Five Keys of Authority Authority of Christ Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Matthew 28:18
Ps. Leo Harris: I retired to my bed but there was no sleep for me that night. Arousing a friend who stayed in our home at the time, I asked him to join me in prayer. For several hours it was just a matter of reading and claiming the Word of God and committing the whole situation to the Lord in faith. Then suddenly the Spirit of God began to move upon me. It was so real and definite that I checked the time with my watch. It was 4.20 a.m. Within moments it seemed that the Word of God was thundering within my heart and mindall power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore!

Ps. Leo Harris, in that moment, received an amazing revelation from God, and that was the understanding of the Authority of Christ. The understanding that God has given Jesus the Authority over Angels (Hebrews 1:4), authority over Principalities and Powers (Ephesians 1:19 22), over the Church and to Judge all people Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son. John 5:22. What an awesome authority has been delegated to the Son of God! Our faith in the Authority of Christ should be an incentive to victorious living. It should challenge and inspire us and make all Gods promises effective in our lives. Little wonder that the apostle John, on the Isle of Patmos, fell at His feet as dead (Revelation 1:17) when he saw the Risen Lord and heard his triumphant words Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Prayer: Lord, give me wisdom to understand how amazing the Authority You have given me is. I pray I may take a hold of that authority and have faith that through it I can do great things for Your Kingdom. Kingdom. Help me not to be afraid but understand that Your authority makes makes me victorious. victorious. Amen. Amen. Scripture Reading: Ephesians #1

Five Keys of Authority Authority of the Believer Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:21
Ps. Leo Harris: Next Sunday when we met in our service, I said to the people, Many of you know that we have been seeking the Lord through the past week, and you expect me to open my bag and bring out a Revival! That is exactly what I intend to do. Opening my bag I produced a Bible and declared, It is all here. Here is the secret of revival and victory and power with God. All we need to do is receive it, believe it and act on it. We need to know who we are, what God says concerning us and what our authority is in Jesus Christ.

Most of us try to live right in order to be ALL GOOD with God but this isnt how God wants it, in fact He asks us to first believe then gives us the power to live our lives right. Our standing, our position, our wealth, our rights and privileges in Christ are all by the Grace of God. (Ephesians 3:20 24) To be the best man or woman of God we can be, we must first understand who we are in Christ and the Authority we have been given. In as much as we are identified in Christ all that is said concerning Christ is also said concerning us. Christ has been given all authority and in Him so have we. Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. With Christs authority we can lay hands on the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead and so much more. When we take hold of the inexhaustible resources of the Kingdom of God, which we have the authority to do, we can see lives transformed. Yesterday, we considered the key of the Authority of Christ. Here now is another key the authority of the believer in Christ, or should we say, the Authority of Christ in the believer. Let us cease justifying failures and let us convert our excuses into testimonies. Let us lay hold of the key that is offered to us, believe it and prove it.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for all You You have given to me. me. Thank Thank You for the authority I now have since I believed in You. You. I pray that You guide and help me to understand and take hold of that authority and put it into practice, in Jesus Jesus name, name, amen amen. men. Scripture: Luke #10:1 24

Five Keys of Authority Authority of the Word Part 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1 5
Ps Leo Harris: Suddenly, something changed inside of me, a river of faith and assurance seemed to well up from my inner most being, a veil seemed to be torn away from my understanding, and from my lips broke forth, not the old question of unbelief, but the expressions of faith and conviction. The Word works! It works by faith and I have faith! What the Word says about God is true! What the Word says about me is true! What the Word says I am in Christ I am! What the Word says I can do through Christ I can do! What the Word of God says about you is true Your feelings may tell you that you are defeated, frustrated, struggling against overwhelming odds, but the Word says you are more than a conqueror standing on the threshold of unlimited possibilities in Christ and through faith in the Word.

The Word has divine authority for when God spoke in Genesis 1 let there be there was. In fact the world itself is a by-product of Gods powerful Word spoken. Taking hold of the authority of the Word of God and understanding that His Word is truth, is crucial to growing in our faith. Weve all heard the saying Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Well unfortunately this is not true Death and life are in the power of the tongue Proverbs 18:21. In fact words spoken over our lives can do great damage and they can leave lasting scars. Take hold what God has spoken over you through His Word its awesome! Psalms 139:13 14 For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Prayer: Thank You Lord that Your Your Word speaks love over me. I pray that I may take a hold of the authority of Your Word, and through it grow into a better person. I pray that my heart is open to the promises promises that You You have spoken over my life through the Word. ord. Give Give me opportunities to share Your Word with others, in Jesus Name, Name, Amen. Amen. Scripture: Hebrews #4

Five Keys of Authority Authority of the Word Part 2 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 The Word has Divine Power Not only did the atoms come together at the authoritative command of God, but they live by the power of that Word. Behind all creation there is the mind, thought, power and life of God. When Jesus cast out the unclean spirit from the man in the synagogue, the people were amazed and exclaimed, What a Word is this! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits (Luke 4:36). The words of Jesus contained not only the authority of God, but the power, life, energy and ability of God. We see the divine authority of His words when He cursed the fig tree, and it obeyed and died. Again when He commanded the wind and waves to hush and be still, they obeyed and gave place to great calm. We too have access to the divine word and Authority of God through Jesus. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. John17:7 8 You see, the Word of God is given to us we may speak them and we can live by its authority and power. As those words of God dwell in our hearts and are spoken by our lips they become bread and fruit to us (Luke 4:4). We SHALL, not can, be filled with their power. We SHALL be changed and transformed by them. They HAVE, not may have, justified us, healed us, empowered us and given us great victory. Sometimes we ask, If this is true why dont I see it at work in my life?. What we need to ask ourselves is: do we unreservedly accept the authority of the Word of God in our heart? Confess with your mouth..and BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART (Rom 10:9). God desires us to use His Word. When we remove all reservations and truly believe, then the authority and divine power of the Word becomes evident in our lives.

