The exam: what’s your score?

The semester is wounding off; oh, or is it the new session beginning for those in
the high schools. Yes, baccalaurate is also fast approaching; and infact, the
professional exams are also coming up in less than two months from now, and the
invigilators are always very strict. Why not; afterall, its for your own good; not
that you fail, but that you know you knew and understand what the lecture taught.

The year almanac and semester examination timetable is also already out, lecturers
and teachers have already set the exam questions, based on the scheme ofn work and
teaching syllabus. The marking scheme has also been set! As a student and
candidate for the offing exams, have you started your examination preparations?
Have you started denying yourself of good sleep, and perusing through cold and dark
candle nights for this exams? Infact, some lecturers have already helped you
streamline your reading stress, by giving you areas of concentrations (AOC). Were
you at the class to put them down, or have you copied them from colleagues, the
AOC's? And soon enough, the examination would be over, and you'll be preparing to
see your scores; what would you be expecting?

As students of life expecting soon to enter the baccalaurate hall, how ready are
you? Our inevitable examination that would determine our culmulative grade point
(average) or induction as an undergraduate or a member of that professional body
is none other than that set by GOD. In his grace and mercy, HE has streamlined our
perusal stress, and giving us lectures from his syllabus and scheme of work--
CHRIST's biography, THe Bible-- by helping us to AOC's, which is simply ours, and
ours alone to thoroughly peruse through this portion and prepare for that decisive
examination.

As good students who do not want to fail or be at the bottom of the class, we are
to wholly concentrate on tyhe AOC,whcih is CHRIST. Judgement day, our inevitable
result day is coming; and being the examinaer who'll mark our lifes within the
boeders of his already set marking scheme, HE expects our answers to be in line.

His time-table has been set and released, which indicates that judgement day, when
results would be released, is closer than we once thought, from the time we began
the semester, term and recieving lectures

Living makes you a student, and so, what kind of student are you going to be? You
have the AOC, what are you preparing for, for judgement day? The questions have
been set, and its so simple: Are you Born-again? Have you being regenerated? Your
answer simply shows how much you have prepared and studiedthe AOC; if you can
pointedly assert that there was that day and moment you decided for CHRIST and
accepted him into your life as your saviour.

You alone would answer your question; and in this examination, you cannot write
for any body, or revealto someone the answer. The invigilator is strict!
Everyone's name has been clearly and boldly written on the answer script and the
question printed and shared to all candidates, including yourself. What would your
answer be; wrong or right? GOD marks, and once you are wrong, you are wrong. Your
answer would determine your score, and there is no plea after submission.

Are you a failure or a success? It's solely dependant on what you put down as your
answer.Remember, the AOC is CHRIST, and your answer would show how well you
perused through the AOC, and indeed, the added knowledge would expose how deep you
studied the syllabus. Your life, lifestyle, actions, thoughts and words are/ is
your added knowledge, while your YES or NO to ~are you born-again,~ is your
answer. Would you then be promoted and deemed fit to have passed GOD's
examination? It is an examinationin which gracefully, you can know if you are
wrong or right, with the content you have so far put down. THis long, have you
answered the question on your regeneration and CHRISTs supremacy negatively? Right
now, you can right that wrong before you submit and the results on judgement day
is out.

Beside you there is that eraser that would toitally expunge the wrong answer you
wrote down, albeit, ignorantly; which is the blood of JESUS. Knowing that you have
put down the wrong answer, are you ready to fail? Would you like not to be
promoted and inducted into the professional body of Christains and saints in/of
glory? And I mean, professionals!

Right now, we are in the hall, and while some have submitted and left the hall--
with some answering the question correctly-- you still have the opportunity to
change that wrong answer of yours before the time is up,or before you decide to
submit and breath is collected from you--in death. You cannot afford to know the
right answer, yet submit a wrong answered script; neither should your time be up
without you using the Blood of CHRIST to cleanse the wrong answer you've already
written down with your life.

At this moment, you can answer the question: have you decided for CHRIST
correctly. You can this hour give the correct answer to: Are you bor-again?
Seconds later, the examionation can be stopped, or rather, you'd be asked to
submit for whatever reason; but before you are asked to so do; are you prepared to
rightly answer the que4stion: Have you one day humbly told GOD that you are/were a
wretched sinner who needs his regeneration power vested in CHRIST, in your life?
Beside you is that blood, an eraser that wouldn't give room for the quondam wrong
answer to be visible; use it, i adjure you. It was placed just there for this
moment and for you to use it,and nothing else.

Before your script is collected, tell JESUS this minute: LORD JESUS, I have been a
bad student who knew that the only way to pass GOD's exam is through you, but
never prepared or decided to look your direction.Today, my ill preparation has
been exposed, and I can see that if I submit this way,I am faiilure bound. I
haven't answered GOD's question correctly, and I cannot afford to fail and go to
hell, when the verdict of the scores is released on judgement day.LORD JESUS; with
your ever effective blood-- the perfect eraser-- wash away all my wrong actions,
transgression, evil thoughhts and words/life of sin. I this day want to be an
excellent student. I this second want to be inducted into the professoinal body of
Christains, and in the offing, saints. Help me, give me the grace to keep perusing
through the unaldulterated syllabus-- the Bible; and never be found wanting till I
submit in death my life,or you come, iin JESUS name . Amen!

Now,its time to meticulously and thouroghly show your worth as a good student of
GOD's scheme of work, this by sharing with otherrs the AOC in your hand and
custody; and working them through it to know and accept the right answer before
result is released. Don't say you're inexperienced. Just now, your colleague is
waiting on you to know and copy the right answer; don't only give him this piece
with you, teach him to also share it with others. I tell you, you'll be proud that,
you not only passed excellently, but others were hugely successful because of you,
and consequently inducted into the body of professional Christains and saints in
glory. And with your help, all men would be saved.

PATENT RIGHT FOR THE WORK: DE-EARTHING THE EARTH FOR ELECTRICTY

BY: OLUWA ESHOMOMOH OLUWATOYIN

Charging by conduction effect implies that you charge a second body with the same
charge the first body carries, while the first or charging body completely loses
its charge to the second or charged body. Thus, the fourth wire from a power pole
that is buried in the ground or earthed loses its electrons and electricity due to
conduction effect, during earthing, in power transmission and distribution.

Consequently, using this effect in electricity generation by getting electrons

back from the earth, or using conduction effect to charge wires in order to enable
them get charged with the same charge as its charging source —the earth— is, four
wires are connected to the earth, which is up or above the wires, while the four
wires are declined from the top of the earth surface with the opposite angle which
the fourth earthing wire is inclined from the earth’s surface, when being earthed.
Thus, in effectively collecting electrons from the earth, these four wires would
possess an angle of declination from the earth surface, which they are directly
connected to; that is equal to the angle of declination the fourth and earthed
transmitting wire makes with the pole it was initially connected to, that also
bears and carries the remaining three current carrying wires.

