It is unlawful for a person within the city limits of Rexburg, Idaho, to stand, obstruct, place or cause to be placed, any obstruction or to cause any object to be thrown or placed upon any street or sidewalk in such a manner as to render travel upon the public streets, sidewalks, parking lots or public places of Rexburg, Idaho, hazardous, dangerous, frightening or annoying to any pedestrian or traveler. (Ord. 639 2, 1981)
The Madison County Administration Building is located on Main Street. Madison County was named after the fourth president of the United States, James Madison.
Any pedestrian who crosses, or attempts to cross a public roadway at any point other than a designated crossing, within the City of Rexburg, shall be guilty of an infraction. (Ord. 867 3, 2002).

The park offers a variety of features, including the jewel of the park, the historic Idaho Centennial Carousel. In 2005 a new walking path was added around the park and during the summer of 2006 the Splash Park Project was completed.

CITY FEATURES
PARKS Smith Park is on Main Street between the courthouse and the hospital. Porter Park is on West Second South, one block past the stadium corner of BYU-Idaho. Nature Park is located on the northwest side of town off of West Fourth North Street. GROCERY STORES Residents can find groceries at Albertsons, Walmart, Broulims and Super Savers. These are located on Main Street, North Second South and Yellowstone Highway. HOSPITAL The Madison Memorial Hospital is located at the end of East Main Street just past Smith Park. CITY ADMINISTRATION Residents can get marriage licenses, parking permits and building permits at the Madison County Administration Building. Residents who want to appeal tickets they receive can do so at the Madison County Courthouse across the street. Go to www.rexburg.org for more information. SHERIFF The Rexburg Police Department is located at 25 Main Street and can be reached at 208-359-3009. ENTERTAINMENT Rexburg has various movie theaters and recreation centers that include activities like miniature golf and laser tag.
