What was it that made you take a look at this report? What is driving you to look at the Internet as a means of creating a better lifestyle for yourself? Why does Internet Marketing look so attractive? Lets start with money Much of the world economy, not merely the Eurozone, appears to be in turmoil. Job security is an increasingly worrying issue and many find that their money doesnt stretch as far these days. Its no wonder, therefore, that more and more people are looking at alternatives to raise more cash and lead better lives. The internet is an obvious solution. Not only that, but with the number of people that now preach the virtues of creating a substantial income from the internet, its a wonder that everyones not doing it. There is no doubt that there is lots of money to be made and that the process is not that difficult to understand. Obviously, with over two billion people on the internet, there is no shortage of potential customers for the right products. This means that wealth beyond your imagination could be yours for the taking, coupled with the allure of a lifestyle that you could only previously have dreamt about. Basically, to run your business, it doesnt matter whether you are at home or sitting by the pool in an exotic location. As long as you have an internet connection and a PC or laptop, you are up and running. More than anything, internet marketing offers you a level of freedom that most people only dream about. Work when and where you want and answer to no-one. Choose the sort of home you want, the car you wish to drive and the lifestyle you want to lead. As a result the internet has created a new wave of people who understand that there is a better way, and that the hopes and dreams that they had previously regarded as impossible, can now be realised. Its easy therefore to understand why more and more people are looking to the Internet, to help change their lives around. So why isnt everyone doing it, and why isnt everyone successful at it? Unfortunately for them, nothing is ever as simple as it sounds. There are learning curves which have to be overcome and most people tend to give up at the first hurdle. This is due to: Fear of the unknown Not understanding enough about technology Not knowing which way to turn, with too much information being provided Lets look at some of these problems and what they mean to you! Why does the internet marketing business seem to be so difficult? Apparently, there are about 8,000 new internet businesses started every day and over 90% of them fail. As there is so much choice as to which way to go on the internet, that in itself can be daunting. We are now bombarded with people (Gurus) who offer programs that offer instant riches and for some reason or another, these either do not work or are too complicated to implement. How do you know which Business Opportunity (Biz Op) to choose, when there is so much information out there?

This is a question that we all have to consider. There are innumerable people out there basically saying that if you follow their systems, step by step, boundless wealth will be yours. Most of them are saying essentially the same thing, and a lot of them are actually giving out the right information. However, how many times have you bought into one program or another that promised to solve all your problems but somehow didnt quite deliver on those promises? You may be one of the many who have invested in various systems, home study courses, attended seminars and boot camps, but when push comes to shove..you do nothing. If this sounds familiar, dont fret. There are numerous people in precisely the same position. To be honest, the theory of internet marketing is really very simple: 1. 2. 3. 4. Decide on a product or service that you know people want to buy Set up an appropriate website Generate as much customer traffic as possible to that website Make lots of sales = lots of profit!

Not exactly rocket science, so why do so many people go round in circles, leaping from one scheme to another and probably giving up at the same point? The problem cant be Internet Marketing itself, because as you can see, the basic principle couldnt be simpler! The problem is inside your head, and thats what needs to be fixed. Supposing you get as far as creating/finding a product to sell, then what happens: You begin to put together your product and the gremlins creep in. You start thinking. have I chosen the wrong subject. what if I dont sound authoritative enough. maybe the market for something like this is too limited. what if nobody buys it. what if I fail. maybe I am destined to be one of lifes failures.. Before you know it, you are caught up in a whirlwind of fear, doubt and insecurity, all of your own making.

At this point, many people simply freeze and do nothing. The chances are that the study course you have invested in is perfectly sound and the technical information you have at your disposal is correct. Your failure to implement it has arisen from not using your brain power correctly. That is, having the wrong mindset. You need to discover exactly how to change your mindset and the way you think so that nothing is impossible and the word cant no longer exists in your vocabulary. As you can see, all of this boils down to one thing. YOU. If you can change your mindset and the way you think, all of this will fall into place.

CHAPTER 2 The capabilities of the brain and why this is so important In simple terms, how does the human brain function and how can knowing this help you?

Dont worry, this book isnt going to be a science lesson, but there are some points that must be covered in order to fully comprehend what our brains are capable of and how we can harness this power to ensure success in every aspect of our lives. With that said Lets start with some intriguing data: - The human brain weighs about 3 pounds - It comprises about 10 trillion brain cells - Each cell connects to about 100,000 cells near it - Every second, your brain takes in and stores more information than all the worlds computers put together Furthermore, it receives information from: - 250,000 temperature sensors - 600,000 touch sensors - 250,000,000 light receptors, distinguishing between over 1,000,000 colours A computer is a plank of wood compared to your brain! Your mind does more calculations as you drive to work than any computer can handle and your brain goes on thinking about other things while your car is driven almost entirely subconsciously. While crossing the street, your brain handles and processes more information than every computer on the planet. Staggeringly, the most recent estimate of the brains potential in terms of the number of connections or thoughts it can set up at any one time is: 1,000,000,000...continue this row of zeros for a further 9.8 miles!