Since it is placed in an ideal insulator; which prevents direct contact of the

transmitting wires and the earth, which is also held in the ground face down with
poles—just like they are extantly help up with poles, before one is earthed- the
wires are impeded from transmitting this electrons back to the earth, via contact.
And with the earthed wires angle well measured, using all the materials used in
earthing from up to down, four of these materials are used, at precisely same
angle, to collect the electrons from the ground, before being connected to the
original transmitting wires. In other words, to collect the electrons, the wires
are placed inversely as originally obtained, with the earthing material connected
to the earth from base to top, or down to up, instead of being earthed from up to
down; thus you de-earth.

It is easier for a body to roll from top to base, but not as easy to move from
base to top, as it would require enormous force to overcome the frictional force
in this direction. So also is it easier for electrons to flow from up to down in
conducting, and not from down to up. As such, using this means, knowing that the
earth is an infinite reservoir of electrons, thus containing an unestimateable
volume of electrons; the electrons can be collected in the inverse order in which
they are charged due to conduction, using the fourth earthed wire. So, the earth
can be de-earthed to collect and use its infinite electrons to keep generating
uninterrupted power worth Pico’s of Pico’s. But like one wire is earthed from
poles to the ground with an angle of declination, so also, one of the four wires
used in collecting these electrons, is earthed from base to top; since it is run
underground, due to how it collects the electrons, but with an angle of
inclination that is equal to ninety minus its original angle of declination, if it
was being earthed from a pole above the ground.
PATENT RIGHT FOR THE INVENTION, COOLANT PANEL

BY OLUWA ESHOMOMOH OLUWATOYIN

MEMBER, CONFERENCE OF INVENTORS AND YOUNG INDEPENDENT RESEARCHERS INSTITUTE,

NIGERIA, CIYIRI.

Electricity is caused when particles or electrons in metals or conductors are

given drift velocity in a particular direction, either through heating or cooling.
In electronics, we know that the resistivity of metals increase wit increase in
temperature, while conductivity is inversely proportional to temperature. As such,
with reduction in temperature of any metal, resistivity and its resistance co-
efficient of current flow reduces while conductivity increases.

Capitalizing on these is how the coolant panel was conceived. It works with a
process of reducing the temperature of an almost ideal conductor—silver—to
increase its conductivity and allowance of current of positive electrons, protons,
to flow through it, and then charges a Direct Current battery to move an
alternator and produce mechanical energy to power an engine and move a vehicle or
an aircraft.

This process is also one in which sees the manufacturing of a capacitor, to store
excess charges when the vehicle is not consuming electricity or moving. A coolant
panel is made up of two equal sized cones with installed capacitors, filled with a
refrigerant gas —carbon dioxide—under high pressure. These cones are insulated
form each other and have insulators wrapping them; which are further placed in a
vacuum, to avoid change in temperature.

With the gas in constant motion, as they cool the body of the cones and almost
freeze them—which is impeded by the insulators—the coils which are wounded round
the body of the cones have the coolness transferred to them; and since they are
wounded in particular directions, the particles or protons acquire drift velocity
in the clockwise direction for cone II, and the anticlockwise for cone I. they –
protons- then move to the tip of the other cone where excess charges are stored
and collected into the installed capacitor. The wounded coils around the cones at
each tip are connected to the other cones wire, to charge themselves like a
capacitor that requires external D.C sources to charge it.

Also, the opposite direction of proton flow ad moving coils, is to create opposite
but equal charges required by a capacitor, which must have two metals with equal
and opposite charges and magnitudes of charge, and separated by and insulator.

Thus, once the battery connected to the capacitor is fully charged and not
delivering current to any external source, its excess charge is stored in the two
installed capacitors of the two cones.

Implying that, depending on the size of the cones and their installed capacitance,
a jet with three engines—one main one and two smaller ones-- can use this coolant
panel with its two small engines power by the installed capacitors, and the main
one powered by the coolant panel cum battery charger and bigger capacitor.

In general, aside these enumerated uses, coolant panel can be introduced directly
without battery into any appliance that requires external but direct source of
alternating current power; like water purifier, electric cookers, even
televisions, et al.

their airplane, they were laughed at. Those that had scoffed at them then now
cheered the loudest.”
PENDULUM POWER: HOW IT WORKS

Pendulum is a simple mechanism that involves a tripod stand, a circular ball/

bulb/ boris, and a wire or thread, holding and connecting the metal boris to the
centre of the stand.

In its working process, a displacement or amplitude is given/ applied to the metal

boris, so that the hanging boris begins to swing along an oscillating path towards
the centre, until it comes to rest, due to external air resistance.

But in defiance to the modus operandi of the PENDULUM POWER, an external force is
required to displace the boris, in other for the pendulum to oscillate.
ordinarily, the oscillating pendulum is a simple experimental method of showing
what oscillatory motion is all about; verifying the term cycle; and period; and
proving that acceleration due to gravity is about 9.788 – 10.00 meters per second
square, by plotting a graph of the length of the pendulums connector wire against
the square of the period (S), on the abscissa and co-ordinate axes respectively.

In the case of the pendulum power¸all we are doing is just like attaching another
material to the metal bulb of a simple pendulum. This done, once the displacement
is given, both the metal boris and the attached material would swing ; and when
the pendulum was to stop with its given displacement – if it were to be
independent of the second body—would be exceeded, because its frequency is now
being decided by the second body.

Lets now talk science, and I doubt if you’ll need the presence or tutelage of your
mechanical engineers to assimilate this. Mull a metal ball placed on an inclined
plane; you’ll observe that as you are expunging the hand used in placing it on the
inclined plane, the ball is rolling down. Implying this into a simple pendulum; a
semi-circular rail with an inclination of 20 degrees (20’) each to the left and
right, forms an arc. Naturally, once the locks are up and the metal boris in the
enclosed rail is released from the height/ position of lock I, like a ball on an
inclined plane, it immediately rolls down with enough acceleration to make it work
like a displaced. Well, in this case, the boris is very smooth and circular, and
moving on an inclined oil ed rail, with little or no frictional force. After
competing several cycles, due to the existence of true centre or centre of gravity
along the pendulum path, the boris is wont to eventually come to rest, on this
point where its potential and kinetic energy (K.E & P.E, respectively), are
maximum.

Well, since boris I is connected to boris II, which literarily now determines the
period along the pendulum path of boris I, a design was incorporated along boris
II circular path in order to eliminate every tendency of boris I to stop at its
rue centre, for us to use its effect to generate constant mechanical energy for
the generation of electricity. From the design, 2.5cm before this point on rail
II, where boris I when get to its true centre or point of maximum P.E and K.E
along the pendulum path, a declination of 40’ on rail II surface is incorporated.
Therefore, once boris II gets to this point of decline, it acquires more velocity,
thus increasing its acceleration, in order not to recognize the true centre of the
pendulum path on rail I, anymore.