Prayer: God I thank You for the amazing Power and Authority You have given me. Help me to unreservedly accept it in my heart, so that when an opportunity arises, I have the faith to see Your Word come alive, alive, in in Jesus Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Matthew #4

Five Keys of Authority Authority of the Ministry
Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:18 20 Sooner or later, every believer will come to a time when he or she will be challenged with the need for equipment from on high to fulfil their commission and fulfil the purpose of God in their ministry calling. Faced with this challenge we can either harden our hearts and close our ears to the cries of the bound, or seek from the Lord the supernatural ability that we need to reproduce the ministry of Christ and set the captives free. The Christ given ministry gifts (or ascension gifts as they are often called) are listed in Ephesians 4:11 as follows: So Christ Himself gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and some as teachers. Now these ministry gifts were won for us at Calvary. This is why it says in Ephesians 4:8, When He ascended on high, He took many captives and gave gifts to His people. Now every believer has a gifting, it might not directly fall into any of the above categories but it is nevertheless crucial to the development of the Church, the Body of Christ. Just as a body, though one has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one bodywhether Jews or Gentiles, slave or freeand we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. 1 Corinthians 12:12 14 We need to understand that we are all called to use our ministry gifts for the glory of God. We should not hide them under a rock, but utilise them whenever we can. Most importantly we need to understand that we have been given authority to minister, to share the love of God. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

Prayer: God I thank You for You have called me, You chose chose me and ordained me. I pray You You give me the ability to take hold of what You have called me to do. Help me to recognise the ministry You have called me to. to. Help me to accept it; it; help me to live it and help me to be faithful faithful to it, in in Jesus esus name, name, amen. amen. Five Keys of Authority Authority of Christ in the local church Simon Peter answered, You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Jesus replied, Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven... on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Matthew 16:16 18 Every local church stands as a witness to the risen, triumphant and glorified Christ. He has died, been raised and ascended. All authority is given to Him in heaven and on earth. Christ defeated the devil on what was his own territory, snatching from him the keys of hell and death. He is now enthroned in victory, His authority supreme.
There are four ways that the local church can give faithful witness to the victory of Christ:

The Victory of Christ is seen in the Unity of the Local Church:

Great emphasis is laid upon unity in the New Testament. Even before He ever mentioned the church, Jesus said; Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you; leave your gift... First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:23 24

The Victory of Christ is seen in the Charity of the local church:

While the King James Version uses the word charity, the word in Greek means: one that expresses in divine love, a supernaturally imparted love. Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another; be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8

The Victory of Christ is seen in the Authority of the local church:

We should never forget the profound truth of Matthew 18:19 20 Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven; for where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

The Victory of Christ is seen in the Ministry of the local church:

God did not intend that the local church should be merely selfgoverning, but also that it should be self-propagating. They are as lamp stands whose purpose is to give light. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. Romans 1:8

Prayer: Father I pray for TurningPoint. Help Help it to rise up and become the greatest greatest light to the community. community. May May it be a perfect reflection of Your love. Help me to serve diligently and faithfully in Jesus Jesus name, name, amen amen. men. Scripture: Matthew #18

Five Keys of Authority To the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. Jude 1:25 The five keys of authority that weve been going through this week are available to every believer. We should desire to have an increased faith to exercise the authority that has been conferred upon us. The Authority of Christ Matthew 28:18 The Authority of the Believer Ephesians 3:21 The Authority of the Word John 1:1-5 The Authority of the Ministry Matthew 28:18 20 The Authority of Christ in the Local Church Matthew 16:16 18

Lets take hold of the fact that God has given us all we need to live a victorious life, in our homes, in our work place, schools and universities, in our community and in the church. Isaiah 54:17 states, No weapon formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me, declares the LORD.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for the authority I have in You. I know that I am more than a conqueror; that I am fearfully and wonderfully made; made; that I am an ambassador of Christ and that I have been called to go and set the captives free. I pray You help me take hold of that authority and do exactly that share Your love and grace by being a shining light on a hill, in Jesus Jesus name, amen amen. men. Scripture: Philippians #2

Your Faith is Power The Miracle power of your own faith in God Jesus replied, Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. (Matthew 21:21 22) Here are seven fundamental facts about faith. A heartfelt understanding of these facts cannot help but change your life, bringing blessing, healing, deliverance and power. They are not beyond your reach. They apply to your life and they will help make your faith work: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Faith has unlimited possibilities Matthew 15:28 Faith is an inward conviction 2 Corinthians 4:13 16 All have faith, but not all use their faith 2 Thessalonians 3:2 Faith can be nourished and strengthened James 2:14 26 Much is achieved by victorious faith Matthew 15:21 28 Your faith must be released Luke 8:43 48 It is the most reasonable and logical thing to use your faith in the power of God Ephesians 4:6

Yes, your faith in the supernatural power of God is well justified. To use the miracleworking power of your faith is the most reasonable, most logical, most sensible and most satisfying thing a man or woman can do. God gave you faith to use. Man was made to live by their faith in higher powers! Why not start NOW.