This refers not just to people of noted genius like Einstein, Mozart or Stephen Hawking, but to all of us. That means you and I. Our potential is essentially unlimited, but we simply have no idea how to use this unbelievable computing power. In normal daily life, we use just a tiny fraction of this capability, less than 0.1% of our true potential. The reason for this is that we are limited by our knowledge of exactly what the brain can do for us and how we can harness this knowledge. To be quite honest our brains are quite happy not to let us realise our true potential. Yes, you read that correctly! We are mere robots being driven by our brain and mind. We are not in charge of ourselves, and we are not truly free until we learn to use our whole brain and make it work for us. In order to do this it is vital that you learn exactly how the brain functions so that you can harness its full potential to your advantage. I have no doubt that you are aware that your mind has two distinct parts, the conscious and the subconscious (sometimes referred to as the unconscious). 1. The conscious is the awake part of you that makes judgments, comparisons and decisions. 2. The subconscious is the part that works behind the scenes. It does not assess, it just accepts and does. It acts on instructions, clear and unequivocal instructions. Obviously we are all aware of the capabilities of our conscious, (awake) mind, and believe that this is where all our decisions come from, and what drives us forward in life. We use our conscious mind to form beliefs and make decisions on everyday issues such as whether we are capable of playing an instrument, whether we like certain foods, what we wear, which football team we support, where we work, etc. However, where did these beliefs come from? Are we really aware of the seemingly inane decisions that we make on a daily basis? Would you be surprised to find out that actually all these decisions were made for you and that your conscious mind had little to do with it? How annoying is that? Wouldnt you like to be completely in charge of all the decisions that are made about your life? Why is your subconscious seemingly on a different plain?

The fact is science has only just begun to scratch the surface regarding its capabilities. For instance, did you know that : Only 5% of your brain is conscious. Most of the motor, chemical and electrical functions of your body, from heartbeat to immune response, are subconscious. All memory is subconscious. Your subconscious can remember the number of streetlamps you passed on the way to work. The famous psychologist, Carl Jung spoke of and promoted the concept of the collective unconscious or universal mind. Basically, a huge ocean of shared knowledge and creative thinking, past and present, that we all have access to. It may be regarded as an idea transmitter and your mind is not a creator of ideas, but a receiver, somewhat like a radio. This is an amazing thought and can be difficult to accept. You dont have to worry about your mental capacity to come up with ideas. The ideas are out there somewhere. All you have to do is draw them towards you. Just tune your brain into the right channel. If all of this is true, then there must be a connection between your mind and the world outside of yourself - a mental internet connection with the entire universe. The 95% of your brain, the subconscious, is in fact the ultimate communications centre. Your subconscious mind uses less than 0.5% on bodily functions, driving the car and so on and uses the remaining 94.5% to turn your conscious instructions into your new reality. This is a complete departure from the way we have been taught to think and use our minds. On a simple level, when we bump into an old friend we havent seen for ages in the supermarket, our normal thinking says that this was a totally random event, a case of pure chance. However, your subconscious mind knew exactly what it was doing and almost planned the event for you. Chance does not come into it. How often have you mislaid something at home, like your keys. You know they are somewhere in the house, but you dont know where. At least your conscious mind has seemingly totally forgotten where. However, if you just ask your subconscious if it knows where they are, you will be amazed at how quickly the lost keys suddenly reappear. I have no doubt you can relate a similar story.

Please make a careful note of this point, because this is the key to harnessing and utilising the incredible power of the subconscious mind that can and will totally transform your life. To put it a different way, your subconscious is continuously absorbing every aspect of your life and storing the information. It is constantly reacting to outside conditions that you feed into it through your conscious mind. Your every thought is processed and the results produced by your subconscious depict the life you lead. Subsequently your life, i.e. house, people you mix with, where you go on holiday, your job, financial situation are all brought about as a result of the information that has been fed to the subconscious from birth onwards. Therefore, everything that you do, say, feel etc, is brought about by your subconscious telling you how it thinks you should react to any circumstance in your life, making judgments on your behalf from your previous experiences. Although your conscious mind deals with day to day decisions, it is also the processing unit for your subconscious. Without being aware of this, your conscious mind is there to give your subconscious precise instructions, as if talking to a child, and it takes these instructions to create the way your life is governed. Therefore, if you can learn to be conscious of the instructions you are passing on, you will learn to be in complete control of the outcome that your subconscious produces. These instructions should be simple, logical and definite and can be taught so that your subconscious can start to act on your behalf! This may sound like gobbledygook, but if you want to be in control of what your subconscious tells you, you need to change the information that you give it. Its as simple as that!

Chapter 3 Learning to think Differently


How to Change Your Attitude and Learn to Leave the Past Behind

Why do we think like we do? From the moment we were born our mind has been bombarded with information that has formed our attitudes to life and the way we think. We were conditioned by others and told what and how to think. This point is summarized perfectly by Paul R. Scheele, Transformational Leader of Human Development and author of innumerable books and courses concerning the power of the mind including Drop into Genius. As he puts it: You were born brilliant with genius abilities. Unfortunately, through the trials and traumas of life, and from the negative suggestions accepted from others, your ability to use the minds full power became obscured. This has led to less than the best possible outcomes in your personal and professional life. This is not our fault or the fault of those closest to us who only had our best interests in mind! This type of conditioning has been passed down the generations since time immemorial! No matter which walk of life you come from, your parents, like their parents before them and doubtless you possibly, as a parent yourself, instill in your children, the need to conform. - You try to teach good manners and to respect your fellow man - You teach them to be good in school and do as they are told - You encourage them with their education so that when they leave, they can get a good job And so the cycle continues. If you have ever seen the film Edward Scissorhands, you will understand what I mean when I refer to everyone conforming and not disturbing the norm. Everybody in the film lives the same life, living in safe little homes, wearing similar clothes and all doing their secure little jobs. This may seem boring, but it is the reality for most.

