Chapter Head Application

(DUE 11:59 PM, APRIL 8th, 2013) Dear ACIIC Chapter Head Applicant, We are very pleased that you are interested in pursuing the Chapter Head position at the Association of Canadian Intercollegiate Investment Clubs. It is through your hard work and perseverance that the organization will succeed in uniting the worlds best student-run investment organizations. The Chapter Head position has the following responsibilities: Managing your university chapter on a day-to-day level Liaising with other Chapter Heads and ACIIC executives Participating in strategic decision-making with Co-Presidents Managing analysts and ensuring proper functioning of the analyst program Participating in weekly conference calls with Co-Presidents Selecting a group of 4-6 analysts from your university to become ACIICs first analyst class Pursuing opportunities with potential partners and sponsors Coordinating travel arrangements to conferences and events with Head of Operations Aiding in assessing analyst performance Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strategic thinker Creative, passionate and trustworthy advisor Exceptional leadership capability Effective communicator Strong organizational skills and ability to execute on strategic goals If selected as a Chapter Head, you have the additional opportunity to apply for one of the following two positions (responsibilities posted below each): Head of Sponsorship Contacting potential sponsors and partners for ACIIC conferences and events Developing sponsorship packages to distribute to potential speakers Liaising with sponsors regarding attendance at ACIIC conferences and events Coordinating sponsorship payment amounts and timing of deliveries Ensuring that conferences and events are fully funded

Head of Operations Organizing ACIIC activities for conferences and events Booking accommodations, conference spaces, food and other venues for conferences and events Contacting speakers and ACIIC Alumni for participation in ACIIC conferences and events Organizing conference materials (i.e. gifts for speakers, materials for attendees, etc) Managing and organizing ACIICs finances and budget for the year In order for us to gauge your suitability for the Chapter Head position and the above two positions, we ask that you think carefully about the following questions, and answer them within the word limit. We will use these questions to screen for interview candidates, and the interviews will take place in early to mid-April either in person or over Skype.
