Fashion trends and current youth Pen this to my dear brothers & sisters In todays technological era youth

had to cope up with current trends to get the approval of the colleagues & to be attractive among others. But we had to make sure that whether the trend suits us. We have to look for the suitability of the fashion before adhering to it & then follow it. This is severe in case if an uneducated young guy or girl gets into the track of the new trends. The worst case of the blind trend setters is that they are ignoring the real values of the old traditions & ruin whole cultural values. Remember that the trends are there for the time to time to shift the phase of the fashion towards a new era but not to lose the values of life style. Following a trend to get the popularity is the norm of cinema actors & actresses, even though most of them limit it only at the cinema, but the followers dont focus on the suitability of the fashion to their environment & imitate every style. They try to practice everything which could give happiness for them. Wearing a fashionable dress, using cosmetics, changing hair styles, etc is not a wrong thing but it doesnt mean that we need to lose our values. We can see the bad effect of the cinema & youth involvement in love in parks, beach, etc. True love has a long life even without meeting each other, but todays love lie on the concept of one day with one girl, next day for a new shift. As people changing dresses daily to make them fresh todays youth change their love too in daily basis, weekly basis, monthly basis or annually. This has caused more social diseases to spread through, to increase crime & to increase illegal abortion. The worst scenario is that some of the couples behave in nasty manner even in the public places like buses & classes. Also even with the school uniform. This need to be change & our tradition & cultural values should be protected through better awareness programs starting from school level. In Sri Lanka earlier we had real respect towards our elders but with the 21st century all people are industrialized & use their parents as house-maids or let them stay at elder homes. They forget that the same pay back would come in return for them during their old age. Not only has the tradition, Sri Lankan community lost their cultural values too. As youngsters we had the responsibility to give away our support not only for the economical growth but to develop a nation with strong values. We should learn the values through our elder generation, need to respect their advices, because through experience they might have realized their mistakes & try to teach us the effect of bad behaviors. The current youngsters are not much flexible to respect the elderly advices as they feel that those stuffs are of out dated, but the thing we have to realize that is to be wise to learn the mistakes by others ,because sometime we may not

blesses with such long life to get the whole exposure on every matter. So giving away some of your ego to learn the real valuable things matters the most. Another problem of following fashion trends blindly is to being naked even with the dress & through social network. Our girls follow the styles and expose their inner beauty to outer world & they are used as objects for the advertisements. People try to sell them for money & due to that increases the level of sexual harassment & in turn it increase the prostitution in our community. We have strong tradition & valuable, respectable female personalities in our history. So it is our duty to protect our sisters from this nasty culture. This Through globalization we can experience many advantages such as being noticed on any climatic, weather or environmental changes, political, economical problems, spot news, etc. but the adverse effect is that youth being addicted to social networks such as face book, tweeter, google+, etc. We should be aware about our limits with these social networks & not to lose our privacy. Ones if we lose it we cant get it back & the black mark will remain forever in our lives. Especially female personalities should get secure actions to prevent unwanted issues. Without wasting time on face-book by changing the status time to time we can use that time for useful things such as to improve our IQ, to read books, etc. Education is the most worth jewel a youth can wear, which cannot be stolen by any. So we should get the proper education. To be glad we are born in Sri Lanka where most of the education systems are on free of charge & several scholarship systems are there to lend the support to make you educated. We should use this valuable opportunity & should try to reach our goals, but reason incidents at universities expose an un-sensible area of our education system. Some of the students are not grateful for the education which was provided free & they are not lending even others to get their opportunity of learning freely. This tradition need to be change. Pen is the greatest weapon than a nuclear bomb, If it is used properly none other weapons can lead it. So we should try to get the solutions for our problem through discussion, in written form or etc, but should not use the violence & take the law into our hands. All the school leavers should get proper training on behaving in a grateful manner for the time, cost & commitment made to provide a free education to the youth at university. Fashion trends doesnt mean only the style features, but the corrupted cultural and traditional values through following the cinema, European & other styles which get popular through medias. We can use the same media to educate tour youth for the betterment of the future of Sri Lanka. It is our value we need the most not the outer appearance. We should bring up the youth with inner beauty who can lead the future.

Finally we like to wind up with a little statement to think

We all travel with a mirror & windowwe use mirror to when life goes in a prospective & successful manner &say it is because of my talent & commitment I reach this position but.. if life goes wrong with full of troubles we look out of window & point anotherthis mentality need to be change for the betterment of our future.. Let us look for our mistakes & correct itrespect advices of others & make our life brighter.