You may not realise it, but however individual you may think you are we have all been subjected to some level of conditioning. Our parents taught us what their parents taught them. Our schools teach us from a pre-ordained curriculum which we have by law to attend. Governments tell us that they are working on our behalf and create laws which only serve to keep us in check and the politicians in power. Media barons decree what they think we should see and hear, assuming what is right and moral for us. A traditional job is the only way to earn money and keep your family secure. You must also conform to the work ethics of the particular company you work for or you can find yourself out of a job pretty easily. Welcome to the COLDITZ mentality! Does any of that sound familiar? The reason behind all this is that our thinking has been distorted by our conditioning and the way we have habitually thought throughout our lives up to now. In short, we probably have decades of low expectancy to remove before we can truly progress. Our education system and most of the authority figures we have learnt from, have inadvertently conspired to breed a mentality that expects scarcity rather than abundance, control rather than freedom and pre-ordained limits rather than limitless expansion. From schooldays onwards, we are told if you dont follow the model set out for you, youll be on the financial scrapheap and never amount to anything. If you go to your bank regarding a business idea, the chances are that you will be advised by someone who has never run a business and has always worked in the safe, pensioned environment of the banking world. Why is it then that we still listen to such people? Its not exactly like getting advice from Richard Branson or Alan Sugar who have proven their expertise in the real world. Consequently, we seldom consider our true aspirations and abandon any hope of realising our dreams. What an appalling indictment of modern life. I can only assume that you are different. You wouldnt be reading this book otherwise. You can see that there is a way out of this apparently benign existence, but still you find that certain shackles from your past conditioning are holding you back.

I have no doubt that since embarking on your new venture you have met resistance from your peers who cannot see past their own limitations. Never underestimate just how sheep-like people around you may be. Those with low expectancy, few aspirations and an attitude governed by resignation, will often ridicule or dismiss your endeavours to bring about the change you desire, due to their lives being so limited. Their attitude may not be born of malice and may be well-intentioned, hoping to save you from some seemingly, airy-fairy and dreamy pursuit of instant wealth, but please recognise it for what it really is - a passive commitment to continued travel on the long road to nowhere. This type of conditioning has only served to create the sheep-like mentality that we are surrounded by in todays society. Furthermore, remember those people close to you who are only too quick to point out that you need to stop deluding yourself with all those get rich quick schemes and all that psycho-babble about comfort zones and terror barriers. Everyone who is on the escape route and can see that there is a better way, has been through this, so dont be surprised. The best thing is to stay focused and reaffirm your determination to show them just what you can do. Use their skepticism as something to spur you on rather than inhibit you. How can you escape from the Colditz style work ethic that we see everywhere? By now you should be realising why we have drawn an analogy with the prison camp that was Colditz and begin to understand that your life up to now has not really been of your own making. It is time to change all that and ensure that you succeed no matter what. The objective of this book is to empower you with the determination to challenge your traditional thinking and replace it with a fresh, dynamic and expansive approach to your life and the things you desire. We can assume that you recognise the Colditz mindset and aspire to something better. Much, much better. Your attraction to internet marketing is wholly commendable and we wish to ensure that you have the ideal mindset to free you from the prison bars of Colditz that much of society is unwittingly stuck behind. You will doubtlessly have noticed that internet marketing and the massive self-improvement industry often seem intertwined. Many of the gurus, particularly in the USA, speak with an almost evangelic zeal.

They do, however, recognise that to bring about radical improvement in your life requires a completely different mindset. Historically, this is not surprising, as back in the old days before the internet, the most respected experts in the field of engendering personal success and fulfilment, such as Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie and W. Clement Stone, all spoke and wrote about changing ones mental attitude, in order to succeed. It is time now to find out exactly what to do and how to do it! Leave your old ways behind, forgive yourself the past and move forward to the success you know you deserve. Rid yourself of negative thoughts and place only your most ardent desires in the front of your mind!

Chapter 4 Proper Goal Setting and how to take Control of Your Own Mind

Firstly, its important to differentiate between goal setting and project management. If, for example, you wanted to lose a stone in weight over a two month period, this is project management. You know basically what you need to do - eat less fatty food, moderate your alcohol intake, take more exercise and so on. There is no mystery involved, it is essentially just organising yourself appropriately and sticking to it, no matter what. By contrast, real goal-setting is when you have an objective, but little or no idea as to how you might achieve it. In essence, you consciously pass the problem to the subconscious mind and allow it to find the way, often in a way you would never have considered or imagined. So what do you really want? And How do you go about Getting it? These questions are not as simple as they seem. How do you discover what you really want? Take the time to honestly consider what you desire. You may believe that this is simple, but remember that your thinking has been distorted by your previous conditioning. How often have you seen something you like and immediately dismiss any possibility of having or achieving it? This is due to the fact that your subconscious sees your perceived desire as too difficult and only serves to upset the status quo normality of your life. Therefore, it automatically puts up barriers in order to keep you within your comfort zone. You may not recognise these at first for what they are, but with a little effort and learning to read your thoughts, you will be able to start taking control of your own subconscious!

