may be formed during combustion.
SECTION VI – HEALTH HAZARD DATA
The health effects noted below are consistent with requirements under the OSHA Hazard
Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
Eye Contact - Based on product testing, liquid is severely irritating to the eyes.
Skin Contact- Based on product testing, liquid is slightly irritating to skin.
Inhalation - Not expected to be a relevant route of exposure. However, high vapor or aerosol
mist concentrations may be irritating to the nose, throat and upper respiratory
tract.
Ingestion - Based on product testing, liquid is moderately toxic by ingestion.
Symptoms - Skin & eye irritation.
Aggravated Medical Conditions - Preexisting skin and eye disorders may be aggravated by
exposure to this product.
Other Health Effects - None. For a Spanish translation of this MSDS call
1/800-240-MSDS.
FIRST AID INFORMATION:
Eye Contact - Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while holding
eyelids open. Get medical attention.
Skin Contact: Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing
contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention. Do not reuse clothing or shoes until
thoroughly cleaned.
Inhalation: Remove victim too fresh air and provide oxygen if breathing is difficult. Get medical
attention.
Ingestion: Do not give liquids if victim is unconscious or very drowsy. Otherwise, give no more
than 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting by giving 30cc (2 tablespoons) syrup of
Ipecac.* If Ipecac is unavailable, give 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting by touching finger
to back of victim’s throat. Keep victim’s head below hips while vomiting. Get medical attention.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: *If victim is a child, give no more than 1 glass of water and 15 cc (1
tablespoon) syrup of Ipecac. If symptoms such as loss of gag reflex, convulsions or
unconsciousness occur before emesis, gastric lavage should be considered following intubation
with a cuffed endotracheal tube.

SECTION VIII – SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
Respiratory Protection – Use a NIOSH-approved respirator as required to prevent overexposure.
In accord with 29 CFR 1910.134, use either atmosphere supplying or air purifying respirator for
organic vapors. For EO: If occupational exposure may or does exceed 1 PPM, respirator is
required. Use a NIOSH-approved atmosphere supplying, full-facepiece respirator in pressure
demand mode for >50 PPM. NIOSH has approved a full facepiece canister respirator with an
end-of-service life indicator for <50 PPM.
Protective Clothing: Avoid contact with eyes. Wear chemical goggles if there is likelihood of
contact with eyes. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Wear chemical resistant gloves and
protective clothing. Additional Protective Measures: Use ventilation as required to control vapor
concentrations.
SECTION IX – SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Use of nitrogen blanketing will minimize the potential for ethoxylate oxidation. Overheating of
an ethoxylate stored under air should be avoided. When an ethoxylate is vigorously mixed in the
presence of air or oxygen at temperatures >325° F, it can undergo exothermic oxidative
degradation. Store in a cool dry place with adequate ventilation. Caution—irritant. Minimize
bodily contact with material. Wash with soap and water before eating, drinking, smoking, or
using toilet facilities. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse.
SECTION X – REGULATORY INFORMATION
This product is listed on the EPA/TSCA Inventory of Chemical Substances. Protection of
stratospheric ozone (pursuant to Section 611 of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990): Per 40
CFR Part 82, this product does not contain nor was it directly manufactured with any Class I or
Class II ozone depleting substances. In accordance with Sara Title III, Section 313, the attached
environmental data sheet (EDS) should always be copied and sent with the MSDS.
