BenBecause we have hundreds of books - we have too many books and we dont have enough space to put them. MarinaAnd, have you got an idea? PART 2 MarinaWhat else would you like to do, Ben? BenWell, I think we could make some changes in the kitchen. For example, I think we could buy some new chairs for when people come to have dinner with us. MarinaYou are right, these chairs are very old. BenYes, they are very old. And I would also like to throw more things away. We have MarinaThrow away or recycle? BenAh! OK! You are right, recycling is better than throwing away. Id like to recycle a lot of glass, weve got a lot of old glasses and cups that we could recycle. And you Marina, have you got any more ideas? MarinaId like to choose photos from the holidays and hang them on the walls. BenWhenever we go on holiday I always take lots of photos, but later, when we get home, we never hang the photos on the walls. MarinaMhmm. Im going to go and buy some frames. BenGood idea. Well, finally, I think we could clean our roof terrace a bit. MarinaYes, it has too many plants and not enough flowers. BenWell, were going to buy more flowers, OK? MarinaGreat. 5. Cool Spanish!
Bossy boots! Whenever Marina and Ben make changes to the house, sooner of later someone starts bossing the other one around and things get pretty heated! The first phrase that tends to come flying out is Eres un mandn! (Marina to Ben) or Eres una mandona! (Ben to Marina), meaning Your are very bossy! You can also say someone else is really bossy, in this case Juan, like this: Juan es ms mandn! - Juan is so bossy! At school you are likely to hear kids using a slightly different version: Luca es una marimandona! Lucy is a bossy boots!