Prayer: Father I thank You for the measure of faith that You have given me, I pray that I may may be able to strengthen that faith through, time with You in prayer, devotion, reading the Word of God and fellowshipping with other believers. I pray that as I grow in faith, Your mighty hand may start to work in my life and the lives of others around me, me, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Matthew #8

Your Faith is Power Facts about your faith While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. Your daughter is dead, he said. Dont bother the teacher anymore. Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, Dont be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed. (Luke 8:59 50) I believe that if Christ were here today He would ask us to talk about this matter of our faith. So then let us consider these three facts about our faith: 1. Faith is Positive There may be negative influences in our lives but faith is always positive. Many people spend much of their lives in a state of reaction that is, they react to their circumstances; they react to what people say and do; they react to their feelings. Faith however, is never in reaction, but always in action. Faith is a positive force in our lives (Matthew 21:21). 2. Faith is power Wherever there is faith, that is, a real positive faith, there is power. Faith always precedes action. Jesus said in Mark 9:23 If you can? said Jesus. Everything is possible for one who believes. That means if our believing is right, things will happen. According to our believing, all things are possible to us. Faith is power that works within us. 3. Faith is personal It is not enough to say that we believe. It is not enough to say what our church believes or what the pastor believes. It is a question of what I believe. Faith is always personal. (Mark 9:23)

Prayer: Father I pray that You would help me to grab hold of the faith faith that You give me. Help me to understand that with my faith I can be a positive and powerful believer, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Matthew #8

Your Faith is Power The greatest power in your life Jesus asked the boys father, How long has he been like this? From childhood, he answered. It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us. If you can? said Jesus. Everything is possible for one who believes. Immediately the boys father exclaimed, I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief! (Mark 9:21-24) Every day we are using the most powerful spiritual and mental energy known to human life. It determines good or ill, sickness or health, failure or success, defeat or victory, and shapes our future. It is believing power the universal human ability to believe! Believing is a twenty four hour a day activity for every one of us. We are always believing, either consciously or subconsciously even in our sleeping hours. We are always believing in something. When the Roman centurion asked the Lord speak the word only that his servant may be healed, Jesus replied Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would and his servant was healed that very moment (Matthew 8:8 13). Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would no more, no less, no differently, just as you believe. God is powerful; Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, but your needs are met according to what or how you believe. The reservoirs may be full of water, but you must turn the tap on in your home. Gods reservoirs are always full and overflowing, but your believing determines how much you receive in life.

Prayer: Father I pray that You help me to believe more and more in You. Believe in Your amazing power. Believe in Your amazing love and believe in Your amazing grace. I pray that as I increase in faith and believing I will be able to see Your mighty hand at work in my life and in the lives lives of others, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Romans #4

Your Faith is Power Dont say you cant when God says you can! I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:12 13) There are enough people telling us what we cannot do. Its time we heard what we can do. It is time believers knew what God has declared them to be. It is time believers lived up to the inheritance God has given to us in Christ Jesus. Too many of us constantly talk about what we cannot do, how we lack and what we are not. These negative attitudes are plain wrong and contradict what Gods word reveals. We often say we cant when God emphatically says We can. I am deeply convinced that it is time that we as believers cease glorifying defeats, lacks, sicknesses and begin glorifying God in their victory. ITS TIME WE CONVERTED OUR EXCUSES TO TESTIMONIES In Numbers 13 God said to Moses, Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel. So Moses did so. He sent out 12 men to go spy the land. When they arrived there, they saw Giants. Fierce warriors, men they were fearful of and in their eyes they were like grass hoppers to these giants. Ten of the twelve spies returned and said they are stronger than we Two of the spies returned and said The Lord is with us, fear them not They interpreted the conditions according to their heart, ten looked at the giants and felt like grasshoppers and two looked at God and to them the Giants were the grasshoppers. The heart of fear and the heart of faith present opposite reports (2 Timothy 1:7) of the same situation. The heart of faith says A Golden opportunity for Victory the heart of fear says It just cant be done. What is your Giant?

Prayer: Jesus I pray that You help me to overcome my fears, that the things of this world will not overwhelm or overtake the power of God that dwells in me. I pray that You help me to face my giants, not looking at how big they are but rather looking at how big You are, and that I can do all things through You, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Numbers 13

Your Faith is Power The power that works within us I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. (Ephesians 1:18 21) How often do we fail to grasp the secret of power, of blessing, of spiritual success and of healing that is until the Holy Spirit unveils the secret and impresses it indelibly upon our hearts. In chapter one of the book of Ephesians, Paul details his concern to the church and the believer. He was not concerned with their external circumstances, but rather their inward experiences. This overwhelming burden of Pauls was that believers should awaken to the realisation of the divine power at work within them. (Ephesians 1:18) You see it is heart knowledge that we need, a spirit given revelation of the reality of Gods inspired word. Paul says that you might know: 1. The hope of His calling Not merely what we have been called from, but we have been called to and that its for His glorious purpose. 2. The riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints We have an inheritance in God, and God has an inheritance in us. 3. The exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe For who can comprehend the vastness of Gods plan and provision for the believer. God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us (Ephesians 3:30). The power that answers prayer, that has the ability to deliver us, to heal us and supply our needs, is only regulated by the extent that we allow His power to work in us, or how much we believe and use it.

Prayer: Father I pray that I may be a living vessel for Your mighty power, that I may go where You lead and do what You call me to do. I pray that Your power may work through me into the lives of those those around me, that they may be touched and drawn closer to You, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Ephesians #1

Your Faith is Power Torments and fear and how God can set you free For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:6 7) This is one of the most dynamic and power packed verses in the bible. It has the ability to change the entire course of a persons life. I dont think there are many texts I quote more than this one. I find it does something within me as I quote it and believe it. There is power in this verse. Lets consider 12 points with regard to fear and the delivering power of God. These 12 points fall into four groups: The origin of fear in our lives 1. We are not born with fear 2. God does not give us fear Romans 8:15 3. Fear is the product of wrong believing What fear does to us 4. Fear has tormenting power 1 John 4:18 5. Fear has attracting power Job 3:25 6. Fear develops in strength and power How God sets us free 7. We must confess our fears 8. Challenge your fears with the word of God Romans 6:14 9. Practice positive believing Ephesians 6:17 Be filled with the spirit of God 10. A sound mind 11. A Spirit of love 12. A Spirit of power God has given us all we need to overcome fear, let us take a hold of it. Live it and press on toward the amazing call God has for our lives.

