This material data sheet shall be read in conjunction with the referenced standards and documents and specifies the selected options in the referenced standards and additional requirements which shall be added or supersede the corresponding requirements in the referenced standards. In cases which the revision of referenced standards has not indicated, the latest revision of the referenced standards shall be used with this datasheet. This datasheet is applicable to plates in the thickness range 5mm 40mm KHG3-24-ME-SP-5812 Hot rolled flat plate specification KHG3-24-ME-SP-5813Prefabrication Specification KHG3-24-ME-LI-5280 Bill of Material for Plates BS EN 10204: 2005 Type: 3.2

REFERENCE DOCUMENTS(necessary for internal document) CERTIFICATION SUPPLY CONDITIONS PRODUCTION ROUTE

All plates shall be supplied in the normalized condition. Steel plates covered by this datasheet shall be made using the basic oxygen or electric arc process, fully killed, low hydrogen content and calcium treated for slag shape control. All plates shall be manufactured using a continuous casting method. Plates produced from hot rolled coil, i.e. from coils produced before, are not acceptable. Plates shall be directly produced from slab. Steel production process shall not be significantly varied during the production. The molten steel shall undergo the following treatments: -Deoxidization treatment -Use deoxidizer or desulfurizing reagent to wipe the oxygen andSulfuroff, and control the inclusion and inclusion shape by feedingcalcium mixed with silicon and aluminumfeeding. Argon purging duringpreparation to reduce soluble gas and inclusion amount. -To assure the quality of slab the whole process of steelmaking is under protection by covering , shroud and SEN. -Segregation control shall be done via sulphur print examination once through each 5 heat as per ASTM E 1180 All materials shall be marked in accordance with EN 10028-3 and specification KHG3-24-ME-SP5812. All material shall be identified by hard stamping with low stress dies except for plates 6.4mm and less where all permanent marks shall be stenciled. The chemical analysis of ladle shall be in accordance with the following(individual values are maximum): Element Ladle Analysis (Wt %) Element Ladle Analysis (Wt %) Carbon (C) Manganese (Mn) Silicon (Si) Sulphur (S) Phosphorous (P) Chromium (Cr) Molybdenum (Mo) Boron 0.13 0.18 1.10 1.30 0.20 0.40 0.010 0.020 0.07 0.02 0.0005 Nickel (Ni) Copper (Cu) Vanadium (V) Niobium (Nb) Aluminum (Al) Nitrogen (N2) Titanium (Ti) 0.07 0.07 0.01-0.03 0.03-0.05 0.02 - 0.07 0.120ppm 0.02

Ti + Nb+V shall not exceed 0.12% Ni + Cr + Cu + Mo shall not exceed 1.00% Cr + Mo+Cu shall not exceed 0.45% If only Aluminum is used for Nitrogen binding, a ratio Al/N 2 shall apply.

Carbon Equivalent (CEV) on product analyze shall be limited to 0.42 maximum in accordance with the following formula: CEV =C+Mn/6+ (Cr+Mo+V)/5+(Ni+Cu)/15 All heats and products (plates) shall be analyzed to determine compliance of chemical composition with P355NL2 and this datasheet.

TEST COUPONS

Test coupons shall be taken from the finished plate in accordance with the requirements of this specification and ASTM A 20 and shall be simulated post weld heat treatment at 64010 C for 1 hour holding time per each 25mm thickness. Ferrite grain size of ASTM 8 or finer for each plate shall be guaranteed ACCORDANCE ASTM E112. Mechanical tests shall be in accordance with EN 10002 specification and the following: Each mother plate shall be tested for Tensile strength, Yield strength, Elongation and Impact toughness. The values recorded shall meet the following: Tensile test Properties: Tensile Strength(Rm) Minimum Yield Strength(ReH) Minimum Elongation After Fracture(8 Gauge Length) Impact Test Properties: =485 620 MPa = 290MPa = 30%

MECHANICAL

Three Charpy V Notch-Type A Specimen shall be prepared and test shall be carried out in accordance with ASTM A20 and ASTM A370 and the acceptance criteria shall be :

Requirements per plate 60 Joules minimum average (3 specimens) 40 Joules minimum individual

All impact tests shall be carried out in the Transverse direction. Impact test temperature shall be -20C.

For material thickness less than 10mm, sub size specimens are to be used. The minimum impact values stated in this specification for sub size specimen shall be multiplied by the following factors: 1.0 for 10mm x 10mm (standard) test specimen 0.83 for 10mm x 7.5mm test specimen 0.67 for 10mm x 5mm test specimen If one of the individual or the average value failed to meet the requirements of this datasheet, one set of specimen shall be extracted and retest shall be carried out. The results then are acceptable if all of the below items are met: -The mean value of six test results shall be equal or greater than the minimum specified average value. -Any of the three individual retest values shall not be less than the minimum specified individual value. -Not more than one of the six individual values shall be less than 75% of the minimum specified individual value. Hardness Test Properties: Hardness testing shall be done at least once for each thickness produced through every individual heat. Hardness of any individual point of plates shall not exceed 170 HV10. Other Properties: All other properties which have not indicated in this datasheet shall comply ASTM A 20 and ASTM A 516

NON DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATION

Ultrasonic Examination: All tank plates shall be ultrasonically examined in accordance with EN 10160:1999 except plates with nominal thickness less than 6mm which have to be tested according to the manufacturer's written and approved procedure. Zone width for all plates' edges shall be considered 100mm. Acceptance criterion for plates is S3E4. Additionally, all annular plates shall be 100% ultrasonically examined for acceptance criterion of E4. Visual Examination: All plates shall be visually inspected for both sides and all edges according to BS EN 10163-2:1991 Class B Subclass 3. Any area with a remaining thickness less than specified minimum thickness is not acceptable.

TOLERANCE

The following tolerances shall be used as applicable: Thickness tolerances : EN 10029, Table 1, Class C Width tolerances : EN 10029, Table 2 Length tolerances : EN 10029, Table 3 Flatness : EN 10029, Table 5, Class N The edge camber and out-of-squareness of plate shall be limited so that it is possible to inscribe a rectangle with the dimensions of the ordered plate within the delivered size. Additionally, edge camber shall be limited to 0.2% of the actual length of the plate and out-of-squareness to 1% of the actual width of the plate. Excess mass shall be within the range of EN 10029 for the thickness tolerance class C.
