2.3

Valve Selection (Addition) Minimum inlet flange rating shall be ASME B16.5 Class 300. Tables 2 through 15 apply to flanged valves only. Pressure temperature limits for threaded pressure relief valves shall be specified by the manufacturer.

2.4

Dimensions (Addition) Dimensions for threaded pressure relief valves shall be per manufacturers specification. Threaded connections shall comply with ANSI B1.20.1.

2.6

Special Construction Features (Addition) Special features shall be supplied as specified per 8020-611-ENG. Bonnet caps shall be drilled and tapped 3 8 thread per ANSI B1.20.1. A solid steel plug shall be inserted prior to shipment.

Material 3.1 General (Addition) In sour service all wetted parts, welds and heat affected zones of welds exposed to corrosive components shall meet the hardness and heat treatment requirements as specified in NACE MR0175/ISO 15156. This includes material under overlays, platings or coatings. 3.2 Body and Spring (Addition) Spring materials shall be per manufacturers standard and shall be suitable for the intended service.

Inspection and Shop Tests (Addition) Minimum inspection requirements are specified in Saudi Aramco Inspection Requirement Form 175-341900. When NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 is specified in the Purchase Order, the manufacturer shall conduct hardness tests on all wetted parts in accordance with ASTM E10 or ASTM E18. Manufacturer shall conduct tests on a production sampling basis on all affected components or produce test documentation to certify the base material has been

tested. Components or base metal shall be tested on a heat lot basis. Test results shall be traceable to Purchase Order line items. 4.3 Seat Leakage Test (Replacement) Seat leakage test shall be conducted as follows: Steam Service Safety relief valves specified for steam service shall be subject to a seat leakage test in accordance with ASME SEC VIII D1, Pressure Vessel Code, UG-136 (d). Non-steam Service Safety relief valves specified for non-steam service shall be subject to a seat leakage test in accordance with API STD 527 "Commercial Seat Tightness of Safety Relief Valves with Metal-to-Metal Seats". 4.4 Hydrostatic Test (Addition) This test shall be conducted in accordance with ASME SEC VIII D1, Pressure Vessel Code, UG-136 (d) (2,3). The "design pressure of the parts" in UG-136 (d) (2) shall mean vendor's maximum design pressure for the subject valve (NOT SET PRESSURE of SUBJECT VALVE). 4.5 Visual Inspection (Addition) Visual inspection and physical check shall be made when so specified in the Purchase Order: a) Compliance with the purchase order description, relevant specifications, paint description, certified drawings and Vendor's catalog description as applicable. Verification of the identification name plate for compliance with the data of Appendix B. Verification of satisfactory workmanship, material, components, dimensions and freedom from surface defects.

b) c) 4.6

Test Requirements (Addition) Production tests shall comply with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Requirements. When so specified on the Purchase Order, 30%, with a minimum of one, of the total number of valves ordered shall be selected for a repetition of the Vendor's (set) pressure and leakage tests and shall produce a record which should