After a number of cycles, the acceleration of boris II (which is twice that of

boris I, since it completes one cycle when boris I does one) drastically
increases, which is also aided by the declination along rail I, which is
subsequently inclined back to normal with an initial 20’ about 7cm ahead; another
10’ about 4.0cm ahead and a last 10’, barely 3.0cm from when the bulb on rail II,
gets to its point of begin. This point is also i.5cm before boris I on the
pendulum path completes half a cycle. And since the pendulum path is screwed to
the roof of the generator in such a way that its true centre is directly facing
the centre of rail II diameter, with a declination of 40’ on the anticlockwise
path/ direction of rail II, the (anti) clockwise movements along the pendulum path
just keeps boris II moving in only this anti-clockwise direction. Also, the
pendulum power is designed in such a way that the boris II starts its rotation,
2.5cm to the left of its true centre; which is inclined to 10’, aiding and
maintaining this anti-clockwise direction.
Consequently, since boris I and II are secured or joined using a thick elastic
connector wire –like the thread of a simple pendulum, whose movement is from the
centre and directed to its centre—boris II is also joined to a rotor –connected to
the alternator-- with another connector wire, about o.2cm wider/ thicker than the
connector wire of boris I and II, in order to properly handle an spin the rotor
with enough force cum acceleration from that it acquires from boris I. as this
boris II rotates, since it is connected to one of the blades of the rotor directly
under it, the rotor and boris II¸ end up moving with same velocity and
acceleration; so that when boris II finally attains a constant velocity and
acceleration equals zero, the rotor has also reached same velocity, in which
enables the alternator to generate a constant electric field cum electricity, at
which point we would tag the maximum electric energy output capacity of the
generator.

So, if an alternator requires a maximum acceleration of about 80 meters per second

square to attain constant and maximum electric current generation, the length of
the pendulum path cum rail I is reduced, while the diameter or length of rail II
and the connector wire are increased commensurately; or, the length and diameter
of the connector wire and rail II are decreased, while that of rail I or pendulum
path is increased; since boris II is twice as fast as boris I.

To maintain this facility which rather requires minimal technicality and

expertise, only the rails are required to be oiled, while its components from up
to down are built with increasingly strong (er) materials. To switch off this
pendulum power, the two lock chains are released an fastened to their hangars,
making the locks –made of thick rubber, to shirk noise pollution—slope down to
hold the boris I at the true centre of the pendulum path; just like the simple
pendulum would stop directly at its centre of gravity, and cannot stop when
inclined.

As a matter of observation, a customer of this product is provided with

uninterrupted power supply, since the generator is not switched off to add fuel or
gas, or even radiator water; as only the back of the generator would be designed
to have a kind of louvered opening to allow external air eliminate the midget heat
energy generated. Infact, the oiling for friction elimination –which is essential
for this noiseless facility to operate most efficiently—can be done once a month,
or heavily, once in two months. Meaning that for one full month –-even in your
absence, since it requires no regular monitoring—there is constant electricity
supply, without paying extra-ordinary PHCN bills or having to store a tanker full
of diesel in a reservoir tank.

You also have minimal noise compared to its soundproof conventional counterpart,
since waste gas is under pressure, emitted. Infact, air pollution and harmful gas
(es) emission –which causes global warming and climate change—is adequately tamed
with this design and mechanism; and I’d like to think that this is what the world
has been waiting for, as a remedial to reducing drastically, the rate of emission
of pollutant gases.

But if you think this is all from the CONFERENCE OF INVENTORS AND YOUNG
INDEPENDENT RESEARCHERS INSTITUTE, NIGERIA –CIYIRI, then wait for our coolant
panel which uses coolant or refrigerant gases to generate electricity for vehicles
and aircrafts, leaving no waste gas. Infact, it can run for a year without even
thinking of fuel or topping your gas level.

This research work is a conclusion of Oluwa Eshomomoh Oluwatoyin, of CIYIRI, and

is subject to being patented.
PATENT ON BI-LATERAL CRUDE-OIL FORMATION
{BILCOF} PROCESS

BY: Oluwa Oluwatoyin Eshomomoh

Crude-oil is a product of the decomposition of fossil plants and animals under

intense pressure and heat. With the understanding of its natural formation process
which petrology supports, the BILCOF process was established.

In this process, a pressurized mixer that makes 70 cycles in 60 seconds is used to

generate about 1.5atm- 2.5atm, and 1250’c, for about 10 hours .

The reagents include turkey guts and offal’s, chicken, Pisces; grasses, {muddy}
water, sea algae, protists; and soil, san or silicate sample of the composition of
those found in regions of crude-oil deposition {to determine its eventual grade
and quality}; all in measured volume.

The turkey guts and offal’s, Pisces and chicken parts are placed in a percentage
volume of about 33% or 33 cubic meters of a total minimum containing capacity of
100 cubic meters; grasses are in 25%; water of about 22cubic meters, sea algae of
2% and sand of about 18 cubic meters. Based on the production process of BILCOF,
the reagents are arranged in the BILCOF pressure mixer in the order of their
physical properties –like density and melting point—to allow for easy even melting
cum decomposition and even saturation, after de-polymerization.

Hence, the soil sample would be at the base of the mixer, with the grasses next
after them; then the turkey, chicken guts and offal’s, and Pisces on top of the
grasses after which you’ll have the sea algae on top. 50% of the 22 cubic meters
of muddy water would be put at the lowest portion before the soil sample, while
the remaining 1cubic meters is placed on the top of the whole content in the
mixer. This is the BILCOF process using a special pressure mixer to generate the
atmospheric pressure and high Celsius temperature, and a revolution of 70 cycles
per minute.

The initial process in this direction experimented quondamly produced a wet and
low concentrated product that equaled a lower volume of crude oil’s concentration;
but they did not involve the us of sand, which is essential in the natural
formation process.

1.0. INTRODUCTION

With unfeigned appreciation, I, OLUWA ESHOMOMOH OLUWATOYIN, extends m warm and

genial greetings and regards to the Local Organizing Committee {L.O.C}, of the
2008 NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF PHYSICSTS {N.I.P} conference in the Federal University
of Technology, Owerri. And as a mark of courtesy and respect, my congratulations
for the successful preparation of the N.I.P conference to my/the dean, faculty of
Natural sciences, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo and president of the N.I.P,
Professor Akande. On behalf of the Conference of Inventors and Young Independent
Researchers Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI}, I wish you all a fruitful, phenomenal,
rewarding and very eventful 2008 conference in CHRIST’s name; Amen.

In view of the expected impinge and outcome of this conference which would be
largely dependent on resource papers and lectures given by physicists, I would
essentially like to dwell on the term on the energy sector, as an anticipative
orator at the FUTO conference; with my paper title as: INCREASING POWER OUTPUT:
THE EFFECT OF WATER RECYCLEMENT.

No doubt, the energy sector has a lot of impediments to its optimization, while
also being a determining factor to the existence of industries, economies ad
infrastructural development of the/a country; and above all, the market value of
produced goods and commodities. Well, the extant situation of this sector; even
though Nigeria, which we all gathered here represent, is a foremost exporter of a
globally required energy commodity –crude-oil—which can be used for gas turbines;
indicates that there needs to be a rehauling and immediate intervention by
stakeholders alike, especially physicists, as it should be a situation that would
enable us proudly flaunt our status and prowess as physicists and researchers cum
problem solvers. You’ll pardon my indulgence but, I would like as the situation
permits, to ask if the extant source of electricity around you is from the
national grid or from secondary sources like generators, or even in absentia? I.e.
no light. And if from the national grid, how many hours today have you used this
power source?

