The Seabees of Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit Three Zero Three (CBMU-
303) Detachment Fallon celebrated the completion of a complete rebuild of the base’s
transportation building on 18 June. The new 2,400 square foot building required 1,300
man-days of Seabee labor, and was built at a cost of $447,000. By using the Seabees for
the project, the Navy saved $357,000 in taxpayer dollars. Joining Captain Michael Glaser,
NAS Fallon Commanding Officer, on the ceremonial scissors are Lt. junior grade Jack
Corlis (left), Officer in Charge of CBMU-303, and Cmdr. Dale Seeley (right), NAS Fallon
Public Works Officer, as well as members of CBMU-303 and the Public Works staff.

Tommy Murphy, Teen Volunteer for Summer Camp


volunteered more that 40 hours during his summer vacation.
Tommy conducted a basketball camp which consisted of
teaching basic basketball concepts. He lives and participates in
his local community of NAS Whidbey Island, WA.
Tommy is the son of Cdr. Charles Murphy.
