Chefs Anne Neary and Edward Hayden have for a second year joined forces with Country Style foods and will be showcasing some fantastic recipes using the Country Style products in a variety of interesting and innovative ways which will be of use to you in all of your culinary endeavors. Rumors around Savour Kilkenny Headquarters is that the duo will even be cooking some festive recipes at this years event so come along and sample the best of Country Style fare! Edward Hayden is very well known from his weekly cookery demonstrations on TV3s Ireland AM and is author of the best selling, Food For Friends, Food To Love and Edward Entertains cookery books. Edward is also the resident cookery columnist with Womans Way magazine. Anne Neary In addition to running the Ryeland House Cookery School, Anne is a published author. Her first cookery book, A Country Kitchen was published in October 2009 and Food For Sharing in October 2011. She also presents a regular cookery slot live on air on KCLR 96FM. With over 20 years experience in kitchens all over the world, Maria has been Head Chef at the award-winning Zuni Restaurant in Kilkenny for 13 years. Maria studied Culinary Arts in Waterford Institute of Technology, and Hotel Management at Liverpool Catering College. Invited to join Euro Toque in 2007, Maria has previously worked in London, Edinburgh, the United States and Australia. Her extensive culinary experience and talent has lead to Zunis frequent appearance in both the Bridgestone Guide and Michelin Guide.

Kevin Dundon is an award-winning Irish celebrity chef, television personality and author, known for featuring on television series such as Guerrilla Gourmet and Heat. He is also the Chef/Proprietor of Dunbrody Country House Hotel & Restaurant, located in Irelands sunny South East. Dunbrody was established in 1997 by Kevin and his wife Catherine and has very quickly become a must-see for all foodies. It is now considered to be one of Irelands Premier Hotels & Restaurant. Kevins runs a cookery school at the hotel as well which is recognised as one of the most respected in the country Thanks to Caulfileds Supervalu, Savour are delighted to welcome back Kevin Dundon. Following on from his appearance at last years festival, Kevin returns to share some of his mouth-watering recipes based on Modern Irish Food. With a menu featuring Courgette and Almond Soup, Trout Fillets with Streaky Bacon and Flaked Almonds, Sticky Glaze Chicken Thighs with Asian Stuffing and Orange Pudding, be sure to pop along to the Chefs Table to see one of Irelands most popular and talented chefs in action. Cormac Rowe
Originally from Wexford, Cormac started his career with Kellys in Rosslare before arriving at Mount Juliet eight years ago via the Park in Kenmare. As Executive Head Chef, his innovative menu has earned the Lady Helen a much deserved reputation as one of Irelands finest dining experiences. In September of this year, the Lady Helen was awarded a prestigious Michelin star. The gourmet restaurant, which already boasts 3 AA rosettes, was awarded the accolade for both its service and contemporary menu. Earlier this year the Lady Helen also won the Best Hotel Restaurant in the coveted Restaurant Association of Ireland Awards. Cormacs dishes are prepared using the finest local produce and fresh herbs, picked daily from the estates own herb garden.

This year Sunil has beaten very well established chefs to to be named Restaurant Association of Ireland Awards Chef of The Year 2013. Born in Gwalior in central India, Sunil gained experience with the world famous Oberoi group, before coming to Ireland to join the Jaipur group in 2001. He finds inspiration from local produce and is mentored by Chef Atul Kochhar, twice Michelin Starred Head Chef at Benares Restaurant in London. Sunil has been instrumental in reshaping the perception of Indian cuisine with his boldly flavoured, contemporary cooking. His menus reflect Sunils extensive research, incorporating dishes from all corners of India. Sunil has garnered an impressive array of awards, this year alone he has won Restaurant Dublin 2013 Restaurant Association of Ireland Awards Best Ethnic Ireland 2013 Food & Wine Magazine Awards Best Chef Leinster & Ireland 2013 Restaurant Association of Ireland Awards

We are delighted to welcome back Spice Specialist Arun Kapil to Kilkenny for the third year running, where he will show us how to whip up a simple but delicious Indian meal in minutes, and how to incorporate fresh spices into everyday cooking. Having honed his skills at Ballymaloe House and kitchens in London, Aruns passion for flavour and desire to use the freshest, most authentic ingredients culmintated in the foundation of his award winning spice company Green Saffron in 2007 Country Winner for Ireland at the the Sial DOr International Retail Awards, 2012 and a 2012 Great Taste Award (Gold Star).
Alan Foley
Alan Foley, Head Chef at The Step House Hotel has been cooking up a storm at his familys hotel since it first opened in October 2007. The award-winning Cellar Restaurant (formally known as Rubens) has received glowing reviews under Alans reign from many of the industrys leading food critics including Sally and John McKenna, Lucinda OSullivan and Paolo Tullio. In recent years Alan has also received numerous award nominations from the Restaurants Association of Ireland. Alan will demonstrate how to cook a fish dish to perfection, with an array of seasonal vegetables.
Fiona Uyema
A Tipperary native, Fiona Uyemas passion for Japanese food and culture began in university when she spent 3 years studying in university in Japan. While there, she learned about Japanese food from local housewives and friends in a local village. This is a unique opportunity to learn the art of sushi using Fionas simple approach to sushi making and Japanese cooking. Fiona will explain some of the common misconceptions around sushi and Japanese food will pass on her extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine.

Following the success of Thomastown in Kilkenny LEADER Partnerships Town of Food competition, a number of the participating towns have organised events for Savour 2013. Piltown, Callan and Castlecomer will host a series of events aimed at entertaining and informing foodies with a wide variety of interests. Food enterprise, food heritage as well as festive events will be held in these three towns that participated in the competition. Dine on local produce in Piltown, learn traditional baking methods in Callan and discover the best tips for starting your own food business in Castlecomer Enterprise Centre. Thomastown will be holding a major event with a Long Table Dinner with a host of locally produced food celebrating the wealth of local food products the county has to offer with friends old and new in the countys winning Town of Food.