How many times have you thought: That job sounds interesting, Id like to have a go at that, and your subconscious clicks straight in, saying Theres probably too much competition with people way more qualified, with more experience, or its probably not as easy as it looks. I really want that new dress/pair of shoes, and your automatic reaction is, I cant afford it, or they wouldnt look good on me anyway. Id love to go on an exotic holiday, say to the Maldives, and your mind tells you, but I could never afford it. Ive no doubt you recognise some of these examples and are beginning to realise just how your habitual thinking limits your expectations of getting the things you want. Well, thats all about to stop! Once you learn how to listen to your thoughts, you can control them and thus move towards your goals with nothing in your way. Interestingly, when you master your thought processes and only focus on your goals, youll be surprised at how quickly they start to manifest themselves. How do you decide on the instructions to send to your subconscious? The key to freeing yourself from the limitations of your traditional thinking is serious and correct goal-setting. The adjective serious is used for good reason, as lightly made or ill-considered goals will be abandoned at the first obstacle, somewhat like half-hearted New Year resolutions. Real goal-setting warrants deep and honest consideration as to what you really want. Not what you think will impress other people or whats expected of you, but truly what your heart desires. Lets start with reducing all the thoughts that affect your conscious mind. Dont worry about your automatic responses, i.e. the part of your subconscious that affects the running of your bodily functions and automatic day to day applications, such as eating, driving and other mundane activities. They will take care of themselves without you having to think about them. What we want to concentrate on is controlling your desires and focusing on them in order to turn them into reality.

This means that you consciously think about what you want as often as possible in order to really implant it on your subconscious. Every time you become aware that youre not thinking about what you want, make it pop into your mind again! Free yourself of the usual limitations. With regard to physical acquisitions, think as though you have just won the lottery and money is no longer a problem. So lets find out how to find out what it is you really want! Are most peoples goals money driven? This is an interesting question. Most of us have worked in jobs that we have hated. Corporate life has become more and more burdened by faceless bureaucracy, tedious processes and procedures that sentence us to a life of drudgery, just so the mortgage gets paid and theres food on the table. 1-2-1s, personal development plans, team building exercises, you know the sort of thing. What wouldnt you give to get away from all that tedious drivel. Time to escape from Colditz. Many people would also agree that money alone is no guarantee of happiness. However, we probably have all fantasized about winning the lottery and having the financial freedom never to have to worry about paying bills again. In fact, when asked what their main goal is, most people say financial freedom. However, this is not a goal in itself. Real goals are more specific and are controlled by unwavering desire and the belief that you deserve to attain that particular goal. Firstly, imagine that money is not an issue, and that you actually have won the lottery. Really feel what it will be like. What will you be wearing? Who will you be with? Where will be you be? Take 5 minutes to really experience what that life of financial freedom means to you. You have probably systematically rejected the possibility of ever having all manner of things for years, because your mindset automatically assumes that they are beyond your reach. Hundreds of times a day, for years and years, you may have been stifling your real desires, since you were tuned into the idea of scarcity rather than abundance.

Once you start to properly think about what your life would be like, youll be amazed at what your subconscious comes up with for you and you can really begin to feel and experience the reality of it. This reality can then become a focus of what it is that you truly desire! Secondly, imagine how differently you would view projects and objectives if you were told that failure was impossible - thereby removing one of the biggest areas of fear. Of course this is purely hypothetical to illustrate how fear of failure governs much of our thinking, but it does help with the notion of finding what you really want. Therefore you must concentrate hard on what it is you truly desire. Be very specific and find precise emotion-filled words to describe your most earnest wishes. Phil Gosling, who is one of the most renowned people in the industry to teach the importance of correct goal-setting says: Try and buy a ticket to warm and sunny - you cant. One of the most common goals people make is to be financially independent. That is the monetary equivalent of warm and sunny. It is entirely meaningless, yet everybody knows what is meant by it. Your subconscious mind is the equivalent of a mindless ticket agent. It doesnt question, argue or suggest. If it receives unequivocal, precise instructions, it gets on with it. If there is any thinking to do or if the instruction isnt perfectly precise, it just hangs up. You have to be precise. Your goal must be a destination not a flight. Lets contrast correct and incorrect goal-setting with an example of each. INCORRECT I will have lots of money, so I will never have to worry about paying bills again. I will buy a big house, have several flashy cars, go on exotic holidays and pick up loads of good looking women.

CORRECT I live in a beautiful cottage overlooking Dublin Bay on the east coast of Ireland. It has four bedrooms, a luxury kitchen, two bathrooms and a fruit orchard. I own and drive a Jaguar XJ in British racing green, with beige leather interior and alloy wheels. I live with my soul partner, my perfect woman, who is kind, generous, sexy, funny and loyal.

