ABSTRACT 1
The abstract of this project basically reflects on my education background and practical working experience. In general, its entails three major areas of my work experience. This includes; 1. My training experience in NEPA, Abuja during my service (NYSC) year 2. My working experience as Project Engineer at Elkaris Nigeria Limited (1999 2004). 3. My working experience at Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), PHCN, Abuja My working experience include when I went for my one year compulsory Industrial training at The Federal Freshwater Fisheries School where I was involved in the maintenance of boat building factory equipment (Generators, Motors, and other heavy duty machineries) and staff housing estate at New - Bussa, Kainji. Next is my one year National Youth Service Corp Scheme which afforded me the opportunity to be trained as a seasoned Distribution Engineer with National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), Abuja. The training received at National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), Abuja was so in-depth that when I finished my youth service programme, my first employer made me the project Supervisor/Engineer at Gusau, Zamfara state. I single handedly managed the project to completion and commissioning. During my position as project Engineer/Supervisor, I under took several jobs that concerns Electrical house wiring, Electrical distribution network/Rural electrification projects and project feasibility/Evaluation studies. I remained in that position until when I secured another appointment with NEPA (Now PHCN) in 2004 as an Engineer System Operator. As an Engineer System Operator, I am involved in the control of Grid System parameters (System frequency and voltages at 330/132/33Kv Transmission Control Centers/Stations).

ABSTRACT TO TECHNICAL REPORT /INTRODUCTION

The abstract of this project basically reflects on my practical working experience as Project Engineer at Elkaris Nigeria Limited (1999 2004), with particular details on the GusauTsafe Rural Electrification project covering Eight villages in over two Local Government Areas of Zamfara state.

The Design Calculations report shows the various technical jobs undertaken to electrify the villages under consideration.; from the site survey stages, marking and measurements, enumerations of the community load consumptions, project feasibility/Evaluation studies, evaluations of the size, type and quantities of materials required, preparation of the Priced Bill Of Quantities (B.O.Q.), submission of same as a Proposal/Tender for jobs needed to be done. Then after award of job, the Procurement process, mobilization of men & materials to site, bush clearing operations, tree cutting exercises, marking, pegging, excavation of poles holes point, erection of poles and other materials, method and procedures used to achieved perfect job, substation construction and tidying up of earlier job done, Design drawings produced, correspondence to relevant authorities, test, checks and inspections of installations, pre commissioning and eventual commissioning/Hand over.
