Dear All, It was and has been ups and downs for me and my family for the past

7 weeks. My youngest Meng Tze has been trying to contribute her worth in Denso Malaysia ever since she joined the company 17 years ago .She always says if you enjoy your wo rk , it is not a job but a joy. She also involved in Toastmaster Club where she was elected and held as president for the past 1 year. Recently my sister has su ffered some headache, being young and active she did not take it seriously. To c ut the long story short, on Friday, 11th January, she had her CTscan and MRA don e on her brain by the neurologist, Datuk Dr Loh in Subang Hosp, which revealed sh e had some blood ruptured on the right side of her brain. The result called for instant attention for a neurosurgeon to perform brain angiogram to decide the be st cause of action to stop the leak. As family, we are in shock and in deep conc ern. Still we found a very good and experienced neurosurgeon Dr Lee FC from anot her nearby Hosp,Sunway Hosp. As time is the critical factor, with the understand ing and approval of Denso HR GM,Enck Mahdzim (Mengtze went to Subang Hop with De nso letter of guarantee),we managed to transfer my sister to Sunway Hosp n Sunda y, 14th January and had Dr Lee and his team to do angiogram and later decided to perform brain coiling procedure/operation which was successful to repair the le aks on Monday morning (15th January 2013). Meng Tze illness is called Cerebral Haemorage Aneurysm, which is balloning of th e a blood vessel in the brain due to weakness in the wall of the vessel and rais ed blood pressure. The ballon has ruptured, causing "shaking of the hands" and d izziness. Fortunately, the rupture is not big and there was not much leakage of blood. The neurosurgeon inserted a platinum coil through a catheter in the groin , and filled the ballon tightly. He used the the brain coiling procedure wnich wa s simpler than the cliping operation. The blood vessel will eventually sealed th e entrance of the ballon, preventing any further thinning or rupture. She need t o rest about 2 to 3 weeks before going back to work. I stayed in the hospital fo r 3 days until Friday, 18th January to accompany her. Except for her high blood pressure measure which could be 170/120, Meng tze was progressing very good. He r doctor even said if her blood pressure could be down a bit more ,she could be going home on Friday. On Friday, 18th January, my sister got discharged. She was anxious about everything hence, we advise her just don't be too anxious about a nything (she read the sport page of the newspaper, she. got excited as you know she is a died hard football fan of Chelsea). She is currently slept in our paren ts room (Queen size bed) with air-corn. Since back home after 18th last month, My sister has improved and recuperate wel l . She eats, rests, read, writes and drives adequately . Even, her blood pressure is normal(with the aid of medicine). In other word, physically my sister is doi ng fine. Spiritually she is yet to learn how to manage her time and mind effecti vely.We keep on telling her to view this illness as blessing in disguise. An ear ly warning to readjust her work life balance .She was been given hospital leave till 3rd Februarythis month. Then on her 1st follow-up visit, a brain MRA scan was done on my sister, after examine the scan report, the neurosurgeon extended her leave to 2 more weeks in order not to affect her pace of steady recovery. He r company, does not have flexible work practice. If she goes back to work, she is expected to give full day performance. A 2nd follow-up visit was scheduled. On 2 1st February follow up visit, the neurosurge scheduled a third brain scan (MRA) and angiogram to be done end of this month, 28th February to certify her full re covery. We as family do admit my sister's current health is a big shock to us. Except fo r occasional cold and soft throat over the years, she seldom fell sick.(her Denso medical record will support it) Hopefully, after her full recovery (her doctor is very positive she will be as she is still young and has no heart or physical sickness), she will learn to manage her work life balance if she does not want t o experience the same illness again. Meanwhile with rest and good doctor care, w e are looking forward to her's swift recovery. There is a time for everything, t ime to work, time to rest: time to weep and time to laugh. time to build, time to slow down. However we try not to burden her with advices. Meanwhile, with the C

hinese new year come and go (10th is the first day of new year). my sister's day s are happy and unhappy, peaceful , impatient ,restful and anxious. All conflic t emotions. The standard symptom of post-procedure blues. But this is life, and it is in the time of trial and adversity ,we build up our faith and strength .So metime, He will turn trials to triumph. Meanwhile,we turn to God for comfort and assurance. Please continue to uphold my sister MengTze in your daily prayer and devotion. Will keep you update on the latest development. Take Care. God Bless and c u all on Friday Choir Practice @ 8:30pm and Sunday Ea ster Choir Practice @ 3pm Rgds Angeline Lee
