We, are a group of 6 students from MBA- J1 first semester, conducted an Industrial Visit Welcare Hospital at vyttila. We reached there at 9.00 am. Firstly we interacted with PRO Brijesh, till 9 to 10 am. He explained overall working of hospital and about various departments, facilities available 24 x 7 ICU, ambulance, pharmacy, lab etc. Then after 10 to 10.30 we visited finance department with PRO. Finally 10.30 to 12.30 we visited other departments like housekeeping, electrical maintenance, physiology, gynecology, neurology, labs, x-ray and Pharmacy. Medicines collected from Ranbaxy, Cipla, Reddis, Alkem, Roche, MMC..etc.

Welcare hospital, is the one of the largest multiplicity Hospital in cochin, Established in 2001. It has a capacity of about 160 beds, and they believes in healthy freedom. The group has built the tradition of providing high quality, affordable, 360-degree health care. Its leadership today can be attributed to many trailblazing medical achievements made possible by incessant learning and research. And in doing so, welcare hospital has become a part of the people of cochin and their moto is your health our concern.

GENERAL MEDICINE: General medicine is the branch of medicine that focuses on adult care. It refers to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the internal organs. A general medicine doctor may work with a patients heart, lungs and brain, among other organs. These doctors treat illnesses of internal organs with method other than surgery. PEDIATRICIAN: Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, and the age limit usually ranges from birth up to 18. A medical practitioner who specializes in this area is known as a pediatrician, or pediatrician. OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY: Obstetrics and gynecology are the two surgicalmedical specialties dealing with the female reproductive organs in their pregnant and non-pregnant state, respectively, and as such are often combined to form a single medical specialty and postgraduate training program me. This combined training prepares the practicing OB/GYN to be adept at the surgical management of the entire scope of clinical pathology involving female reproductive organs, and to provide care for both pregnant and non-pregnant patients. In veterinary medicine, theriogenology is the more commonly used term that also includes andrology.

ORTHOPEDICS: Orthopedics: the branch of medical science concerned with disorders or deformities of the spine and joints. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. ONCOLOGY: Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with cancer. A medical professional who practices oncology is an oncologist. ANESTHESIA: Anesthesia traditionally meant the condition of having sensation blocked or temporarily taken away. It is a pharmacologically induced and reversible state of amnesia, analgesia, loss of responsiveness, loss of muscle reflexes, decreased stress response, or all of these simultaneously. These effects can be obtained from a single drug which alone provides the correct combination of effects, or occasionally a combination of drugs. DERMATOLOGY: Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin and its diseases, a unique specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist takes care of diseases, in the widest sense, and some cosmetic problems of the skin, scalp, hair, and nails. OPHTHALMOLOGY: Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye. An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye problems. Since ophthalmologists perform operations on eyes, they are both surgical and medical specialists. ENT Otolaryngology or ENT (ear, nose, and throat) is the branch of medicine and surgery that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the head and neck. It is the oldest medical practice in the United States and nearly 50 percent of all office visits pertain to the ear, nose, and throat. PHYSICIAN Physicians specializing in otolaryngology are called otolaryngologists, and often treat children with persistent ear infections, hearing problems, cleft and other congenital abnormalities. Adult patients often seek treatment from an otolaryngologists for sinus infections, age-related hearing loss, and cancers of the head or neck regions. UROLOGY

Urology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary tract system and the male reproductive organs. The organs under the domain of urology include the kidneys, adrenal glands. CARDIOLOGY Cardiology is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the heart (specifically the human heart). The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology. Physicians who specialize in this field of medicine are called cardiologists. Physicians who specialize in cardiac surgery are called cardiac surgeons. PLASTIC SURGERY Plastic surgery is a medical specialty concerned with the "correction" or restoration of form and function. Though cosmetic or aesthetic surgery is the best-known kind of plastic surgery, most plastic surgery is not cosmetic; plastic surgery includes many types of reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns. ENDOCRINOLOGY Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine, its diseases, and its specific secretions called hormones, the integration of developmental events proliferation, growth, and differentiation (including histogenesis and organogenesis) and the coordination of metabolism, respiration, excretion, movement, reproduction, and sensory depend on chemical cues, substances synthesized and secreted by specialized cells. Endocrinology is concerned with study of the biosynthesis, storage, chemistry, biochemical and physiological function of hormones and with the cells of the endocrine glands and tissues that secrete them. NEUROLOGY Neurology is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists can opine on the subject matter of a psychiatrist. To be specific, neurology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of disease involving the central and peripheral nervous system; or equivalently, the autonomic nervous systems and the somatic nervous systems, including their coverings, blood vessels, and all effector tissue, such as muscle. PSYCHIATRY Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. These include various affective,behavioural, cognitive and perceptual abnormalities. The term was first coined by the German physician Johann Christian Reil in 1808, and literally means the 'medical treatment of the soul'. EMERGENCY SERVICES Emergency services and rescue services are organizations which ensure public safety and health by addressing different emergencies. Some of these agencies exist solely for addressing certain types of emergencies whilst others deal with ad hoc emergencies as part of their normal

responsibilities. Many of these agencies engage in community awareness and prevention programs to help the public avoid, detect, and report emergencies effectively. DIETITIAN Dietitians are experts in food and nutrition. They advise people on what to eat in order to lead a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health-related goal. They work in a variety of settings from clinical to community and public policy to media communications.

PHYSIOTHERAPY Physical therapy or physiotherapy is a health care profession primarily concerned with the remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention carried out by physical therapists.
