Slowly and reluctantly, Debra puts the meds in her mouth as Timmy hands her her cup of tea. After staring at him for a second, she takes a drink and swallows. DEBRA You happy now? TIMMY Terribly so. Smiling, Timmy walks back to the kitchen and begins to clean up all the broken glass. FADE TO: INT. SWANSON HOME/KITCHEN - AN HOUR LATER The kitchen looks much cleaner as Timmy stands cleaning off the last bit of counter space, looking content. He grabs a saucer off of the counter and after rinsing it, places it in the dishwasher. A loud thunk is heard from the living room and Timmy looks in to see his mother slumped on the floor. Timmy walks over to her and grabs the cigarette out of her hand and puts it out in the overflowing ashtray. He grabs the small knit blanket from the couch and puts it over her lifeless figure. Staring for a moment, he crouches down and puts his fingers on her neck. He sits for a moment with his eyes closed, then smiles and bends down to kiss her on the side of the forehead. TIMMY Goodnight, Mother. Timmy gets up and walks toward his bedroom. In the hall, he pauses and looks at an old picture of Alex, Debra, and Himself at the lake 8 years ago.