The effect of this means that: total energy output generated and connected to the
national grid doesn’t meet the extant demand, and so it is rationalized, while
leaving some areas in outright darkness. The use of gas turbines, solar panels,
wind mills/ vanes, biomass, nuclear fission and even hydro electric power sources,
are thus evidences that physicists are always an exigency; as these sources all
convert one form of energy or the other to electrical energy, a jurisdiction of
physicists.

But the extant situation of Nigeria which is more concentrated on gas turbines and
hydro-electric power dams for large electricity generation, seems to require more
of an imperative solution – for the economy and national development to meet the
2020 target of the Federal government—as much as an offing and perennial remedial
out of this electricity oubliette. Outrightly, it shows that whatever millennium
development goals (MDG’s) and national Federal economic empowerment development
(FEED) target to enable our nation become a global renown one and economy, is
threatened by the already outwitted energy sectors ineptitude.

Thus, in rendering a solution which encompasses this time frame, let us mull the
prospects of the HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER(H.E.P) source, which utilizes the kinetic
energy of falling water through a penstock in the edam which is converted to
mechanical energy and finally, electrical energy; and explore its every
possibility to optimize its effect. Infact, very recently, a statement credited to
the Energy minister captured the true situation of our H.E.P dams, when Mrs.
Ibrahim Fatima said that “a combined shortage of water at the hydro stations and
gas supply has forced a reduction in power generation to about 2700 Mega watts,
from a combined power output of above 3,000MW.” She further said that “at the
shiroro dam, you can see the floor of the dam because, the water is not there,
with water management, you have to shut off the machines down to enable you get
enough water.” Indicating a problem of water management and insufficiency as the
major obstacle to optimal power output; hence the theme of this my paper.

While this specifically highlighted the situation of the shiroro dam which
generates about a third of Nigeria’s H.E.P source and generation output, nothing
less can be said about other hydro stations; in which barely a year plus, water
erosion due to the release of water from the spill-gates was unleashed on the host
communities as a result of draught and excess reservoir water. This shows that if
there is an effective system of water management and fomular at the dams, it would
be easy to maintain optimum water and power level cum output during drought and
draught to effectively maintain the dams use. Hence my suggestion; a typical
solution with immediate and perennial impinge, for a typical country’s exigency.

Initially, one of Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers

Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI} member opined the introduction and designing of
artificial dams, which would have meant huge and capital expertise for
construction and maintenance, in a period where excess billion dollars have been
wasted with no result on this sector; it was thus outwitted in order to optimize
available scarce resources to give a congruous and more realistic cum viable
aquiescible and easily applicable remedial to the teething national energy
opprobrium. Thus our conclusion and recommendation for immediate effect, aside
also mobile artificial dam construction, if can be applicable at the moment, is
heretofore discussed. We also want to believe that the government is serious about
solving this problem by taking congruous steps on the water management of hydro
stations by recycling it, as would be discussed in this paper, and storage tank
reservoir, as the situation and fund can permit. Also, the collection of methane
gas over every Nigerian dam and use to power gas turbines which is also witnessing
gas shortage should be taken seriously.

2.0. HISTORY, HIGHLIGTS AND FUNCTIONS OF HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWRE DAMS

The construction of Nigeria’s H.E.P dams can be seen to have dated back to 1966,
when the first dam, kanji dam was started, and the completion of the shiroro dam
by the Ibrahim Babangida administration before 1993. No doubt, age, poor
maintenance cum low water volume and alkaline aggregate reaction has led to the
reduced efficiency of the dams and its power output generation; but nonetheless,
they have served us well. Generally, Nigeria has three famous hydro dams, with the
oldest, kanji; shiroro and jebba dams all from the Niger State, a Northern state
of the federation. The H.E.P dams which consists of a reservoir water at the head
of the dam, a window for water intake trough a penstock, the turbine generator,
shaft, wicket plates, rotor, stator, power house, power lines, spill gates and
outflow river, is no little generator of electricity, as it generates mega watts
of power.
Yes, most of our power sources were ten generated by these dams which at that
period produced optimum power for their installed capacities, with midget but
devastating cases of flood. The H.E.P is generated by harnessing the force of
moving and falling water through a height, to convert this kinetic energy cum
mechanical energy into electricity after turning the rotor connected to the
generator’s alternator. These generating stations are very big and depend o the
volume of water capacity that can get in through the window intake past the
penstock, to create the required force to turn the hydraulic turbines; and hence,
the force determines the quantity of power output, which is determined by the
water.

Most often, dams are built on large rivers –with regards to the direction of its
flow—that has a great steep or high decline in geographic elevation. At the head
of the dam, the river flowing from behind is trapped in the reservoir, so that it
possesses enough pressure and potential energy to forcefully but steadily at high
Reynolds number, flow through the window intake close to the base of the dam wall.
The effect of gravity makes the water to fall through the penstock inside the dam.
At the end of the penstock, there is the turbine propeller which is turned by the
kinetic energy of the water. Then, the shaft of the turbine goes up into the
generator to generate the electric field that produces the electricity which is
transmitted via power lines to step-up transformers and then to step-downs. As the
water generates the mechanical cum kinetic energy to move the shaft, it ends its
work and goes through the tail-race into the outflow river, past the dam. Well,
since the velocity and momentum of the water determines the voltage of the output
current and power that is eventually transmitted via the power-lines as
electricity, the mass, hence weight cum force of the water and reservoir volume,
has much to do in determining the output power.

Being that a hydraulic generator further converts the kinetic energy of the
flowing falling water into mechanical energy; the hydro electric generator thus
also converts it into electricity by turning the rotor, which allows the
electromagnet of the alternator move past a conductor inside the electrical
generator, at a fixed speed.

Aside being use to generate mega watts of voltage, dams are also used for
irrigation purposes for farmers, and so much as serve as tourist centers

Following Nigeria’s increasing power and energy consumption, 250MW as added to the
kanji dan in 1978, another 240MW in the 1980’s was also added. Also, 1200MW was
installed at sapele, an over 200MW added at the jebba downstream --from the kanji
reservoir-- and shiroro dam along the kaduna river , for increased energy output
through the then Nigerian electric power Authority, for Nigerian’s.

Incidentally, no sooner did draught hit most of the dams, causing reduced
electricity output. Also, ineptitude and poor maintenance led to the formation
aggregate alkaline reaction (AAR) and weaking of the dam walls and parts and low
power output. Chemical attacks, corrosion of re-inforcements, surface erosion,
freeze and thaw effects started surfacing, and the dams began to lose efficiency.
Infact, tailrace walls and piers also began to deteriorate, so that fluctuative
power supply became inevitable and spill-gates opening started with resultant
flooding; consequently requiring immediate and effective remedial from all and
sundry, with the biggest burden on the physicists who also sum-up part o energy
users, as well as having the sole privilege of being part of a body whose member
invented electricity and the whole concept of hydro dam.

3.0. NIGERIA’S ENENRGY PROBLEM: LOW DAM RESERVOIR VOLUME AND HIGH CPST OF TURBINE
MAINTENANCE
Our country, being the most populous nation in the black race, has no doubt a lot
of expectations from her, either from the international community or the African
unity, as we are also a huge reservoir nation of oil and gas. Essentially, we have
lived below expectation, inspite of our human and material resources, and
continental stature.