Prayer: Father I pray that fear will not have control over my life any longer. I thank You for Your Word that declares You have given me a spirit that can and will overcome all fears. I pray I may put that into practice in my day to day life, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: 2 Timothy #1

Your Faith is Power The Miracle of Christ reborn in your heart But when the set time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are His sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, Abba, Father. So you are no longer a slave, but Gods child; and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir. (Galatians 4:4 7) God sent His Son what a profound statement, the Son who was prophesied for centuries before! What a miracle we leave the realm of physiology and science and we are left in awe at the miraculous power and nature of God. The Son of God came through supernatural conception and by virgin birth. We have inherited a fallen, sin conscious human spirit from our parents, but the Spirit in Jesus was sinless, guiltless, unfallen and holy. But heres the awesome thing BELIEVERS IN CHRIST ARE MIRACLE BORN. Born again men and women are sons and daughters of the supernatural. The miracle of Bethlehem is being repeated in us. Have you given your life to Jesus and been born again? The words Born Again referred to in John 3:3 means to be Born From Above. We have been born anew by the power of the Highest. A miracle birth indeed! And yet it is not so much that we have been born anew it is rather that Christ has been born anew with us. The Spirit of the Son of God indwells us. HALLELUJAH! (Galatians 2:20)

Prayer: Father I thank You that I am a new creation, born into a miracle life, a new life with You. I thank You that the old has gone and the new is here. I thank You that You have removed my past life and thrown my my mistakes as far as the east is from the west. I pray You help me to share the miracle of new life with others that they to may be able to have this amazing free gift, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Luke #1

Operation Outreach The power of deep desire Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdoms instruction. (Proverbs 29:18) I do not believe that we have ever conceived the tremendous power there is in our desires. We hear so much about our praying. We have heard many sermons about faith, but when we deal with our desiring, we are putting first things first and dealing with the bedrock foundation on which we may build a mountain moving faith and a powerful prayer life. Here is the secret of all spiritual revival. What is a desire? Its a vision, a concept that motivates our lives and shapes our destiny. Few have ever known true and notable success that has never known the fires of a passionate desire within their souls. The New Testament teaches us that there is a vast, unlimited power in a united vision, being of one accord in our desires and believing (Acts 2:1). So what should we as believers desire? Salvation of souls (Acts 2:41) Healing of the sick (Acts 5:16) The outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2) The New Testament Church in action (Acts 4:32 37)

Remember, knowledge is not enough. We must have knowledge but, above all we must have a vision and a heart aflame with Godly desire.

Prayer: Father I pray You fan a flame of desire in my heart, a flame that burns so strong that I am compelled to act upon it. Stir up a desire within me so that I may see souls saved, the sick healed, an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the church do mighty things, in Jesus Jesus name, name, amen amen. men. Operation Outreach The unlimited power of dedicated unity They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:45 47) What is dedicated unity? When we speak of unity, many people think of unity in a passive sense. They feel that unity is achieved merely by removing friction or disagreements among people. The kind of unity which the New Testament portrays is more than passive unity: rather it is aggressive team work. Its unity in action. Such a dedicated unity may be put into action on any level among pastors, leaders and any believer in the church who are dedicated to a common purpose in the service of the Lord. Such team work calls for three fold dedication: firstly to the Lord, secondly to the vision or desire of the team and its programme and thirdly to each member in the team. The Power of unity can never be over looked, And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place (Acts 2:1). They were in one ACCORD, unified with one purpose, and then the Holy Spirit came. And in Matthew 18:19 20 Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. Jesus makes it very clear that if we are unified in asking God then it WILL be done.

Prayer: Father I pray that You You help me to be unified with my brothers and sisters at TurningPoint. I promise promise to support the Pastors and leaders in order to see my church united; united; united in prayer prayer and in love, in Jesus Jesus esus name, amen amen. men. Scripture: Mathew #18

Operation Outreach Fully preaching the Gospel of Christ I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. (Romans 15:18 19) When we use the term full gospel some people think we are inferring that there are two gospels in the Bible. This, of course, is not true. I believe Paul has expressed the thought very clearly when he wrote I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. The Gospel is the same in your bible as in mine, but we need to make sure that we are preaching the full gospel, the fullness of the blessing of the gospel and not sugar coating it to keep friends. So we need to ask ourselves are we preaching as Paul preached? Are we fully preaching the Gospel of Christ? What and how did Paul preach? He preached with demonstration Acts 19:11 12 He preached the blessing of salvation Romans 1:15 16 He preached the blessing of obedience to the Gospel Romans 15:18 He preached the gospel with signs and wonders Acts 14 He preached the blessing of spiritual power Acts 19 He preached the blessed hope of the second coming of Christ Titus 2:13

Prayer: Father I pray that You give me wisdom to be able to grasp and learn the fullness of the Gospel, so that I may be able to share the love and grace of Christ fully. I pray that as I get closer to You, You will reveal the wonders of Your Word to me more and more, in Jesus Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Romans #15

Operation Outreach Preachers and people in the New Testament revival The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomons Colonnade. No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peters shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. (Acts 5:12 15) As a Pentecostal church, it is clear, that through New Testament teaching and New Testament preaching we will see New Testament revival. There are a few elements that need to be looked at when it comes to New Testament revival: The Hands of the Apostles And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people (Acts 5:12). Signs and wonders And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. (Mark 16:17 18). The magnetic power of deliverance ministry a deliverance ministry patterned after that of the New Testament has magnetic power. People are struggling so much today, they need to know we have the answers. The people walking in darkness have seen a great light (Isaiah 9:2). We are called to be that light. With one accord These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers (Acts 1:14). Added to the Lord and this is the thrilling result of New Testament revival: And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women (Acts 5:14). Prayer: Father I pray for revival in TurningPoint. I pray to see people drawn drawn to You through every believer. I pray that that TurningPoint is full of of people who desire to worship You You. miracles, signs and wonders and for people to be added to ou. I pray for miracles, the Lord daily daily, in Jesus Jesus name, name, amen amen. men.