I work from home, running my flourishing internet marketing company. I work when I want and run things from wherever I am in the world. I travel extensively, attending major sporting events and frequently visit my favourite places, such as Rome, Paris, Tuscany, New York and San Francisco. I am calm, cheerful and loyal to my friends. I am honest, persistent, free of procrastination and drawn to abundance. I attract success and I am a magnet to money from many sources and in unexpected ways. I am truly happy and fulfilled and bring humour, happiness and humanity wherever I go. You will notice that in the correct version, everything is in the present tense, definitely not in the future tense. You must provide your subconscious with as much detail as possible and feel the emotions experienced with already having achieved these goals. Remember, the subconscious doesnt assess what you have said, deciding on what should be best for you. It follows instructions to the letter. Instructions reflecting a mind full of negative, fear-ridden results will be implemented accordingly by the subconscious, with negative, fear-ridden results. Goal-setting should be taken very seriously Done properly, it is not dreamily making a vague wish list, but a mission statement of how you have decided to live. Think of it as a massive commitment or vow to yourself and decide to reiterate that vow every morning and night. That way, you are establishing your goals in the subconscious mind as absolute reality. Allow the massive power of your subconscious to get to work and bring about the changes you desire in your everyday life. Of course, no-one is suggesting that you do nothing and everything happens by magic. It is vital that you take action and that you allow your subconscious to lead you to the right avenues to realise your goals. However, when it comes to goal setting you must remember that it is the goal you want to achieve. Dont worry about how you will achieve it. Many people think the journey will be too difficult. Just think about the goal and let your subconscious think about the journey. If you have given it the right instructions, it will get you to your destination. This may involve changes of direction that you have never considered and that you initially cant comprehend. Listen to what your heart truly desires. You may find that you go in a direction that you didnt even know existed! It is crucial in such circumstances that you continue and allow the seeds that have been planted to germinate.

Chapter 5 The obstacles that will arise and how to overcome them

Now that you fully understand how to not only have and create your goals, but also how to instruct your subconscious in order that they can be implemented, you must also take note that your subconscious will create obstacles which you can learn to recognise for what they are and learn to overcome them. In order to avoid being another dismal statistic, we very much hope that you take on board the advice that we are giving you and act accordingly. It is only natural to feel some degree of trepidation when embarking on a new project. It would be worrying if there were none. However, fear often induces inertia and paralysis, like a rabbit caught in the headlights of a car, seemingly unable to move. Fear This can manifest itself in several different ways: Fear of the unexpected Fear of known/unknown territory Fear of failure To name just a few. However, if we break these down, you will see that these fears can easily be overcome. Fear of the unexpected Dr Nick Hall PhD who is an expert in neurology draws a great analogy of how the mind depicts fear. He says: Supposing youre frightened of heights! If you find yourself at the top of a cliff, you dont want to go too near the edge because you are frightened of falling. However, if you should find that you get too close and end up going off the edge, you are no longer frightened of falling you are now frightened of landing.

The point is: What is it that you are really frightened of? It is the unknown! However, once you experience what you thought was terrifying, you find it wasnt so bad after all and you then move on to the next unknown concept which daunts you. Fear is always based on something which has not yet happened, but that you think might happen. As a result your subconscious puts up barriers/obstacles in your way as it bases the decisions you make on past conditioning and it does not like to upset your status quo. Trying to change your attitude, the way you think and thus your future is very daunting and your subconscious is very adept at putting as many barriers/fears in your way as it can. Fear of known/unknown territory (about which you have preconceived ideas)! Many people will back away from new projects because they have preconceived ideas of what it is all about. For instance, as previously mentioned, for those of us resourceful enough to try and venture out on our own into the world of working from home/internet marketing it has not been an easy journey. We have been surrounded by the negative opinions of supposed friends and family who believe that they know best and do not hesitate in telling us that we should stick to the norm and follow traditional working methods. This attitude is born simply because they have no idea what working from home/internet marketing actually means and it goes against their natural conditioning. It is very difficult therefore, for you to take that leap and break out of this mindset, not only for the sake of your friends and family, but because your own brain is also trying to keep you in the safe haven that it thinks is best for you. Fear of failure is an extremely common emotion It involves potentially losing face amongst your family and peers, thereby inviting ridicule or a chorus of I told you so. One should remember that most of the great scientific discoveries arose from numerous failures, each allowing the scientist to eliminate another erroneous line of thinking before attaining the desired objective. Many of the worlds greatest artists, writers and composers had to endure tons of rejection before their true worth was recognised.