The introduction and optimization of the gas turbines industry to generate

electricity for our local consumption, and even continental neighbors, is seen as
a viable sojourn because of our huge gas reservoir and continuous gas flaring by
oil multinationals. Infact, if we were to use only gas turbines for electricity
generation for our national consumption and source, it would be largely possible,
even without the use of H.E.P.

Probes upon probes have either been initiated or concluded o the colossal pelf
expended on power and gas, which aside being prejudice to comment on, is not my
issue to mull. But be that as it may, constructing of gas turbines seem quite
expensive, as its maintenance, even as Nigeria refines and imports most of her
quotidianly required oil products from our-crude oil importing nations. This bane
has in no small measure contributed to the extant energy crisis in our country,
leading to the extant national concurrent black-out. And as the energy minister
once commented, “gas supply to the thermal station in Egbin has declined so much
tat the best maintenance practice for the turbine plants, is to shut down”

Currently, draught has hi the nations dam reservoir, as gas supply has declined to
thermal plants so much so that they can only supply a little of their quota to the
national grid. So bad it is tat one can literarily see the ground of the over 30
cubic feet high water reservoir. Now we ask and say why is there poor electricity
distribution and supply? Thinking that the (dis)honorable Power Holding Company of
Nigeria (PHCN) officials just decided to punish their fellow citizens and country
people; forgetting that our major sources of power to the national grid which
supplies our homes and offices are near collapse and needs ideas to turn them
around for efficiency. And since the nuclear industry/ option is yet un-tapped,
secondary sources such as generators, solar panels cum modules, inverters and
wind-mills are the only alternatives, all of which don’t have huge mega-watt
capacity to supply the national grid and directly increase power output.

We live in 12 hours darkness on quotidian, as there are no ready alternative to

our plight, and we haven’t yet found realistic and short term perennial solutions
to this challenges, such as how to increase water supply to the dams reservoir and
maintain it; how to increase gas supply to thermal plants; how to maintain dam
walls and reduce tail race erosion, thaw, gel formation cum AAR; how to avert host
community floodings, and still help them maintain their farming occupation through
irrigation and regular water supply, how to help their fishing profession; how to
prevent green house gas methane from contributing its fifteen percent (104
million) quota generated globally by dams to global warming; and how to tap from
other energy sources that would give our energy sector a face-lifting, in a matter
of few months and short years?

And, like education is to a nation, so is energy to its development; as the level

of industrialization and development of any nation depends solely on the energy
sector and regularity of its supply. A closer scrutiny n the energy sector of all
developed nations indicates that they have un-interrupted power supply, while most
developing and all under-developed nations are groping in darkness.

4.0. ENERGY CRISIS: AN IMPEDIMENT TO THE REALIZATION OF VISION 2020

Whoever formulated and started humming the tune of 2020 – best 20 economy in the
world—might have thought and meant well for Nigeria (ns), even if not in policy,
but by helping us as a nation see a target, set a goal and get more focused,
realistic and aware of our parlous state of development; but truly the onus falls
on us and what we are capable of getting done within this period. As could be
lauded as a good thought, we cannot isolate the issue of energy from this goals’
realization. infact, we can never get near first seventy, if we are having only a
total of 24 hours black out in one week.

Being a nation in the league of the best 20 by the year 2020 means closing ranks
with countries like Turkey, Belgium, France, Japan, China, England, Canada, U.S.A,
Italy, Poland, Russia, Argentina, Germany, Holland, Brazil, Romania, Austria,
Sweden, Spain, Portugal and a host of other very developed and stable nations and
economy’s. Even though as an economy it would be a great feat, with less than 12
years on our target and after spending 47 years without commensurate development
and improvement; what are we to do about it, and if we are to continue at our
extant pace, are we not a fallacious nation? How is our politics being played; hw
are contracts being awarded, supervised and executed; what infrastructural
development are we witnessing, and the most important of it, how are our
industries faring? What have we stared exporting with truly local content; can our
exports compete within international standards; how are our roads; what innovation
and invention are we as a nation working on; as researchers, what has been the
effect of our works nationally and internationally. These questions are endless,
and bother on policies, education, research and even electricity.

As much as we cannot hide from these issues if we are to be within top ten in
Africa, we cannot also reason against the possibilities which the energy sector
would effect as one of the biggest impinger, due to its multiplying effects.
Implying that our source of national electricity generation should increase, and
the extant ones should be expanded and deepened, governments reckless and feigned
spending habits on this sector should be discouraged, and more pragmatic and
effectively realistic spending formulas implemented; while research should be
encouraged for this sector, and sponsored.

It might interest you to know, as being a physics student, that: am beginning a

research on tapping from the infinite reservoir’s infinite electrons, to use in
energy generation—the research is called de-earthing the earth crust; aside using
the earth as a common ground for the fourth wire, when generation and distribution
electricity. Because, if we can send electrons into the earth, then we-CIYIRI—
think that we can collect it from the earth; and being an infinite reservoir, once
we hit a breakthrough, we would use it to generate PICO WATTS of electricity;
although it requires huge financing, as we have started marshalling how to
undertake this research work.

Thus, in other to move beyond being a mediocre nation, who aims to be the best but
doesn’t behave as such, we require definite realistic and goal oriented actions;
of which should include how to retrieve the large quantity of methane gas,
released by dams.
5.0. METHANE GAS EMMISION FROM DAMS: COLLECTION AND UTILIZATION FOR GAS TURBINES

Dams, being a process that involves continuous running of water over geography or
place where Pisces, marine organisms and fauna’s were/ are generally found,
contribute largely to global warming by emitting green house gas methane, into the
atmosphere. And as a matter of fact, it can be collected and used in gas turbines.

Infact, it can be observed that about 52,000 dams are currently inexistence,
globally, with each generating an average of 2,000MT of methane to global warming
annually, via reservoir surfaces, turbines and spill gates, as was recently
discovered. In other to reduce global warming, which dams contribute a quarter of
the total collection the world generates, recovering methane from this source is a
good omen; which is easier to be done, compared to recovering natural gas from the
depth of the ocean bed. Methane with molecular mass of 16 is over twenty times
more destructive to the ozone than carbon dioxide, with molecular mass of 44; with
a relatively short but devastating atmospheric lifespan of 12 years. Thus, aside
proposing to use pendulum power for industrial and domestic electricity
generation, de-earthing the earth crust, water dam re-cycling would be an
effective way to curtail the emission of green-house gases including carbon-
monoxide. If we can thus collect this over 8,000 MT of methane from our dams in
Nigeria annually to power our gas turbines, the building of dams would be
encouraged to be stopped, due to their environmental impacts.

