Construction
Ducts are primarily circular section, which ensures a better mechanical resistance to pressure or vacuum, and better aerodynamics profile. Ducts will be stiffened in order not to deform under pressure or vacuum. Deformation shall be less than 1% The materials will be adapted to the location and the possibilities of supporting from the concrete structure, ceilings, walls or floor. The distance between 2 stands must be such that the duct does not suffer any deformation regardless of the type of stands . All accessories (dampers, valves, taps, ...) will be supported at each end. The ducts should be supported every 2.50 m with collars and stainless steel threaded rods. Materials used will be stainless steel and plastics. Interpose flexible joints between the supports and duct.
Installation
5 -
Balancing volume dampers shall be provided where flow rates in ducts must be adjusted. Dampers shall be made of the same kind of material as that of the ducts, and where it is not applicable they shall be made of stainless steel. For every pump sump, a balancing volume damper shall be provided on all exhaust ducts. Balancing dampers shall be motorised so that they can be closed when not in use and open to their preset position when resuming operation.
6 -
Motorised volume dampers shall be provided on fresh air supply ducts and exhaust air ducts so as to extend control range of air flow rate or pressure. Like Variable Speed Drives the motorised volume dampers shall be controlled by the PLC Each motorised damper shall be bypassed by a manual volume damper of smaller size. 7 Louvres
Louvers shall be sized to meet the maximum air flow requirements. They shall be provided with volume dampers where required.

Traps will be placed judiciously: On straight ducts Near the elbows Upstream and downstream of a damper On plenums. They will be built with the same material as the ducts and the same thickness.

Operating philosophy
Fans are driven by frequency converters. Variable Frequency Drives They maintain a low pressure in the plenum: 500 Pa below atmospheric pressure
11 -
11,1 - Guarantees The equipment will be guaranteed two years against defects in design, manufacture or installation. Special guaranty against corrosion (5 years for coating)
11,2 -
Other specifications
The product shall comply with the general requirements. On-site installation. Ten years spare parts list. Manufacturer documentation: dimensional drawings with loads, electric schemes, Operating and Maintenance Manual. Test reports. Certificate of compliance.