Operation Outreach The Church Universal & Local Churches in the N.T. Jesus replied, Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. (Mathew 16:17 18) The words church and churches are derived from a Greek word ekklesia which means a called out assembly. Even though we have different denominations today, from Gods point of view there is only one universal church, comprising born again believers of all lands and of all generations. God sees this Great Church of Christ divided into local companies of believers meeting regularly in His name. In todays society a lot of people ask What can this church do for me? or What does this church offer my family? Unfortunately the wrong perspective has been put forward. Its not about what the church can do for or offer to me, its What I can do for or offer to the church? In fact the apostle Paul while preaching the Gospel goes as far as saying I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. (1 Corinthians 9:19) Are we willing to be a slave in the local church in order to see people saved? Through the New Testament we see the Apostle Paul make a lot of references to the church being likened to a body (Ephesians 1:22 23). The reference implies that, like a body, the church is made up of many parts but still functions together to form one church (Romans 12:4 5). So the question remains are you playing your part to see the Church grow? If youre a foot are you walking a path of servant hood? If youre a hand are you giving, helping and sharing? If youre a heart are you loving, forgiving and actively caring? If youre a mouth are you boldly declaring?

Prayer: Father I pray that You help me to fulfil my purpose in TurningPoint, my local church. I pray that You help me to understand what part of the Body Body I have been called too, and how to function best in that part. Let the church not be about me but rather I pray that I may be about the church for Your glory, in Jesus Jesus name, name, amen. Scripture: 1 Corinthians #12:26

Operation Outreach Spiritual Equipment for the local church Part One There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. (1 Corinthians 12:4 6) When Jesus was on earth in the flesh, His disciples leaned heavily on Him day by day. They relied on His faith, on His wisdom and on His power. When He broke the news that He must leave them, they were extremely sorrowful. Now what would they do? On whom could they rely? It was then that Jesus told them that, if He went away, another comforter would be sent to them, the promise of the Father (Acts 1:4), the spirit of truth (John 16:13), who was already dwelling with them but would later dwell within them. Jesus said that when the spirit comes you will receive power (Acts 1:8). Lets have a look at the power He was talking about. The Revelation Gifts Word of wisdom this is not natural wisdom, nor the wisdom of a philosopher. This is the supernatural gift of the Holy Spirit. It is a miraculous impartation of a fragment of Gods wisdom to a Spirit filled believer. Word of Knowledge a supernatural impartation of Gods Omniscience, or all knowingness. It is a divine word of knowledge, perhaps concerning an event or sickness. (1 Corinthians 12:7) Discerning of Spirits this applies particularly to the casting out of demons and evil spirits. (Mark 18:17) Gifts of Power The gift of faith the gift of faith is a supernatural impartation of the irresistible faith of God into the heart of a believer. It is a special faith for a special purpose.

Prayer: Father I thank You for Your Holy Spirit and the promise of power that You have given me. I pray that I may move more freely in the these gifts gifts for the glory of Your church, in Jesus Jesus name, amen amen. men. Scripture: 1 Corinthians #12:1 11

Operation Outreach Spiritual Equipment for the local church Part Two Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He distributes them to each one, just as He determines. (1 Corinthians 12:7 11) Yesterday we had a look at some of the amazing gifts God has given us through the Holy Spirit; lets now look at the rest: Gifts of Power (Continued) The Gift of healing these gifts are for healing, the curing of physical sickness, they are supernaturally imparted to the believer for another. The working of Miracles this is rendered as acts of power. This gift is for the demonstration of the power of God. It may be seen in certain miraculous healings such as the instant knitting of broken bones, de-materialising of cancer etc. Gifts of inspired utterance The gift of tongues this is not the spirit filled believers heavenly language, but rather a supernatural empowerment from God to bring a message to the church in a heavenly language. This gift should always be followed with the next gift. The interpretation of tongues this is the interpretation of the gift of tongues. Its purpose is to enlighten believers of the God given message brought in a gift of tongues.

Prayer: Father I pray that we will see these powerful and amazing gifts gifts more and more active in our church. I pray that that we as as believers eagerly desire to move in these gifts, in Jesus Jesus name, amen amen. men. Scripture: 1 Corinthians #14

Victory Over Satan Know Your Enemy The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) As someone who enjoys sports, playing and participating, I learnt over time that the best way to beat your opponent is to know your opponent: know their strengths, their weaknesses and with that information, devise a strategy and plan to defeat them. The same applies in our Christian walk. We often speak in general terms about the devil, but if we are to exercise victory over him, we need to be a little more specific in identifying him and come to a better understanding of the nature and characteristics of the powers with which we are dealing. We must know our enemy if we are to effectively overcome him. Throughout the Bible there are numerous indirect references to Satan and his evil hosts including what they mean: Satan Adversary, opponent or enemy (Matthew 16:23) Devil Accuser or slanderer (John 8:44) Serpent signifying the subtlety and wisdom of Satan (Genesis 3:1-14) Dragon Signifying the vicious rage of Satan (Revelation 12:3-17) Beelzebub Prince of devils (2 Kings 1:2) Prince and power of the air (Ephesians 2:2) God of the world (Galatians 1:4) Prince of this world (John 12:31)

