Jointing and High Quality Sealing and Multipurpose Acrylic Sealant
Product Description
uses Connecting joints exposed to low stress, inside and outside. Also can be used as crack filler e.g. sealing of small and medium-sized in wood windows, shutters and window sills. Can be over painted (universally compatible with all paints). Adheres also to humid and absorbent substrates. Self-adhesive on standard substrates without primer. Elasto-plastic. Easily injectable. Good adhesion to wood, plaster, concrete and aluminium. Acrylic-dispersion. White, concrete-grey, brown Cartridge, contents 310 ml. Sausages, contents 600 ml. In a dry and cool place, can be stored up to 12 months. 1.5 g/ml. Approx. 15 min. Approx. 10 days. Approx. 20% Approx. 15% 30 mm. Approx. 20. Approx. 0.10 N/mm2 Approx. - 25C to + 80C. + 5 up to + 30C. Moisten absorbent substrates well. Non-absorbent substrates have to be clean, dry, free of grease and dust. If necessary, remove old sealants and other residues completely. To obtain optically perfect joints we recommend to protect adjacent substrates with an appropriate adhesive tape. With smooth substrates use a smooth adhesive tape, with uneven substrates a crepe tape. Cut open cartridge above thread, screw on plastic nozzle and cut off tip at desired angle. Place cartridge into gun and apply sealant bubble-free. Fill in joint completely. Place sausage in appropriate gun and cut off front part. Depending on type, screw or engage plastic nozzle into gun lid. Close gun and apply sealant bubble-free in joint completely. Smooth sealant with an appropriate agent immediately after application. Spray water onto the sealant and smooth subsequently. Pull off adhesive tape at once to avoid that the tape might harm skin formation. Remove smoothing agent. Protect surface of sealant from moisture (e.g. rain) during skin formation. Clean non-cured sealant and tools with water immediately after application, cured sealant can only be removed by a mechanical tool.

Special remarks Caution

Sikacryl -S is compatible with all usual coating systems. Being and elasto-plastic sealant, Sikacryl -S can only be painted, if the paint compensates the movement of sealants without damage. While curing Sikacryl -S is sensitive to frost. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
