DON'T GO BACKWARDS

Jeremiah 7:24: But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. Brethern I write this much needed article at a very important time in Church History. We must press forward and NOT go backwards. As the children of GOD, we must be always willing and wanting to mature to grow in the Word of God. This along with wisdom and understanding of the LORD GOD, and His Will. We should grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. He that endures unto the end, the same shall be saved. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Remember to always trust in the Lord and lean not to your own understanding, and then he will direct your way. Never give up. Go forward. Here are some scriptures for your edification. God bless you as you read on. So with all of this foresaid, Let's take a look in GODS Own Words: 1 Samuel 4:18 And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years. Psalm 40:14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. Psalm 70:2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. Isaiah 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. Isaiah 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Isaiah 44:25 That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men

backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; Jeremiah 7:24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. Jeremiah 15:6 Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting. Lamentations 1:8 Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward. John 18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Every time in the Bible that someone went backward, it was because they were NOT in the Will of GOD! Notice people who were in the Will of GOD bowed their head to the ground face down forward: Genesis 17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, Numbers 22:31 (Whole Chapter) Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. Joshua 5:14 (Whole Chapter) And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant? Joshua 7:6 (Whole Chapter) And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads. 1 Chronicles 21:16 (Whole Chapter) And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces. 2 Chronicles 20:18 (Whole Chapter) And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD. 2 Samuel 18:28 (Whole Chapter) And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed be the LORD thy God, which hath delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord the king.

Ezekiel 11:13 (Whole Chapter) And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel? Matthew 26:39 (Whole Chapter) And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Luke 5:12 (Whole Chapter) And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. Luke 17:16 (Whole Chapter) And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
