating because of the vegetables. It will be a lost in our product sales if they dont want to eat with vegetables SAWA factor

Not all of us will always eat fried food in a week. Also we know many Filipinos eat their food with soup or what we called SABAW that makes us easy to eat. That could be a major factor to this product knowing that our customers are meticulous with their food.

This product can be a breakthrough product with comes to breading mix. Many consumers will attract to this product because of the healthiness that can give to every people that will buy this product.

It can be any use in fried foods. It can be in chicken, fish, beef, vegetables or any variety of cooking styles you can think of. But one thing we can assure of that our product will make it delicious and healthy.

As we spread the news using different kinds of advertisement, we can boost to prioritize healthy living and eat healthy delicious food. This will help both the consumer and the company to achieve one goal which is to decrease the sickness rate and increase the healthy way of living in our community.

THREATS Competitors

In the making of this product, this can be a threat to their company. A product that can evenly match or surpass with it comes to breading mix category. But it is a threat also to us because they will do anything to not just past them in the market. They could do a

same product and make an adjustment to make it make it more marketable than our product. Second will be lowering the price of their product to manipulate the customers in buying their product. Lastly do a product that surpasses the quality of our product, do bigger sales promotional activities and make us a small part in the chart of the competitors as a threat to them. Financial problems

This can be issue to us that we still didnt know how much will it cost to our company. A large amount of capital in making this product is needed, if the company can support that it will be a disappointment and it will be a waste of time, effort and money in making this product.
