SUMMARY Executive summary: This document is complementary to the submission by Australia (BLG 7/8/1) and sets out an inventory of FPSOs/FSUs currently deployed in the offshore oil sector Paragraph 4 BLG 6/9 and BLG 7/8/1

Background 1 At BLG 6, the correspondence group preparing information on the application of MARPOL Annex 1 to FPSOs and FSUs presented, as part of its report, a compilation of the current deployment of these offshore installations (BLG 6/9, annex 2). The annex to the report also contained information on a group of installations, namely semi-submersibles, which are not the subject of this work item. 2 In the ensuing informal discussions, a number of comments, factual corrections and suggestions were made on the list and OGP offered to compile these amendments in a revised inventory. 3 The revised inventory is presented in the attached annex. The annexed tables retain the information relating to semi-submersible installations. Changes are identified in italic face. Action requested of the Sub-Committee 4 The Sub-Committee is invited to note the information and to consider it along with and complementary to document BLG 7/8/1 submitted by Australia.
