Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Mark 4v3-4
Pray for Besom recipients who feel trodden on by society, their family or situations there are far too many in York! Give thanks for churches in the North of York; pray their giving through the Besom would be effective. Pray for those who are oppressed due to mental health struggles pray for the freedom Jesus gives. Groups of Besom time givers go out to decorate houses Pray that this will bring transformation. Pray for encouragement and motivation in the church as it tries to work with those who've fallen by the wayside.

Seed fell on... The rocky ground. 27th October

Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed,...Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Mark 4v3 & 5-6
Pray for Besom recipients who have recently become unemployed and are struggling. Pray for Christians and Besom givers on the west side of York, that their attitude towards the poor would glorify God. Thank God for Besom skills givers who put up shelves, alter curtains and drive the van. Pray for those struggling with debt in York, that the gifts they receive via the Besom would be a blessing. Thank God for those who have recently come to faith, pray for encouragement and perseverance at this time.

Seed fell among the thorns & weeds 3rd November

Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. Mark 4v3 & 7
Pray for Besom recipients who are struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs and gambling. Give thanks for churches in the East of York, Pray that their giving would help those most in need. Thank God for the many professionals in York who make referrals to the Besom. Pray for things givers that their gifts would be exact answers to prayer for Besom recipients. Pray for recipients who feel choked by family problems and strife in the home.

Seed fell on... good soil. 10th November

Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed,... Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times. Mark 4v3 & 8
Thank God for Besom recipients who have come to faith in Jesus. Pray for churches in the South of York that they could harvest plenty of fruit. Pray for good role models for the families and individuals that the Besom meets for even more transformation. Thank God for those who give money through the Besom to make a difference. Pray for a multiplying of work with the poor in York, 30, 60 and 100 times in the churches.