Back in 1962, a host of recording companies could see no commercial potential in an unknown pop group from Liverpool called The Beatles. Most famously, Deccas reason for rejecting them was that guitar groups are on the way out. According to Hollywood folklore, Fred Astaires first screen test for RKO Pictures read Cant sing, cant act, balding, can dance a little. The point of these examples is that people are often clueless about anothers worth or latent talent. Of course, you should listen to advice and think about other peoples experiences, but never let your determination flag because of someone elses negativity. Fear of failure only comes from trying to impress others. If you are determined to succeed nobody else is going to stop you. You know that youre on the right path and nothing is going to get in your way. Getting over fear is not difficult, but does require true belief in yourself. Learning as much as you can and planning for everything that you do, will override any such fears. You are not doing this for other people, you are doing it for yourself. From what we have mentioned, it should be becoming increasingly clear that your mindset totally determines your approach to life and the ensuing results. Remember the old clich, keep doing things the same way and you will get the same results. This really means keep thinking the same way and you will get the same results. How can you use both parts of the brain? Firstly, you must recognise the limitations of our conscious thinking. We have been raised to try and work out how to do everything in our heads. If there is no way obvious to us, we tend to abandon the whole objective. Learning to trust your subconscious may feel odd initially, because you have spent your whole life thinking and acting the old way. As with small things, like the lost keys mentioned previously, gradually you find yourself involving your subconscious more and more in your daily life. Secondly, dont doubt that your subconscious is always hard at work. When you walk, you dont have work out which foot to put first and so on, you just walk. That and innumerable other physical operations are taken care of by your subconscious mind all the time. The big change comes with the idea of using your conscious mind to issue instructions to your subconscious. This maybe takes a leap of faith. After all, you have probably spent day after day, month after month, for years and years, trying to make all decisions and solve every challenge in your head, that is, relying only on your conscious mind.

Countless decisions are made in this way, without ever seeking the assistance of the subconscious, which we have already acknowledged represents 95% of our minds capability. It is understandable, therefore, that to bring about a situation where you instinctively bring the subconscious into play may take a bit of practice. When you learn to use both parts of the mind, you will learn to access, listen to and accept your inherent wisdom. This is a matter of practice, but as you gain more and more proof that this works, your confidence will soar. The stress of finding solutions and answers will diminish. Remember, you now have the means to access the collective unconscious, that limitless ocean of knowledge, information and ideas that can bring about the solution to anything. Homing in on the real enemy! If you take an honest look at yourself, as with most people, fear, doubt and insecurity have almost certainly played a decisive role in your life up to now. How often have you seen people who are perfectly at ease in a familiar environment, only to be hopelessly lacking in confidence when placed in a strange set of circumstances. To truly move forward, these negative tendencies must be exposed and defeated. They represent the shackles and locked doors of those imprisoned by the Colditz mentality. Generally speaking, your mindset is established and bolstered by habitual thinking. Day after day, year in year out, you encounter things that you desire that you immediately tell yourself you can never have. And why? Not enough money, not clever enough, not good-looking enough, not well-connected enough and so on. Consider how often you have resisted change or failed to pursue an aspiration, because fear and doubt have dominated your thinking. Your life may be awful, but at least it is awfulness that you are familiar and comfortable with. If this is the case, then you are an inhabitant of the COMFORT ZONE! So why should the comfort zone be a problem? It is very natural for human beings to dwell in their comfort zones. After all, you feel safe and secure, even if it is fairly horrible there. The comfort zone may manifest in various ways, such as staying in a job you hate, never having the courage to seek an alternative or failing to pursue something you know in your heart of hearts would be beneficial to you.

Procrastination is the best friend of the comfort zone. Never do today what you can put off till tomorrow and in most cases, tomorrow never comes. One of the great tragedies of the human condition is just how little potential most people realise. In Japanese legend, there is the story of the Kankucho bird, who lived deep in the snow mountains. During the day, he would bask in the warm sunshine, not giving a thought for how conditions would change when the sun went down. Sure enough, when night fell and the temperature plummeted, he would lie there shivering, promising himself that he would build a nest the following day, to protect him from the cold night air. However, next morning when the warm sun was shining brightly, he would again idle his time away and no nest would be built. So the cycle of events went on. Of course, the point of this story was to illustrate the rather familiar tendency to procrastinate and subsequently suffer regret, and regret is something that none of us should have to live with. When you are deciding what it is you desire most and what you want out of life, ask yourself this: What is it that I would regret most if I didnt do it? What is the alternative? To escape from the comfort zone, you must cross the terror barrier. What is the terror barrier? Everyone is different. What one person can do without blinking could represent an enormous challenge to the next person. The common ground is that we all have various things that we find daunting. Your terror barrier is a rampart built of all your doubts, fears and insecurities, dedicated to keeping you in the Colditz society forever. It appears just when you think things are going to change. Youve made up your mind to do something new, youre excited about it and youve even got the right mindset BAM the terror barrier kicks in, and all the excuses from under the sun pop up in order to hinder you from acquiring your goal. Do not underestimate the influence that the terror barrier has on your life. Successful people tend to confront this barrier while less successful people generally scuttle back into their comfort zones. Because your subconscious will fight you at every corner trying to keep you within your comfort zone you must learn to completely focus on what it is you are aiming for. Speak out loud to your subconscious and tell it categorically that you are in control. Recognise when it throws barriers to stop you moving forwards.

