DESIGN A COUNTRY
On the following page create your own country and create a map of that country. The map should show natural (rivers, mountains, etc.) and man-made (highways, major cities, etc.) features. You should name your country and include any significant landmarks or tourist attractions. Be sure to include a key for your map. Make a second list of ways that people affect their environment through seasonal activities (for example, watering lawns, burning leaves, fishing and hunting). If needed, look through the newspaper to find examples of both kinds of activities.
