Storyboard for The Legend of Lukenduran: Just the Beginning 1.

An orphan, called Juventa, who lives in a small village called Dartington in the land of Trafara is cruelly thrown out of his orphanage at the age of 14 because there is no money to care for him at the orphanage. 2. He travels over to the town of Thorncrate and became a thief to earn some money so he could buy a house back in Dartington. 3. He joins a ring of thieves called The Red Circle and they plan to rob a house in the woods nearby where an old man who is extremely rich. 4. They plan their route and set off for the house and head into the forest. They follow the route given them by a scout and eventually find what they believe to be the mans house according to the description from the scout. 5. They go through with the plan, but realize that they have just broken into a powerful sorcerers house. But they realize too late, and the sorcerer cast a spell on all of them and causes them to fall unconscious. 6. Juventa wakes up in the sorcerers house and finds out that the rest of the thieves have disappeared. He looks round to see the sorcerer sitting in a chair looking at him. The sorcerer explains that he set up the capture of Juventa by sending one of his allies into the thief ring who suggested thieving from the sorcerers house and

gave the directions and description of the house to the ring. 7. The sorcerer also tells Juventa his name (Svilentus) and asks him to join him in the search for a rogue wizard called Zxilexi and says there will be a high reward for his efforts. Juventa accepts and they set out on their way towards a Dwarf city called Norgun. On the way Svilentus trains Juventa how to fight use some simple magic spells. 8. On the way to Norgun, they pass through The Serrated Fissure. Half way through it, they get ambushed by a pack of thieves. The thieves are in fact the group which attempted to raid Svilentus house. They realise who they are dealing and initiate plan 2. They detonate the explosives they set over the ridge of the fissure which triggers a rock slide. The fissure caves in and the rocks crumble into the narrow fissure. The thieves escape through a cave they tunnelled as an escape route and Juventa and Svilentus follow in pursuit. As they reach the cave entrance, the thieves detonate another explosive which causes the entrance to the tunnel collapse. 9. Svilentus uses his magic to clear the rubble that had already fallen and Juventa casts a weak spell to shield the two of them from the falling boulders. Juventa wants to follow the thieves but Svilentus tells him that it will take too long to clear all the rocks in their way and

so they continue on their way. After the fissure finishes, they are met by the site of the Dwarf city of Norgun, but the city has put up its defences and is set for war. Juventa and Svilentus enter the city and find out that they are preparing for war against an army of Schlitarn from a dwarf guard. The Schlitarn are a race of bull like beings which feed on the blood of others. They believe that they have sided with Zxilexi. The Schlitarn have been sighted in great numbers coming from the Barren Plains, but the Dwarves have yet to fight as their city is in the middle of a festival called Ore Harvest. This month celebrates the day when the dwarves first discovered metal from the earth and extracted it. 10. The Schlitarn have been sighted in great numbers coming from the Barren Plains, but the Dwarves have yet to fight as their city is in the middle of a festival called Ore Harvest. This month celebrates the day when the dwarves first discovered metal from the earth and extracted it. The festival still has a week to run and all their warriors are mining in the Bronze-Headed Mountains. They have sent a messenger to tell them to come back, but the Mountains are too far away and they will not get back in time. 11. Svilentus beckons for Juventa and him to move on and they travel through the city towards a weatherworn rock hut and go inside. Once they enter, a group of 5 dwarves gather around them, greeting them. Svilentus

greets them back and introduces Juventa. The five dwarves each introduce themselves too. Their names are Murful, Norunt, Vintro, Drostle and Knumatar. They settle around a small table and while drostle prepares a meal. Svilentus explains that the five dwarves they are with are going to help them on their quest. Then the dwarves tell Juventa that they have been waiting for Svilentus to come for twenty years and they never knew why they had to wait so long. They present Juventa with a dwarven sword called Brightfire and a bronze chest plate. Both are very heavy but the dwarves have tried to make them as light as possible. 12. The meal is cooked and the seven of them eat the delicious grub prepared for them by Drostle. Then they begin to speak of what lies ahead. Svilentus has decided that him and Juventa will stay and protect the city from the Schlitarn, and after the city is safe, the seven of them will head towards the far east, picking up recruits from the pixie city of Farpell and then from the elvin city of Brilnta. Then they shall travel south west, past the boarder of the Darklands towards the citys of the Chilflax. 13. The next day, Juventa and Svilentus explore the city while the dwarves mine in the catacombs of the city. They find themselves walking into a temple. They soon realize they have wondered into the temple of the dwarven ancestors as there are many dwarves praying