Looks scary doesnt it, but as many things as Satan may be, there is one thing he is not and that is VICTORIOUS!! Christ is Victorious and through Christ we have victory over Satan, In Jesus Name

Prayer: Father I pray that you give me understanding and wisdom of knowing who my enemy is, so that through the victory of the cross I may be able to identify and defeat the work of Satan in mine, and others, lives, in Jesus Jesus name, amen. Scripture: John #10

Victory Over Satan Christs Victory over Satan and his demons And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. (Colossians 2:15) It is a fundamental truth of the Christian Faith that the Lord Jesus Christ has overcome and defeated Satan and all his evil hosts. Nevertheless, some of us have not fully grasped the true significance of this victory of Christ and the tremendous power and blessing that it can mean in our lives. There are two main ways in which Jesus defeated Satan, they are: 1. Christs Personal Victory over Satan The Son of God clothed Himself with perfect humanity and subjected Himself to all the trials and temptations of human experience. Satan had tempted the first Adam in the Garden of Eden and had captured him, thus gaining dominion over the entire human race. Now the Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45) had to face the same trials and temptation and in doing so was able to obtain His own personal victory over Satan. 2. Christs Representative Victory over Satan Christs personal victory over Satan led to His representative victory over Satan. It was not enough that Christ should gain personal victory over Satan. He had to overcome the devil on behalf of all mankind. Christ paid the ultimate price, taking upon Him all the sin of mankind and once and for all defeating death. He reconciled us back to the Father (1 John 3:1) and gave us new life. He gave us something we could never deserve GRACE.

Prayer: Jesus, I thank You for what youve done for me, noth nothing I could ever do can repay what Youve done. Your victory over the the devil has given me new life. Your Your victory over death has given me me eternal life and I pray that You You will help me to serve You with all of that life, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: John #19

Victory Over Satan Secret of the believers victory Part One But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressionsit is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4 6 There are five fundamentals for the victory of the believer over Satan and his powers. In this devotion we will look at the first three: 1. Union with Christ This is an important truth that all Christians need to understand. Believers are united with Christ. He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit (1 Corinthians 6:7). Every true believer is, by faith, identified with Christ in His death, resurrection and ascension to the throne of God. This is our legal union with Christ which we accept in faith (Colossians 2:10). 2. The word of God Another essential secret of victory is that we know and whole heartedly believe the Word of God. Knowledge of Gods Word brings enlightenment, but faith means to act accordingly. To have faith in the Word of God means to act in the light of that Word. In Ephesians 6:17 the Word of God is called the Sword of the Spirit We must learn to handle that sword. We must know how to wield it before our enemy. 3. The Name of Jesus Friend, there is no more powerful name than the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9 11). Every believer has the right to speak the name of the highest power and authority in the universe JESUS. In this name we can rebuke, command, resist, overcome and be delivered from Satan.

Prayer: Father I thank You that through You I have great victory. I pray that You help me to grasp the fullness of my union with You, the importance of Your Word and the power of the name of Jesus. I pray that as I read Your Word more and more, You bring greater and greater revelation into my heart. Teach me and guide me into victorious living, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Ephesians #2

Victory Over Satan Secret of the believers victory Part Two Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. (Revelation 12:11) Yesterdays devotion looked at our union with Christ, the Word of God and the name of Jesus and how we apply these in order to become victorious believers. Today we look at two more elements by which we are victorious: 4. The Blood of Jesus Make no mistake about this demons hate and fear the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. They know full well that the sinless blood of Christ was shed that they might be defeated. They know the blood of Christ destroys their authority over believing humanity. (Revelations 12:11) 5. Power of the Holy Spirit This is the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. He has come into the world to be a comforter taking the place of Jesus and enabling us to do the works that Jesus did. Christ said I cast out devils by the Spirit of God (Matthew 12:28). Now He has sent the Holy Spirit to us promising, the works that I do you too shall do (John14:12). We should be filled with the Holy Spirit and learn to rely upon His power. The Holy Spirit, by His power and gifts, give us all we need to contend with and overcome the powers of darkness.

Prayer: Father, once again I thank You for all that You You have given me to be a victorious Believer. I pray that I may utilise all that You have given me to further Your kingdom. Holy Spirit guide me and teach me to depend on You so that when challenges arise I know that through Jesus I have already conquered them, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Acts #3

Victory Over Satan Demon possession and the believers sure defence The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) The Devil is undoubtedly out to try and bring down the believer. He attacks in many ways; by trying to oppress us (Ephesians 6:12) and even possess us (Matthew 12:22). In the New Testament we read many cases of men and women whose lives were being destroyed by the Devil. Jesus however, using Godly authority, spoke to the sickness and disease and even to the demons themselves (Mark 5:6 10) casting them out and breaking the power they had over peoples lives. I remember going through a period of time in my teenage years when depression had taken over my life. I struggled with feelings of loneliness, hopelessness and even times of hating myself. The devil had a really strong hold on my life. He was out to steal kill and destroy my life. It wasnt until I understood the Jesus came to give life, and life to its fullest (John 10:10) that my life started to change. Thats right Life to the Fullest, not an average life, not a good life but the fullest of lives. The devil is passionate about destroying our lives, but Christ is passionate about energising, exciting and igniting our lives. Its so important to understand that our greatest and only defence to the work of the devil is Jesus. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to overcome the work of the devil and stand victorious. 1 John 5:4