These can manifest themselves in different ways. For instance whilst trying to write this book, my car broke down, a friend needed help, one of my children was off sick from school. I even started arguing for no reason with my partner. You may think the world is against you when all these things start happening? But this is no coincidence! My subconscious was working very hard trying to stop me from moving forward. Learning to recognise this means that you not only deal with the problems that arise much more easily and calmly, but you also make time to put your true desires into action. Logically, it is therefore essential that the conscious mind sends the right messages to the subconscious, hence the importance of a positive, expansive mindset. As you break through these barriers, you will find that your confidence grows and you are much more at ease with yourself. From now on you should expect things to go your way, and not just hope or wish!

Chapter 6 The New You and What this means

Now that youve reached this stage of knowing who you are and what you want you must learn to move forward with absolute determination and focus. It is very easy to slip back into the Comfort Zone and Colditz mentality. You should feel a certain pride, firstly in having understood the two sides to your brain and secondly, becoming aware of how you can control your subconscious into doing what you want. You should now know exactly what it is that you do want and should be focusing on attaining that goal at all times. You should also understand that it doesnt matter if you dont yet know how you will reach your goal, your subconscious will make that apparent when it realises that your ultimate goal is something that it must help you achieve. There are many things that can keep you driving forward and the strong emotions that helped you create your goals in the first place should be the zeal that you need to keep going. For example a friend of mine who has become very successful in the marketing world, began his career as a result of pure anger. He ran a very successful business with a couple of other partners and for years this seemed to work very well. However, on coming back from holiday one year, he found that he had been squeezed out of his own company by his business partners. Although he had the majority shareholding, it was not over 50% and so there was nothing he could do. He was left completely penniless and exceedingly angry. He subsequently used this anger to galvanise himself to succeed with his new internet business, a sort of benign vengeance. He is now many times more successful than the remaining partners have been since they got rid of him. He understood exactly how to achieve whatever he wanted in life. He learnt as much as he could on proper goal setting and how to use every part of your brain and is now a leading authority on the subject.

There are other examples of famous people who have understood how to completely utilise the power that is within their conscious and subconscious. Mozart is one such person. He most likely didnt even realise how great his understanding was. At an unnaturally young age, he was composing great symphonies the likes of which have not been achieved since. Einstein was another. A genius amongst men who, with dogged determination, discovered that we are all mere matter, particles of energy, and if you learn how to control this energy, you can control anything in your life. Hitler unfortunately is an example of someone who used the phenomenal power within us to detrimental effect. He knew what he wanted and didnt stop until that was achieved, managing to galvanise a whole nation into believing in his dream. His determination and absolute belief in himself brought about his infamous rise. Martin Luther-King is yet another who managed to bring about enormous change through having one dream that he had total unwavering faith in and was completely passionate about. What do all these people have in common? They could all visualise exactly what it is they wanted as if they had already achieved it and felt the passion that follows the experience. Once you understand this one fundamental rule, you can achieve anything in any walk of life. You may just want - a promotion at work - better more exotic holidays - a more vibrant love life - to be fantastically rich and totally financially free Whatever is you desire you now have the wherewithal to make it happen. You will be surprised at how new ideas on how to achieve things that you didnt even know existed suddenly come flooding into your mind. This time however, you will recognise what is happening around you and know how to put it to good use. Surround yourself with everything positive. The rich dont take much notice of the news and doom and gloom of the media. The reason for this is that it has no real bearing on their own lives. Unless it impacts them directly, these things only serve as a distraction from their main focus.

There is nothing wrong with having completely selfish reasons for wanting to achieve your particular goals. No-one else is involved in what you create. It is admirable to want a better life for your family or even to have enough money to give a lot to some charity or other. We all aim to be able to help others in some way. However, in order to get to that point, you must know in yourself what it is that you want to achieve for yourself first, i.e. take your family on holiday this year, buy a new car, new house, etc. As you begin to tick these off your list, you will find that the rest will come. You will feel more vibrant with renewed energy. This will build confidence and give vitality to any project you put your mind to. Suddenly all the various BizOps that youve bought in the past will fall into place and you will know which are the ones to follow and which are the rubbish ones. You will find that it is like a light bulb going on above your head and all the information you have gathered makes sense and youll know where to start and which direction you want to go in. It is a very elevating feeling knowing that whatever happens you cant fail because you wont let yourself. There may be set backs but these are just a learning curve to spur you on to your future success. You can start your life with a new slate, with no limiting shackles stopping you from escaping the Colditz that is your life! From now on you take responsibility for your every action and know that the future is yours for the taking.

Chapter 7 What Now! How to take Action

So, what exactly have you learnt from this book and how do you start to put it into practice straight away? Firstly you found out about - The Brain and its connection to Internet Marketing and Home Business: So many people want to change their lives around for one reason or another and these days it is more often than not due to the world recession and the need to create a more secure financial future. Whatever your reasons, many of you are turning to the internet in the hope of finding that golden nugget, and after getting fed up with the get rich quick scams you are also disillusioned about which way to turn. It is through no fault of your own that you have not been armed with the right information, but setting up a business, or even just trying to earn some extra cash can be very daunting if you arent given the right training. I therefore hope that the first chapter of this book showed you the importance that your mind has over merely digging away but never quite getting there and finding out how to harness the power of your brain in order to help you obtain anything you want. Secondly you learnt how the brain functions Having learnt that your brain plays a vital role in the build up to your success it was important to enter into the basic, yet astounding functionalities of the brain, so that you can start to understand exactly what it is you are dealing with and appreciate how you can go about making the changes required in order to achieve the life changes that you desire. In a nutshell you should now be able harness the power within in order to change the life without.