to the gravestones of their ancestors. They quickly hurry out and continue on their way. A dwarf comes running up to them, telling them to come with him to the Palace. Svilentus and Juventa follow him through the city and into the Palace. They go into the central chamber and see the Dwarf King Mortminor the third sitting in his stone throne looking worried. He tells them that the Schlitarn are gathering their warriors just over the peak of the Stone Hill. He says they will be ready for war in about two days. They need Juventa and Svilentus to start gathering up the warriors and preparing them for battle. The two of them leave the temple and go in search of the five dwarves. They reach the entrance to the catacombs just as the five dwarves come running out. They tell them that the Schlitarn are in the catacombs and are slaughtering all the dwarves down there. Suddenly, a whole wave of dwarves start rushing outwards, some wounded and some carrying the dead. 14. The seven of them then hurry back to the hut and get their fitting gear strapped on. The dwarves give Juventa another gift. A necklace they found in the catacombs. It has a red ruby for a centre and glows with a strange light. He puts it around his neck and they all pour out of the hut towards the Palace. 15. Already, a fair few Schlitarn have come out of the catacombs and many more are rushing over the bank of Stone Hill. The King is trying to fend off a group of

Schlitarn and so the seven of them go and help him out. Once he is free, he thanks them and tells them to split up. The five dwarves go with him to face the Schlitarn coming over the hill while Juventa and Svilentus go and stop them coming from the catacombs. 16. They split up and they creep into the dark tunnels. A lot of dead bodies lie around. They go on deeper; killing any Schlitarn they come across and find that there is an exit which opens up to the Barren Plains which was concealed behind a wall. They creep out of the entrance and see a Schlitarn army of thousands piling up for miles. The two of them keep out of site and head back through the tunnels to warn the King. On the way, they meet a cloaked figure holding a sword as black as darkness itself backwards. He tells them that Zxilexi has sent him to kill them. 17. Juventa rushes at his foe engaging him in combat, but quickly gets overcome and is cast aside, hitting the walls of the catacombs. Svilentus challenges him and manages to hold him off long enough for Juventa to get away. Svilentus then casts a spell which transports him short distances and meets up with Juventa at the entrance. They hurry onwards, in search of the King. 18. They find him and one of the last groups of resisting dwarves surrounded by a flood of Schlitarn. The two of them join the fight and attempt to help the group in the middle. Svilentus teleports the two of them

into the ring of dwarves. The 5 dwarves and their King are trying to defeat a large group of Schlitarn but Svilentus tells them that he and Juventa will teleport them back to the main city if they just join hands. The dwarves are reluctant to comply but join hands while defending themselves. 19. Svilentus and Juventa begin to cast the spell when a horn sounds from the direction of the Bronze Peaked Mountains. They stop casting the spell and turn towards the noise. Suddenly, a flood of dwarves appear over the side of the mountain and head towards the city. The King recognises them as dwarf warriors. His warriors are back. 20. The dwarves cheer for the return of their friends and begin to fight even harder. But over the Stone Hill, the cloaked figure appears again on a black dragon and begins to head toward the returning dwarves. The dwarves begin firing arrows at the dragon and its rider, but the strong magic of the cloaked figure protects it from physical damage. The King tells them that the cloaked figure is Zxilexis apprentice. He is a very strong swordsman and sorcerer. A large group of dwarves try their hardest to hold off the dragon while the main group make their way towards the city. 21. Svilentus tells the King and Juventa that he is going to go and fight the dragon and its riders. He teleports away from the group and appears on the mountain side.

22. The dwarves eventually reach the city and they begin to hack away the dwindling numbers of Schlitarn. Meanwhile, Svilentus and the rider are engaged in magical combat. Juventa and the King help the surrounded group of dwarves manage to merge with the arriving army and begin to push the remaining Schlitarn over stone hill. 23. As the last Schlitarn retreat back away through the barren plains, Svilentus manages to slay the dragon and the rider teleports in freefall back to his masters hideaway. 24. The dwarves celebrate victory that evening while Svilentus, Juventa and the five dwarves prepare for their long journey ahead of them. 25. The next day, the seven of them headed towards the Palace to see the King. When they arrived, the King was seated in his throne once again. He thanked them for saving his city and said that he would spread the word to all dwarf cities of what had happened and that they would be welcome in any dwarf settlement they went to. He would also try and spread the word to as many people as possible that the Schlitarn have commenced war on the rest of Trafara. 26. The seven adventurers set off on their journey, heading east towards Farpell. They pass first through the stone graveyard. This is where all the sculptures and rock exploits the dwarves abandoned are sent for scrap.

