Proposed Adolescence Health and Youth Development Centre in Colombo, Sri Lanka

Site Justification

It is quite important that the proposed Sex Education Centre is situated in a non judgemental area where adolescence will be willing to go since discussing about the topic Sex has been perceived as a taboo for a long time. Thus, a place where more youth spend time would be the most appropriate site to build the Sex Education Centre.

Structural Appropriateness
Large column spans provide ample room to arrange interior spaces. Strong I-beam and column structure can withstand a large amount of traffic. The empty space around the building provides opportunity to expand the building.

Sun The length of the day does not vary substantially over the course of the year, staying within 32 minutes of 12 hours throughout. The shortest day is December 21 with 11:43 hours of daylight; the longest day is June 20 with 12:32 hours of daylight. Clouds The median cloud cover ranges from 39% (mostly clear) to 62% (partly cloudy). The sky is cloudiest on July 4 and clearest on February 22. The clearer part of the year begins around December 21. The cloudier part of the year begins around May 2.