Prayer: Jesus I thank You for life, I pray that I can grab a hold of the fullness of life that You spoke about and I can stand strong against the devils attacks. I pray You give me opportunities to pray for others who may be suffering from the attack of the devil and give me Christ like boldness to be able to speak life into their situations, in Jesus name, amen. Victory Over Satan Casting out demons The seventy-two returned with joy and said, Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name. He replied, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. (Luke 10:17 19) In Luke 10 we read how Jesus gave authority to the seventy disciples, and how they too were able to cast out demons. In fact Jesus intended that all His disciples, which includes us, should have the authority to cast out demons. This should excite every believer, understanding that the enemy must come under submission to the Christ in us (Mark 16:17). One of the keys to our being effective in this area is our own submission to Christ. James 4:7 Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. In Acts 19:13 16 the seven sons of Sceva learned this lesson in a painful way. When confronting a demon possessed man they tried to perform deliverance only to be beaten up and sent packing by the demon because they didnt have a personal relationship with Christ they didnt submit to God first. Even the archangel Michael (Jude 1:9) rebuked the devil only in the name of Lord he didnt presume he had the authority in his own right. Believers have a Christ given authority over all the enemys strengths and abilities. We are like a policeman on traffic duty, who control and direct high powered cars. The policeman has no power to stop the cars, but has an authority to stop them, which must be obeyed. Just so, the believer is clothed with the uniform of authority through faith in Christ and has the right to compel Satan to obey his/her command. We must learn to take hold of the Christ given authority we have, the authority over the devils power (John 14:12).

Prayer: I thank You Jesus that You have given me authority over the devil. I thank You that in Your name I can see the lame walk, the blind see, the sick healed and even the dead raised. I thank You for this awesome privilege and I pray I may not take it for granted, but in every situation that I may stand firm on this authority to see Your name exalted, in Jesus name, amen. Book Two Victory Over Satan When Jesus came into Peters house, He saw Peters mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on Him. When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Him, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. (Matthew 8:14 16) I remember going on a missions trip up to Darwin it was a youth camp and hundreds of indigenous kids rocked up, it was amazing. I remember one night, I think it was the Saturday night, there was a powerful move of the Holy Spirit, people were dancing, praying, laughing, crying and being set free. I remember praying for one young kid he asked for God to touch his life. So I did, I prayed for him and he went down, flat on the ground. At first I thought he had just fallen for the fun of it but he stayed down for nearly an hour. God spoke to me in that moment, he showed me that by praying for this young kid and asking God to touch him, the devils strong hold on this childs life was broken. I realised that by exercising the authority Christ had given me, a life had been transformed and forever changed. It is so critical that we understand that Satan is defeated, Christ won the victory, theres no extra time, no rematch, Jesus won with a TKO (1 John 3:8) and even more, He gave the reward of the victory to us. Thats right we receive the benefits of His victory. In life when the devil tries to rise up against the believer, against us, we claim the victory of Christ and we speak with authority and say Get behind me Satan (Matthew 16:23).

Prayer: Thank You Jesus that You were victorious over Satan, and that I have been given the authority to destroy the works of the Devil. I pray that I may believe it boldly and put it into practice in every situation of my life, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Luke #24

God Heals Today because He is unchanging God heals today because He is the unchangeable one. The entire Bible, Old and New Testament displays His healing power. Moreover, God has covenanted with His people to be their healing God. We have this divine healing covenant, or contract, and this is how it reads:
He said, If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you. (Exodus 15:26).

We need to remember that God doesnt say I am the Lord that could heal you or can heal you; no He said I am the God that heals you. Its a statement, a declaration. You see it is the very nature of God to heal the sick. Man may separate himself from the healing power of God by his sin, by his ignorance of Gods promises, by his disobedience, or sheer unbelief but God remains ever the same. Just as on the dullest day the sun still shines, but the clouds separate us from its warm rays, so Gods healing power is always there, always available, but clouds of fear, clouds of doubt, or clouds of disobedience, have crept in between God and ourselves. (Malachi 4:2) Gods healing rays are reaching out toward every one of us; we need to stop putting clouds in the way.

Prayer: Father Father I pray that You increase my faith so that I dont put clouds in the way of Your healing ability. I pray that in my life and the lives of those around me I have faith to know that You are the God that heals me, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Exodus #15:1 21

God Heals Today because Christ has conquered Satan Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:18 19) Sickness is from the devil, and Christ has conquered the devil! That is surely a powerful statement. Because it can be verified from the Bible it should convince every believer of the truth of divine healing for today and inspire the faith of all. It should also challenge every believer to practice this ministry. Origin of Sin Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12). There would be no sin or death in this world had Adam not sinned. When Adam disobeyed God he lost fellowship with God, he became mortal, and ultimately he died. And since we are all descendants of Adams race, we too have been born into a state of spiritual death. Christ Destroys the devils work The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devils work. (1 John 3:8) And He did it, once and for all, Christ conquered the devil. He destroyed the power that Adam gave him in the Garden of Eden. Christ made a way for us to receive the powerful healing of God. God heals today because Christ has conquered Satan.

Prayer: Jesus I thank You for defeating sickness, disease, and death on the cross. Thank You for defeating the work of the devil and giving us new life. I pray that I may have the faith to accept that You heal today, You heal now and You heal tomorrow, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Colossians #2

God Heals Today because of the atonement of Christ Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:4 6) Here is the third strong reason that God heals today; physical healing was secured for all believers through the atonement of Jesus Christ. The finished work of Christ at Calvary paid the price for the healing of our bodies exactly as it secured for us the forgiveness of sins. Christ suffered vicariously, or as a substitute, for our sicknesses in the same way that He suffered vicariously for our sins. Just as God laid our sins and iniquities upon Jesus, that He might suffer in our place, in order that we might be forgiven, so our sicknesses and pains were laid on Jesus too, that we might be healed in our mortal bodies. (1 Corinthians 15:3) How can we doubt that God will heal us when we know that Christ has paid the price to set us free? Just as the price for our salvation has been paid once and for all by Christ, so the price for our healing has also been paid. There is forgiveness for us, there is healing for us. God heals today because healing has been secured for us through the atonement of Christ.

