Prefabricated Fountain Systems

Fountain construction is often based on pools made from concrete or flexible liner.
Both approaches are time consuming, subject to deterioration and make special
demands on the knowledge and craftsmanship of the installer.
As an alternative, Atlantic Fountains offers prefabricated fountains based on fiberglass pools. Each
system is a proven solution that offers the best in state of the art water feature design.

Fiberglass Pool
Pools up to eight feet in diameter are shipped ready
for installation, while modular pools must first be
assembled. The pool sections are set on supports
and clamped together. Bolts are then installed at
two inch intervals. Gasket material is installed in the
gap and the bolts tightened to complete the pool.

Subgrade
The pool rests on a level compacted subgrade.
The subgrade should not be sand, but a
granular fill that can be compacted. (The tiny
trench accomodates the pool flange.)
The pool may be installed above grade or ingrade. Above ground installations must be
finished with a wall for final appearance. If
interlocking blocks are used, it is not necessary
to pour a footing as with a masonry wall.
In-grade installations should still leave the top of the pool slightly above grade to prevent the
entry of ground water. The surrounding berm may benefit from ground cover to keep the soil in
place and reduce wind blown debris from entering the pool.

Component Installation
System components range from a single pump,
nozzle and light through multipump animated and
musical systems. Typical equipment also includes
a nozzle manifold, manual control valves, junction
box with penetration kit, and a control panel.

Control panels include a time clock and GFI protection with

optional logic for integrated automatic fill and wind control.
Penetrations typically include a fill line, drain and a junction box.
Atlantic Fountains will supply you with details on each type of
installation. Components are set into the pool and wired to the
junction box with connections made back to the control panel.

this fountain reduces to four in
moderate winds and shuts off in
high winds.
