Product Description
Uses Sikadur -53 is a solvent-free, two component moisture insensitive liquid based on epoxy resin containing special fillers. Sikadur -53 is used as an injectable resin to seal damp and wet cracks by high pressure injection (width of the cracks > 0.5 mm). As a grouting liquid for the adhesion of concrete and steel under water (by water displacement). Cures without shrinkage. High resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals. Excellent adhesion to salt - water immersed, cement bound substrates. High density ensures complete water displacement. High mechanical strengths even after hardening under water. Green (Comp. A : green, Comp. B : transparent). 20 kg units (A+B) pre measured. Comp. A = ~ 17.8 kg pails. Comp. B = ~ 2.2 kg pails. Application
Mix ratio Application Comp. A : B = 8 : 1 parts by weight Comp. A : B = 3.6 : 1 parts by volume. Add comp. (B) to comp. (A) and stir with a mixing paddle attached to an electric hand-drill (max. 400 RPM to avoid entrapping air). Mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes until an even green colour of the mixture is obtained. Clean all tools immediately after use with Colma-Cleaner or another suitable solvent (e.g. toluene, xylene). C minutes 20 ~ 30 30 ~ 15 40 ~ 7.5 After having mixed comp. (A) with comp. (B) observe a waiting time of 15 minutes (at 20C) in order to allow the mixture to pre-react for an optimal adhesion under water.

Toxicity

In liquid state product contaminates water. Do not dispose of into water or soil but according to local regulations. Non-hazardous. Wear goggles and gloves during application. In contact with eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention without delay. If swallowed or if vapours are inhaled: remove to fresh air, seek medical advice and do not induce vomiting. Remove immediately contaminated clothing after application. Wash hands before breaks and after work with plenty of soap and water. Class. 4, under relevant health and safety codes.