Prayer: Jesus I thank You that You suffered for me. I thank You for all the punishment You took for me. I thank You that its because of You that I am free from sin, sickness and disease, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Isaiah #53

God Heals Today - Every believer has authority over Satan & his works In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace. (Ephesians 1:7) We have already considered the victory of Christ over Satan and all his evil works. We have seen how Jesus healed many. Few however appreciate the inspiring truth, in the death and resurrection, Jesus Christ legally and eternally defeated Satan for all believers. Satan Legally Defeated In His death on the cross, Jesus took the place of humanity. He was a representative man. He was mankinds substitute. He bore mans guilt and paid the penalty for mans sin (1Peter 2:24). It was a legal transaction, the innocent, voluntarily taking the place of the guilty and thus satisfying the demands of divine justice. God demonstrates His satisfaction with the substitute by raising Christ from the dead and receiving Him back at the Fathers own right hand in heaven (Romans 8:34). By our acceptance of what Christ has done for us, we are saved from the penalty of our sins, we are justified from all guilt, we are redeemed from the curse and restored to the favour of God our Father. Thus Satan was defeated by Christ and denied all claim upon the life of the believer! Knowing our Authority and using it We have learnt in previous devotions that Christ has given us Authority. So we need to believe it, accept this powerful truth. Declare your authority in Jesus name, and act on the authority given to you from above. Satan has power, great power, but over all of his power you have been given delegated authority. Satan has been placed beneath your feet, and you have the authority to step on him! (Psalms 91:13). Hallelujah!

Prayer: Jesus I pray that in all things I look to You You. ou. I trust in You and the authority I have been delegated. I know that Satan is under my feet by Your amazing sacrifice and pray You give me the boldness and courage to continue to walk that path of authority, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Galatians #3

God Heals Today The power of the Holy Spirit available to all believers All the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: You are my Son, whom I love; with You I am well pleased. (Luke 3:21 22) Many of us fail to appreciate the fact that the Holy Spirit is as real and active a force today as He was in the New Testament times. Even in the Old Testament, men of God were empowered by the Holy Spirit, but in isolated instances. In this Christian dispensation, however, the Holy Spirit has been sent into the world to fill every believer who will receive Him and to empower men and women to do the works that Jesus did. God intended that every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ should receive a personal baptism of the Holy Spirit and be empowered to do the same work that Jesus did. Before Jesus returned to heaven He commanded His disciples not to do anything but rather wait until they had received the Holy Spirit and His power so that they could then be effective witnesses (Acts 1:8). The baptism of the Holy Spirit and power is promised to every believer throughout the gospel age or in the Apostle Peters words even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:39). Divine healing is not mind over matter, nor auto-suggestion, but it is making contact with the living power of God by faith in the name of Jesus. There is a need for every believer in Jesus Christ to receive a personal baptism in the Holy Spirit and to be filled with power from on high. Yes, God heals today because the power of the Holy Spirit is still available to every believer.

Prayer: Father I pray that You teach me more about the Holy Spirit, that I may experience the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through my life. I pray that I may be bold enough to tell others about the power of the Holy Spirit and put that power into practice, in Jesus name, amen. amen. Scripture: Acts #2

God Heals Today Love is still the greatest healing power on Earth Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4 7) We need not only healing for our physical diseases, but also for our spiritual failings. We need healing of broken friendships, divided homes, fear-stricken minds. The world needs healing spiritually, socially, morally and physically. What then is the greatest healing power on earth? Many claim that faith is the greatest power to heal. Certainly faith is the greatest dynamic given to man, yet Scripture says, and now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13). Therefore love is even greater than faith. This love is not human sentiment, not natural friendship or even affection, but divine love, the love of God Himself in human hearts. It heals tormented minds and casts out every fear. It heals broken fellowship. It also heals sick bodies. We need to understand the motivation behind Gods redemptive work of Christ is divine love (Ephesians 5:2). Love was the cause of the incarnation. Love was the cause of the crucifixion. God could have destroyed us all for our sins, but because God loved us so much He was compelled to redeem us. It was divine love that paid the price for our redemption. (John 3:16) Trust me, you will never have greater confidence, more complete trust in your fellow brother, less anxiety for the future and more effective faith in the promises of God, if your life is motivated and directed by the indwelling love of God. The love of God is the greatest healing power on earth!

Prayer: Thank You God for Your amazing love. I pray that I may come to a greater understanding of that amazing love more and more each day. Teach me Jesus how to love like You have loved me so that I may see great things happen for Your glory, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: John #15

God Heals Today Five steps of faith that bring results Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24) Prayer, in the sense of communion with God, is a wonderful spiritual exercise. But what about getting answers to prayer? We read in Mark how Jesus speaks about desiring, praying, believing and receiving, yet we so often struggle with this. Here, then is a formula to help get results. Desire the first step is to desire a thing. Here we lay the foundations for successful praying and believing. (James 4:3) Pray here is the desire expressed in words. In words addressed to God (Philippians 4:6 7) Believe that you receive them here is our third step and this, for many, is the hardest step of all. It is right here that so many prayers break down and so many things desired are never received. We must believe, not only that God has heard our prayer but that we already have what we desire. (Hebrews 11:1) Shall have them this is a further step, the step of actually receiving and recognizing the tangible answer to another prayer. The thing desired, prayed for, believed for, is now an actual, literal possession. We must forgive Jesus then added a very important clause to this formula for answered prayer And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. (Mark 11:25)

Prayer: Father I pray that You give me the faith to trust and believe that when I place a desire before You that You hear me, and because You love me, You bless me with that which I desire, in Jesus name, amen. Scripture: Mark #11