How you direct your thoughts will affect the outcome of your actions. Now you should understand that: The brain is made up of two parts - the conscious - the sub-conscious The conscious mind represents the smallest fraction of the total, (approximately 0.5% of your brain) while the unconscious mind is in control of every function including carrying out decisions made by the conscious mind. The sub-conscious is going to put up a fight if your desires go against the life long held beliefs that you hold. Armed with this knowledge you can now override your sub-conscious and introduce proper instructions in order to obtain your goals.

What this means is that you can now take control of your sub-conscious by feeding it the information required in order for you to change your life on a massive scale. In other words the world really is your oyster. I have no doubt that you bought this book hoping that you would discover the secret to making a fortune and I sincerely believe that the real secret lies within all of us. It is your attitude and expectancy to win the causes the results you desire. The real meaning of life, is not 42 ( as stated in the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, by Richard Adams), the real meaning is understanding that you are in control of everything that happens to you and thus from this time forward you can shape your own future without having to depend on any outside forces. Therefore what you must now do is: 1. Decide exactly what it is that you desire for your life more money a better more secure future for yourself and your family a lovely house more opportunity to travel etc, etc

Whatever it is that you truly desire must be very specific. Sit down right now and write out what it is that will motivate you to get out of bed each day. Remember to write it in the present tense as if you have already achieved your goal. See in your minds eye what your life will be like once this goal has been achieved, and truly feel the emotion that goes with it. Dont worry if your goal seems completely outrageous. Dont spend time thinking about how you will reach your goals, simply know that if you truly desire it and can feel the emotion that goes with obtaining your dreams, the way will become clear. Spend at least 10 minutes every morning and evening, reading it, seeing it and feeling it. Only then will your sub-conscious start to sit up and listen. Consciously make the effort to think about your goal as often as possible. Youll be surprised as to how quickly your sub-conscious will get to work on your behalf in order to achieve your once it knows how serious you are about it. 2. Recognise the defenses that your sub-conscious will throw at you and push past the barriers: Ignore the voices in your head, telling you that you will never achieve what you are seeking, or that you are not clever enough, etc, so that you can go back to the life that you are comfortable with. Push past the barriers that try and keep you in your comfort zone Ignore outside forces that may slow you down in your progress, such as kids being off sick, flights being cancelled, small or even large accidents happening to you or those around you. Circumstances that you dont seem to be able to avoid.

Believe it or not, all of these are being thrown at you by your sub-conscious in order to try and put you off changing your life. 3. Know that it takes about 3 weeks to change a habit, so you must: Sort out exactly what your old beliefs and paradigms really are in order to understand what it is that must change within you. Understand that YOU are in control of your mind and your actions. Everything that happens to you is of your own doing. Therefore if you want riches and a better life, DECIDE that YOU want it and ask your subconscious to help you get what YOU want.

IN CONCLUSION

Hopefully, we have provided you with a challenging but exciting perspective on the whole issue of how best to engage the awesome power of your mind and forge for yourself, the life that you truly want that will bring you happiness and fulfillment. Please remember these key points : Constantly try to keep your thoughts positive and free of slander. When you encounter people who are always moaning, complaining and blaming others for the state of their own lives - dont allow their negativity to seduce you into losing your focus. This is easier said than done as many use this way of settling on a common target as a prime means of communication i.e. getting depressed about the state of the Economy and continuously having to discuss it! You will always find allies when it comes to moaning about life. Avoid these people if you can, or at least rise above their constant drudgeries. Maintaining a positive mindset is one of the hardest things to do, but one that is fantastically rewarding. Your old way of thinking was built on habitual responses established day in, day out over decades. It is hardly surprising that you may have to battle to fully embrace this new, positive mindset. Just dont ever give up! Train yourself to constantly turn your wishes over to your subconscious mind and let it do its magic - you will never look back! Congratulations yet again for reading this report. By now you should be raring to go and full of enthusiasm, knowing how to take the action that will surge you forward to success. You may also understand why the book made comparisons between todays society and the prison that was Colditz Castle. This may have seemed harsh but there are two points to be made here: 1. As unpleasant as Hitler was, you cannot take away the fact that he never wavered in his belief. His determination was so strong that he managed to almost hypnotise a whole nation into believing that they were doing the right thing. This is an overwhelming example of thought power coming to fruition! 2. We are, through no fault of our own, being brain-washed through work and the media and being told how we should live and what is good for us. Whilst I am not advocating breaking the law I hope you now realise that there is another way, and that way is down to YOU. Hitler is obviously an extreme example of how well this system can work if you believe enough in yourself. However, the Colditz mentality of the majority of workplaces is now beginning to undermine the individuality of normal people. Dont listen to anyone but your true self and follow your heart! You wouldnt have read this report unless you were looking for something different, a better way. Now you have found a way to implement that and I hope you realise that whatever you want in life, can be yours if you want it badly enough! The future is yours, take it, TODAY!
