Interview experiences : I was actually shortlisted for IT IS division after clearing my apti and i had a single round of interview

comprising of both technical and hr. The interview panel comprised of 3 members.. The first question asked was about my college life and all..and then he asked me if i had started working on any project..and then he asked some questions reg arding that.. I mentioned satellite communication and digital electronics as my areas of inter est..so he was asking me questions from that only..some of the questions are :wh at exactly is digital electronics?? Difference between analog and digital?? And gate & nor gate realizations along with truth tables.. Diff between tv satellite and mobile phone satellite?? how the satellites communicate??how is info transmitted?? and coming to hr other panel member asked me, If i was ready to work anywhere outside the country to which i replied yes and t hen he asked me what about Pakistan,Bangladesh to which i replied when i m out for a job,location is not a constraint and i would be happy to work anywhere and the n he asked me if i would work in Assam and again answered with a yes and then th ey asked me where is Assam??i replied north east and the next question was What do you know about infrastructure services(it is)?? Why do u want to work under it is?? What does infrastructure in general mean? Hyderabad s infrastructure has improved in the past 10 years what do you understand from that??Can you give an example??and the final question was Can you explain about the worst day of your life in 2 mins?? The candidates were actually shortlisted into 3 divisions like EIS(for mech and electrical depts),IT and IT IS depending on their performance in apti and other factors like academics. In our college 2190 attended the test out of which 1233 cleared apti around 250 were shortlisted for EIS,61 for IT IS and around 923 for IT.. for EIS people most of the interview questions were from areas of interest and o ther core subjects as well for IT people they asked them to write some simple c programs and some basic que stions from c and c++ hope this helps :) p.s : ignore spelling and grammar mistakes if any !! Books sites used for overall interview experience : ANSI C-Balagurusamy(for c language) Digital Electronics-R K Jain and some other academic books :) Advice to aspirants: Concentrate on the verbal part well as it is the main elimination round.There i s no cutoff for verbal part but a simple pass or fail.Try attempting 15 question s.Try researching about the company before you attend the interview.