The seven of them keep to the shadows as to avoid any confrontations with remaining Schlitarn. They reach a clearing where a pile of rubble. Svilentus says that a path of destruction this big could not have been created by any small beings and at that exact moment, a troll bursts through the pile of rocks spraying shrapnel everywhere. One of them hits Svilentus in the chests, piercing the skin and drawing blood. Juventa tries to attack the troll, but is knocked back hard by the troll. One of his ribs cracks and he is too weak to heal it. The dwarves attempt to hack the troll with their battleaxes, but the troll is too powerful beats them away with ease. All seven of them begin to fall unconscious as the troll advances upon them but at the last moment before he falls unconscious, he sees a hooded figure approach them. 27. Juventa wakes up to find himself strapped into a chair in a torture chamber. Zxilexis apprentice stands over him. He tells Juventa that the others are captive and will not be harmed if Juventa answers his questions. He asks first what the seven of them were doing so far away from their land. Juventa does not tell him and so the hooded figure draws his sword. He asks again but gets no answer and so he cuts Juventas arm in the shape of a skull and the pain surges through Juventa making him vomit, sweat and shake. He asks again but Juventa does not reply. This time, the hooded man puts

a spell on Juventas wound. Juventa feels a sensation like his blood is boiling spreading through his body from his wound. 28. The hooded figure asks again and Juventa cracks. He tells the man that they were hunting down Zxilexi and that they were there to kill him. The hooded figure accepts the information without any reaction and then poses a question. He asks Juventa who he is. Juventa, knowing the pain he can cause, says his name to the figure. At the mention of Juventas name, the hooded figure flinches and pays more attention to what Juventa just said. He asks where he came from. Juventa says an orphanage. This seems to appeal to the figure as he begins to laugh very evilly. He un-straps Juventa from the chair, paralyzes him and tells him to hold on to the hooded figure. The hooded figure teleports them to a very faraway place as Juventa finds himself in a hall made of black stone. 29. At the end of the hall, a stone throne sits and on either side of it stands two brackets which are lit. An old man sits on the throne with a long black beard which seems to move in the light. His face is covered by a black hood as he wears a black robe. He turns his eyes up to look at them and they are bright red. He gets up out of the throne and walks towards them. He asks his apprentice why he has bought him Juventa. Juventa realises that this person must be Zxilexi. His apprentice

tells him that he is his masters son. This shocks Juventa right to his soul and asks if it is true. Zxilexi looks at him and sees some resemblance and says yes. 30. Juventa feels a pit in his heart as Zxilexi starts to laugh. He then says to his apprentice that he can finally complete the ritual. Juventa does not understand and asks what the ritual is, but Zxilexi just ignores him and tells his apprentice to lock him in a cell. His apprentice escorts Juventa to a cell and locks him in. He then walks off back to see his master. Juventa tries to use his magic to break out of the prison but realises that they have cast a spell on it stopping any other people using magic. He is trapped in a cell which he has no idea where it is. He is trapped and at the mercy of Zxilexi. 31. Svilentus wakes up from the rest he was enjoying as someone opens the cell door. Zxilexis apprentice enters and asks if he is okay and has healed. Svilentus says yes and sits up to listen to what he has to say. The apprentice asks why he bought Juventa with him to see his father. Svilentus realises Juventa told him and tries to get up but is paralyzed by the hooded figures spell. Svilentus asks who Zxilexis apprentice really is. The hooded man says that he is part of Juventas past and future and that soon, their destinies will bond together forever. Svilentus does not understand and pursues the question but no answer is given in return. Svilentus is left dumb struck on the bed.

32. The hooded man talks to the main guard of his castle called Castle Dreadnight. He tells him that he will be away for a few days and asks them to guard the castle like a fortress. The guard agrees and calls for his men to get into a great defensive position and prepare for a siege. The hooded man then disappears into the night. 33. The dwarf king, Mortminor, is being escorted by a group of his soldiers to another dwarf city over in the east. He is travelling through the stone graveyard when he notices a load of rocks strewn across the ground and great pools of blood in some places. He also discovers the dwarven sword which he personally gave to the five dwarves to give to Juventa under the cliff face with blood on it. He calls out to see if anyone is around and an old dwarf appears from a shelter made of old statues. The King asks what has happened here and the dwarf says that two men and five dwarves were taken by surprise by a group of trolls and were all knocked out and then a hooded figure made him and made them disappear off in an explosion of black smoke. 34. Mortminor thanks him and gives ten gold svarens (the Trafaran currency) for his information. He and his group of men then head back to Norgun and send a messenger to where they were travelling to tell them that they arent coming.

35. Mortminor reaches Norgun again and starts to send spies around to try and find out where the hooded man and the Schlitarn dwell. They return with the information that they are stationed at a castle in the centre of the Barren Plains called Castle Dreadnight.
