Requirements for Thesis Submission

The Architectural Design thesis shall appropriately consist of findings in the form of following presentations. Report: Cover sheet of the report should be in the format specified. Certificate copy to be enclosed in front of the reports and is available in department, all the students should use the same. Thesis Topic, Name of the student, Hall ticket number to be printed, (hand written is not encouraged) leaving the day blank in the certificate copy. The dissertation has to be in portrait format of a book that can be shelved in the University Library consisting of printed images, drawings and graphics. The formatting shall be as per the instructions. Colour: Bounded reports should have maroon colour cover with golden lettering embossed on it. Three copies of reports hard bounded in format specified shall be submitted. (students copy, guide copy and library copy). Along with the bounded copies a CD Comprising of your entire work done during thesis along with drawings in PDF file for digital library shall be submitted.

Chapter 4 table 2 - Table 4.2 Printing Use Laser printer Binding- Hard cover leather or rexine - Specified colour- Maroon - Letters embossed in gold Presentation during Viva-voce: Format for Data collection and case studies: They shall be presented in from of explanatory graphics preferably on A3 size sheets using either manual or electronic medium. Format for Architectural Design presentation: Shall be in form of manual or CAD Drawings Consisting of site plans, building plans, sections, Elevations landscape and structure etc of proposed project, to standard conventional scales only. The drawing sheets should be formatted as per IS formats and project needs. A scaled model explaining the salient features of the thesis project is compulsory. CAD 3-D modeling, walk troughs (presented in any media) are appreciated only when in addition to at least a block model. Drawing sheets: All the drawings shall be to be of conventional scales. Preferred Size of Drawing sheet: A2 interior projects, A1 Architectural projects.

A jury comprising of an internal and external examiners and the guide will conduct external University Thesis examination in the institution at the end of the 9th semester as per the schedule. Minimum number of drawing sheets for external jury shall be 15. Notice: Before Submission of your bounded report get it signed with your guide, it is mandatory.

Important Dates for Submission: 15.11.13- Submission of Draft report to the guide 18.11.13 by 12.00 noon Submission of Literature study, Data collection, Site analysis in A3 size sheets, and all the drawings of your design proposalA1 format, to the thesis coordinator. 20.11.13 by 10.00 A.M - Bounded thesis books along with drawings enclosed in it and duly certified (signed in the certificate) by the guides to submitted to the thesis coordinator