Dams emit methane into the ozone when trees, plants, Pisces and other marine
organisms die and settle at the bottom of the geography around the dams when the
reservoir was initially flooded, and concurrently. This then causes these
materials to decompose in the absence of oxygen—the atmospheric air—and then are
dissolved to generate a methane reservoir and build up around these dams. Once
water passes through the dam turbines, the methane is released into the
atmosphere. It means tat the shiroro, mokwa, borgu, kagara, auna, waya and jada
dams are amongst the highest methane global warming gas contributors in Nigeria,
followed by the gas flaring in the Niger delta

As such, collecting the methane gas would include building a transparent shield or
cover spanning about 50- 120 meters on either side of the turbine (which gases
cannot penetrate but very transparent, to maintain its tourist feature of view),
with ducts and pips at the most central parts, used in collecting this gases and
further sending them directly for filtering and refining, to collect clean methane
gas to be transported to gas turbine sites. We are presently working on its actual
design for effective collection; so, once Nigeria is ready, we are ready for them.
Believing that gas turbine sites have been built, it would be most congruous to
immediately commence this methane collection, and use them at the Egbin, Omotosho
and Afam gas turbines, in order to boost our power generation.

Also, the option of recirculation of hydro dam water can be mulled, which is also
a solution to the restricted wind direction capture of the open field wind vane,
whereby wind dam legs are constructed and extended to bifurcated locations,
positioned centrally to function as hydro generators with water supply from dam
reservoir and areas, for electricity generation. This is an energy storing wind
dam, having the ability to re-circulate water at existing hydro stations to boost
electricity supply at peak times of wind, and store the potential during off peak
times. In comparison with the wind vane or free field turbine, the size of a small
energy storing wind dam turbine is almost the same as that of the free field, but
the area of turbine which the wind capitalizes on is different. This wind dam is a
fixed stationary object with restricted angle of wind that can be captured. It has
a useful wind angle of about 40 degrees off the centre and a bi- directional
turbine that consequently allows 160 degrees of useful wind. A single wind dam
turbine is approximately 4meters in diameters, but would require many stacked
together modules of wind turbines to gain the desired water pumping capacity,
within the same area. Each turbine module is placed inside a duct or tube to
provide a separation between turbines, to minimize interference. The duct opening
is hexagonally shaped for optimal stacking and reduces to a centrally circular
shape, to accommodate the turbine. Infact, it uses stored wind to pump water for
electricity generation, through a hydro generator. A water pump is first connected
to a wind turbine using a common shaft, so that once wind blows, the wind turbine
drives the water pump to pump enough water with the stacked modules, and then the
water is channeled into a hydro generator to create electric field cum
electricity.
6.0. PROSPECTS OF WATER RECYCLYEMENT AS AN IMPERATIVE REMEDIAL

The primary aim of this paper is to propose an imperative remedial to Nigeria’s

energy problems, as Nigeria’s extant situation demands. Implementing an immediate,
reliable and perennial solution, water recycling comes as one of the best within
my knowledge, and provides a less than ten (10) months detailed implementive plan
and solution, with co-genial environmental effects that are easily maintained, and
are cost efficient.

Looking at our dam situations and problems, it is poignant that the immediate
challenges facing them are to maintain optimum electricity output during drought
and meticulously shirking flood during draught periods to prevent its harsh
defects on the host communities. During drought, the reservoir level is hugely
reduced resulting in the shut down of the plants; while draught makes its level
rise unprecedentedly so that spill-gates are used, which eventually could cause
farm erosion and flooding, aside the epidemic it could create. Tackling the main
problem, energy, Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers
Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI}/ I was made to understand that the host’s must be well
treated from the beginning of the implementation of our recommendation’ and their
source of livelihood, adequately maintained and sustained. Infact, the Community
Action for Popular Participation—CAPP, did most of the policy formulation for the
host communities during their neglect by the government, when the dams were
initially created; resulting in the extant peace and resettlement obtained in the
area.

Then, the people almost became restive, when they had no light, even though the
nation got their energy supply from their area; they had deplorable roads; no
schools; they lost acres of farmlands due to flooding once spill gates were
opened; fishing, one of their major occupation, went with the dam and they could
barely get decent water for domestic consumption. Why? The government was too
interested in energy generation without involving and thereby forgetting the host
communities, and other environmental hazards.

Consequently, after perusing CAPP’s brief and initial report cum documentation of
the issues, I/ Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers
Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI, came up with a design and action plan that would take
care of our energy problems and put us on the 2020 path, and adequately cater for
the host community and bearing in mind their extant plight, without necessarily
and directly involving them.

First is the re-cyclement of fifty percent of the dams water collected at the base
of the shaft ad turbine via the penstock, whose water is still under pressure and
flowing steadily with a laminar tide; using a pipe. Once 50 percent of the opening
at the penstock base is fitted with a pipe to retrieve the outflow river’s flowing
water, it is collected and directly taken up over the dam head into the reservoir.
But before the water gets to be deposited in the dam’s reservoir, a pipe 25-30
percent wide as this collecting pipe is added to the pipe, where the pressure is
quite high on the collecting pipe, to collect 25-30 percent of this water. This
water in the second pipe is then run through and directly taken to a purifying
reservoir tank of about 5000 cubic meters or less. The tank would then pass water
to smaller tanks in the local communities through pipes for domestic consumption
and also be used for irrigation purposes. During drought, water would be re-
channeled from the reservoir tank into the dam’s reservoir through the second
pipe, or another one connected directly to the dam’s reservoir, while the water
being recycled from the penstock would go directly into the dam’s reservoir.

During the period of draught, most or all the recycled water would now go into the
reservoir tank, while the pipe taking water back to the reservoir is about 70
percent closed, depending on the level of the dam’s reservoir volume. This would
help optimize the potential energy of the water for optimum energy output.

Also, parallel to the dam’s water intake and penstock, would be a water
penetrative sieve to impede Pisces flow through the dam into the turbines, while
not obstructing the flow of water. This sieve would be directed through another
redesigned hole above the now always shut spill-gates, and made to flow from this
hole directly into the outflow river, which collects only 50 percent of the water
from the penstock, the hole being about 3-5 meters in diameter. From here, the
Pisces can flow into the river and the community can once again commence their
fishing practice which was discontinued due to the restriction of movement around
the dams, and feed the nation with numerous species of edible Pisces. Infact,
kinetrics Inc. of 880 kipling Avenue Toronto, would be willing to assist Nigeria
in this rehabilitative renovation on all her H.E.P, and is sure to meet time
targets. Also, as earlier said, methane can be collected over the dams and used in
gas turbines.

No doubt, whatever actions to be taken in this regards requires government

approval and funding, which of course would not cost close to $7 billion, with
optimum electricity guaranteed to be generated from gas and dam turbines, so much
so that we can further mull wind dam cum water recirculation.

7.0. UNFEIGNED GOVERNMENT FUNDING, KEY TO RESOLVING ENERGY CRISIS

The extant haram administration has been trying to recover pilfered funds,
siphoned in the name of energy generation by the past administration; but while
doing this through the right channels –the National Assembly—it has shown the will
power to expend what might be necessary to move Nigeria’s energy sector and
indeed, economy forward. This no doubt is a welcomed development. But then, the
area of funding is a critical issue, which should involve independent and private
researchers, universities, scientists, physicists and the NIP as a body, for
effective investment to be done in this sector. The issues raised so far for the
revamping of the energy sector requires some pelf to actualize and effect; meaning
that the extant administration should be preparing to set aside some huge pelf, to
get things working. Inspite of this, tapping into the bifurcation of the energy
sector can only be done if researchers and scientists are well empowered and
funded.

