Objectives
The topics in this syllabus such as Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, Vector Analysis and Fourier analysis are arranged in such a way as to enhance better learning and understanding vital mathematical concepts and principles and to achieve the ability to relate different areas of mathematics. These topics become essential parts of the mathematical background of engineers, physicists, mathematicians and other scientists.

Course Details
1. Integral Calculus Methods of Substitution, Integration by Parts, Integration of Rational fractions. Definite Integral, Beta function, Gamma function, Relation between Gamma and Beta functions. 2. Differential Equations Formation of differential equations, Differential equation of first order and first degree. Variable Separable, Homogeneous equations, Exact differential equations. Linear Equations, Linear Equations with constant co-efficients. 3. Vector Analysis Vectors, Scalars, Scalar or Dot product, Vector or Cross product. Ordinary derivatives of vectors of vectors, The vector differential operator del, Gradient, Divergence, Curl and some problems. Ordinary integrals of vectors, Line integrals, Surface integrals, Volume integrals, Gausss theorem, Stokes theorem and Greens theorem. 4. Fourier Analysis Periodic functions and Trigonometric series, Fourier series, The Fourier cosine and sine series (even and odd functions). Fourier Transform and Fourier Integral.
