My HOBBY Ladies and gentleman: Do you have any hobbies? If not , what do you do in the holidays?

I have many hobbies such as reading, traveling, surfing on the internet, and watching television. But reading is my favourite hobby. When I was young ,my mother used to tell me a story before I went to bed .The stories were so interesting that Ialways felt they werent enough. So I began to read books by myself. I always lose myself in the interesting stories. I enjoy reading books very much, because books introduce me to a new world, which is colourful and without time and space limit. In the past years, most of my knowledge has been obtained from books.Books can also teach me how to be a good person.Books even can solve many problems for me.I will read more good books to improve myself. Reading has become part of my life. Every day, I spend some time reading books, newspapers and magazines. I love reading. I have great fun in reading. What about you? What is your hobby? Let's share each other Thank you.

My last choice of my favorite hobbies is reading books. I like to read books when I feel like it or when I have assignments. I like reading books that are comedy, mystery, or scary. Reading books that are comedy is fun for me because it makes me laugh. Mystery books leave you wondering. Scary books terrify you and sometimes dont make you sleep at night. Reading books at home warms up your brain for school, and makes your reading better. I like hearing or reading stories of any kind. No matter if the story is fantasy or real, I would probably like it. This is my last reason of why I like doing this hobby, reading.

My hobby is reading. I like to read storybooks. I can learn about people, animals, birds etc. I have a small library. There are many books on fairytales, historical books and adventures. Good books make our minds good. So, we have to choose good books. I read good books too. I like to read Little Red Riding Hood. It gave me great pleasure and I like to read it once again.

SAFETY

Don't give out information about yourself like your last name, your phone number, where you live, or where you go to school - without asking your parents first. Never e-mail a picture of yourself to strangers. If somebody says something to you, sends you something, or you see something that makes you uncomfortable, don't look around or explore; get your parents instead - they know what to do. Making plans to meet your Internet buddies in real life is usually a really bad idea - how people are in real life can be very different from how they are online. If you decide to do it anyway, have your Mom or Dad help make the plans and go with you. Don't open up e-mails, files, or Web pages that you get from people you don't really know or trust. Don't ever give out your password, except to responsible adults in your family. Always follow your family's rules for the Internet - they're there to make sure you have fun and stay safe online. Don't ever do anything that could cost your family money unless your parents are there to help you do it.

I KNOW my name, address, telephone number, and my parents' names. I always CHECK FIRST with my parents or the person in charge. I tell them before I go anywhere or get into a car, even with someone I know. I always CHECK FIRST with my parents or a trusted adult before I accept anything from anyone, even from someone I know. I always TAKE A FRIEND with me when I go places or play outside. I SAY NO if someone tries to touch me or treat me in a way that makes me feel scared, uncomfortable, or confused.

It's OK to SAY NO, and I KNOW that there will always be someone who can help me. I KNOW that I can TELL my parents or a trusted adult if I feel scared, uncomfortable, or confused. I am STRONG, SMART, and have the right to be SAFE.

Always TAKE A FRIEND when walking or riding your bike to and from school. Stay with a group while waiting at the bus stop. It's safer and more fun to be with your friends. f an adult approaches you for help or directions, remember grownups needing help should not ask children for help; they should ask other adults. Trust your feelings. If someone makes you feel scared or uncomfortable, get away as fast as you can and TELL a trusted adult.

My Ambition

Each of us has our own ambition which we hope to realize one day. One can wish to wish to become a doctor, a nurse or even a policeman. All of us hope to be a somebody in future. For me, I just want to educate the next generation. My ambition is to be a teacher. My teacher, Mr. Leow, who is in his late thirties, is a new teacher. He inspires me to work hard. He does not put us down and is very dedicated and patient. He always finds ways to motivate us to work very hard. He promised to bring us to Snow City if we work hard Being a teacher is a rewarding career. I would like to share my knowledge with the students. I hope the students will my guidance. I want to study hard and read widely in order to teach well. I hope to be able to offer assistance wherever my students need help. With my determination to work hard, I hope my ambition can be realised one day.

When I was a little girl, I love to role play as a teacher to my little brother & sister. I would be reading to them & teaching them. Even as a teenager, I still loved to share the Enid Blytons novels I was reading in a car during the 10 hour journey from Ampang to Kedai Mulung, Kelantan. But my umi always wants me to be a doctor. So she has ingrained me with the idea of wanting to be a doctor. Every year, I would tell my class teacher that my ambitions were to be a doctor, teacher & an air stewardess. Thats why I chose the science stream after PMR & I was very frustrated with my science subjects in my SPM results. I was not eligible to apply for medical school. I dont know what else to apply in UPU form (for university). I wasnt interested in any diploma courses, not LawsI was totally lost. Until one day umi asked me to meet our neighbour in Ampang. Shes an English teacher, graduated from UK (that the reason why I agreed to see her with umi). She told me about TESL program & managed to get me interested in TESL. So I went back & fill up the UPU form I applied for TESL under KPM (Ministry of Education), TESL UPM, USM, MU all TESL programs in all public universities. I decided I was going to be an English teacher thats my (actually my mums) new ambition. I thought I am over with wanting to be a doctor. But yesterday, I was attending a briefing on MOSTI research grant at DK 4, Pusat Pengajian Sains Perubatan, USM Kubang Kerian, I suddenly thought about my ambition to be a doctor. When I parked my car and stood in front of the Main lecture hall (Dewan Kuliah Utama), I was speechless. I went inside. The briefing was supposed to be at Dewan Kuliah 4. As I walked along the corridors, looking at students, passed the library, I felt I was 19 again. A second year medic student. I felt a strong urge to be in one of the lecture halls that I actually opened the door of DK 3, I really wanted to walk inside the hall & listened to the lecture. I really want to study medicine. During the lunch break, I went to other lecture halls, in case there are classes I can sneak in. I stood outside the hall, sat on a bench and cried. God, at this age, I have my doctorate.whats more Im asking for? Allah has planned well for me & took me here to feel what its like to be a medic student. I should be grateful I am not a medical doctor. I dont think I can take the pressure of working as a doctor.

Ive enjoyed my training as a TESL student so much, I love most of my classes and now I enjoy my job. I enjoy teaching, interacting with students I dont think I would have the same enjoyment if I were a medical doctor. Thats why I cried. Many times we dont get what we want, thats because God knows whats good for us.