Infact, the research work by Conference of Inventors and Young Independent

Researchers Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI} is about to go into, tagged de-earthing to
generate electricity, no doubt requires finance. Explicitly, some others are
researching on a couple of works, which if properly funded, would provide
realistic solutions to many of our national, and indeed, global problems and
challenges. Thus, as a matter of reason, the imperativeness for a perennial remedy
calls for real and imperative funding. Funding that can effect required changes,
channeled from the right source into the right direction.

Many issues have being raised, and we cannot shoot an estimate, but where
researchers are broke, how do they equip their laboratories, or own research,
laboratory to produce realistic solutions. If it continues like this, there would
be so much pelf but so little to use it on; and development of the economy of any
country requires innovations and numerous goods and services from indigenous
industries, which require energy for operation and survival. As such, either a
state of emergency on the power sector is declared, and an intervention fund
inaugurated for the implementation of the NIP papers and recommendations with
particular reference to the energy term, due to its peculiarity at the moment; or
a separate energy budget bill is taken to the National Assembly for expedite
passage into/ as law, so that the rule of law can be precisely followed in words
and in deeds in providing pelf to tackle this problem. The biography of JESUS
CHRIST can be quoted to have recorded that “money answereth all things;” even as
it “is the root of all evil.” As such, it’s my expectation that the government
would be meticulous in taking every action as it concerns funding for this
purpose.

Also, it is my anticipation that the present administration would commence

immediate moves to invite dam experts for field assessment and further examination
of dam sites, in order to save the future, and quadruple Nigeria’s energy output
before 2014, 6 years from date and 6 years before the modest 2020 year. With
utmost modesty, I think I can be quoted that Conference of Inventors and Young
Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI}, which I represent is ready to
begin and get committed with these research works on preliminary feasibility
studies, in preparation for this technology transfer to boost our energy output,
slap-dashy. This implies the government’s readiness to finance these
recommendations and see it to fruition.

In order to resolve our energy problems and allow for optimum energy out put of
existing sources, it is now obvious that truly, the sector requires huge financial
investment, and Nigerian research must be empowered to move to the next level, in
order to be useful to Nigerians and the world.

8.0. FUNDING RESEARCH FOR PHYSICSTIS FOR OTHER ENERGY SOURCES

No doubt, the invention of electrical generator cannot be isolated from

physicists, with Sir Faraday doing most of its basic work. Going down memory lane,
it is recorded that electricity was discovered long ago by Thales Anletus, due to
conduction effect, which was further developed by Gilbert William in 1660. It was
later developed by physicists like Francis Hauskbee, Van De Graaf, Robert Boyle,
Stephen Gray, Du fay, Benjamin Franklin and many more. It continued evolving, with
William Watson’s Leyden jar and Charles A coulombs discovery of current, and its
mathematical expression of quantitative electricity. Alessandro Volta went on to
built a voltaic pile battery to further boost the knowledge and discovery of
modern electricity, while G.S Ohms took it further by founding the relationship
between resistance, current and voltage. J.P Joules later on came up with his
theory of heating due to electricity, with G.R Kirchoff’s proposal of circuit’s
current and voltage. Hans Christian then went on to discover that magnetic field
surrounds a current carrying wire in 1819; with Andre’ Marie Ampere establishing
the electro magnetic laws and mathematically representing them, though only after
D.F Arago invented the electro-magnet. Michael Faraday later developed the
electric motor, with Joseph Henry constructing an application for it.

James Clerk Maxwell in 1873 took things a step further by hypothesizing that
electromagnetic waves existed ad traveled at the speed of light; which was later
experimentally verified by Heinrich Hertz, with Marconi producing the first radio
in 1895. As a physics electronics undergraduate, it would naturally be my interest
to learn and know more about diodes, rectifiers, vacuum and electronics, and also
be briefed about details of their founding fathers and minds; which are no less
persons than John Ambrose Fleming and Lee De Forest.

Contempor4arily, J.J Thomson, Ernest Rutherford and Robert Millikan have one way
or the other helped improve the knowledge and application of electricity,
electrons, protons, atoms and their numerous uses, by their works; but insisting
further, they were all physicists who made useful and realistic researches, whose
impacts are very audible today, because they had the necessary equipments
opportunity and interest, to work with the available and required materials for
these works and discoveries.

This goes a long way to exhibit the huge importance of equipped laboratories by
physicists; as if we must succeed and add imprints to the sand of global knowledge
of our world to end up positively, constructively and innovatively directing our
world, and speaking volubly into our future, the time to soil our hands is now.
Thus, in order for positive impinges to be felt in the world by contemporary
Nigerian Physicists, the N.I.P should be willing to request from governments,
increased capital funding of her research works and those individual members, and
even students which includes Conference of Inventors and Young Independent
Researchers Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI} members. Interestingly, most of the works
researchers are involving in today require high-tech equipments and huge pelf;
just like then when their works were expensive to produce and ended up near
novelties at the time, but are now cheap to manufacture, even with different modes
of applying their now anachronistic but fundamental works. Ours also which
presently require such commensurate pelf would some day become a commercial
entity, but then, the comfort going to be derived heretofore by the world would
explicitly be unprecedented.

Therefore, if we must put Nigeria in the global science spotlight due to our
research efforts and works in order for our country to grow and develop; we must
be able to think globally and act Nigerian with our major focus on solving the
challenges of our world and thinking into the future to solve unseen future
problems. Also, if we can put our humble best, soonest, technology transfer to
other parts of the world would come from Nigeria, and earn us good foreign
exchange.

No doubt, research is expensive, more so when we would have to equip our

laboratories from other countries development and technological advancement; but
like education, the amount invested cannot equal its eventual output and results
cum gains, once the right minds, hands, and persons are equipped. Globally,
physicists receive the highest research grants because their works span through
different fields, and their recommendations have huge multiplying effects. As
such, physicists should be adequately encouraged to dabble deeper in search of new
undeveloped areas for alternative sources of electricity generation, which are
both long and short termly realistic, viable and quite affordable; and once
discovered, they should be funded in other to make their recommendations and
products commercial and not entirely novel.

The Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria

{CIYIRI} have no doubt concluded on a couple or research works, while some are
still ongoing, which would require huge funding; so also many other physicists and
non-physics researchers and scientists, and we need real funding and grants from
the N.I.P, N.I.P endorsed financiers, governments and international organizations,
thus our appeal.

9.0. A WORD FROM Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers

Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI

The Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria

{CIYIRI} is an organization, deeply involved in various science based research.
After concluding on over nine {9} of her works, she can proudly say that a patent
pending status has been conferred on these works. This spans from research on
fuelless generator that uses the working process of a simple pendulum, called the
pendulum power; coolant panel, which is used in producing a self charging
capacitor and uses protons to generate electricity, to be used in motor vehicles
instead of fuel or diesel, aircrafts of whatever size, instead of aviation fuel,
electric cookers etal; bilateral crude-oil formation BILCOF, an industrial crude-
oil synthesizing process that plagiarizes the natural formation process in the
absence of oxygen and in the presence of sand; palm-nut oil; coconut oil; coconut
cheese, coconut flakes, coconut flour, meal and swallows a and sugar cane juice,
with each with a patent pending status .

Also, Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria

{CIYIRI} is conducting a research on the biological reason for why couples of a
decade resemble, with questionnaires for medical experts and couples ready;
another research work on synthetic diamond production has long started, while that
of X-ray for crude-oil detection as also commenced. Also, we have hypothesized a
dissent on the theory n anomalous expansion of water, with adequate proofs to
buttress our arguments. Infact, once we receive grants, we would fully commence
the research work on: de-earthing the earth crust for electricity, which we are
constantly motivated by the wilbrights brothers conquering of gravity, with their
invention of the aircraft.

With environmental considerations, all our works have been designed in such a way
as not to have any negative impinge o the climate or environment, because we want
our works to be globally accepted, since we know that the world is frantically
trying hard to reduce and even expunge every global warming contributor, due to
its huge defects on the world, which is already poignant.

Due to the volume of our works and their expected impinges on the Nigerian and
global economy, their development prospects and foreign exchange earning
possibilities, Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers
Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI} would require more pelf; foreign grants; well-equipped
laboratories; coalition and affiliation with Nigerian research oriented
universities, private and other independent research institutions, international
and renown research organizations; in other to produce more realistic, efficient
and globally required conclusions recommendations and works. Conference of
Inventors and Young Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI} also
requires recommendation and contacts which would help us actualize our goals, thus
our appeal to N.I.P members and research well-meaning personnel’s herein present
to help see to our requests, in order to encourage young undergraduate researchers
who are poised to bring out the best for all to benefit from research, inspite of
our environment.

The N.I.P which today has given us a platform for expression, no doubt needs to be
empowered beyond this level by individuals, collective, government and
international efforts. After all, this is the only representing body for all
Nigerian physicists, who are enthusiastic about physics and aid not discontinue to
retire into commercial organizations after their stint sojourn in the world of
physics.

10.0. HOPE, POSSIBILITY AND A CHALLENGE FOR THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF PHYSICISTS,
N.I.P

The Nigerian Institute of Physicists, nay, National Institute of Physicists,

N.I.P, has no doubt always being promising. But it is quite unusual, as no
renowned research work or conclusion has so far being credited to her as an
institute, other than mere educational and conventional formalities. Even her
website is not known, if one exists, as I searched for it on the internet; and
other than her annual conference and a pamphlet publication, nothing within our
country’s borders can be associated with this National Institute of Physicists,
N.I.P, which boasts of renowned West African Professors. Well, it requires huge
resources to put these things in place, which makes me call on the extant
executive board to seek for grants and affiliation with/from the Nigerian
government, science and technology ministry, the United Nations and International
bodies.

In doing these, every administration of each executive board of the N.I.P should
outline areas where it would infuse funds in for research, which would be
quarterly reviewed and progress profile mid-annually published, of which would
include works from physics and on-physics but physics centered N.I.P funded
research works. The commitment to research in various aspects of the outlined
areas should be encouraged and coordinated in a N.I.P central laboratory.

The N.I.P should also eek recognition from the government and be more vocal on
national issues that crosses across the field of physics, by issuing candid press
statements and press conferences on national issues. The N.I.P should also have a
committee that would review the curriculum of all physics course in Nigerian
universities, monotechnics, polytechnics, post graduate and secondary schools, to
meet up with the global standards; while also sending representatives to attend
and present conference papers at international fora and physics’ bodies’
conferences. Also, if there is no International Institute of Physicists body, a
collection of all countries National Institute of Physicists, our N.I.P should
initiate the process for its birth.

The N.I.P should endeavor to publish all research conclusions in the area and
field of physics, conducted in the country, involving (with inputs from) the
participation of the researchers, in the yearly journals, while also increasing
the tenure of executive administration from one year to two years, so that
whatever research work(s) an executive administration commences, which must not be
less than seven (7) of international and national cognizance and relevance, , can
be completed or marshaled so that the next administration would incorporate it
into its research plans, without obstruction its own mission and research
potentials.

Acquiesced, there are numerous challenges facing then N.I.P,, which includes
dedication and finance; but where the heart is willing, a thousand solutions would
be produced. As such, the N.I.P should capitalize on her extant situation and the
pedigree of her current leadership which includes my humble dean and N.I.P
president, Professor Akande of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), to
overcome all her challenges, by taking pragmatic actins and sourcing funds, in
order not to sustain N.I.P’s existence but prove her existence.

11.0. CONCLUION

Issues have been raised in volumes, but they become null if not effected and
implemented. One, I feel a committee is required to sort out by term, all
conference papers submitted and presented at/ for the conference, to channel and
send them to the appropriate bodies for implementation, of which the N.I.P body
would team with; while those that require further research should be commence,
with full participation of the researcher cum author.

Consequently, having highlighted a couple of means in order to effect maximum

output from the energy sector and sources, which includes “dam water recyclement;
wind dam; methane collection over dams; dam rehabilitation, construction of
reservoir tanks, and even the proposed de-earthing for electricity, whose research
has just commenced,” for optimum generation of electricity, Conference of
Inventors and Young Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI} hopes that
they would be taken into serious considerations while also giving me, her
representative, the opportunity to air our candid and quite modest suggestions.

We of Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria

{CIYIRI} modestly pride in suggesting pragmatic and realistic long and short term
perennial solutions to problems, through her research; and it is on this premise
that I/ we say that we take full responsibility for any exaggeration and
unrealistic suggestion and recommendation made herein, as it is against our ethics
and practice. Moreso when the nation and world’s challenges are obviously
unabridged, of which we are aware of and constantly furnishing ourselves on its
need.

Using this medium, as we applaud this emerging body, Conference of Inventors and
Young Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI}; lets remember that we
are first physicists, and because we are Nigerians is why we became who we are –
physicists. So lets put our country ahead in every of our decisions and ensure we
are in action, patriotic and sympathetic to the course of our world; as it would
help us during research, to proffer useful recommendations and solutions of global
excellence.

Conference of Inventors and Young Independent Researchers Institute, Nigeria

{CIYIRI} is thanking you for giving her, via her representative – Oluwa Eshomomoh
Oluwatoyin-- the opportunity to say this little and bore, just this much, via this
piece, to the world of physicists, and indeed the world of problem solvers; and
believe that she’d be given future opportunities and called upon in later moments
to work on N.I.P research team, whenever the opportunity calls.

Also, we dare to add and quote the biography of CHRIST once again that “whatsoever
things are just, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are lovely, and
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, if there be any
virtue, think on these things.”

Finally, on behalf of the Conference of Inventors and Young Independent

Researchers Institute, Nigeria {CIYIRI} members, Samson, Salome, Tope, Ife; all
undergraduates of physics with electronics and physics courses; and my dearest and
ever wonderful kwin Ahigbe Mabel, and dearest kwin Aigbotsua Esther I say gracias.

Thank you and GOD bless you all. Amen!
