How Disney Has Changed Over The Years?

By Jess

Disney is one of the oldest and most popular networks for kids over the past 100 years.

Creator

Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney invented Disney in 1923.

Awards
In 1932, Disney received a special Academy Award for the creation of Mickey Mouse a series which switched to colour in 1935 and soon launched spin-offs for supporting characters such as Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto.

Disney Company
The Walt Disney Company, commonly known as Disney, is an American diversified multinational mass media corporation headquartered in Walt Disney Studios, Burbank, California. It is the largest media conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Disney was founded on October 16, 1923, by Walt and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, and established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before they went into live-action film production, television, and travel.

Disney On Foxtel
Disney Channel (originally "The Disney Channel" from 1983 to 1997) is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Disney-ABC Television Group, a unit of the Disney Media Networks division of The Walt Disney Company. Aimed mainly at pre-teens and teenagers 914 years of age and its preschooler-targeted shows aimed at children 26, its programming consists of original first-run television series, originally made-for-cable movies and select other third-party programming. The "Mickey Mouse TV screen" design and text were often used separately with the former as the de facto primary on-air logo

Disneyland
Disneyland opened in 1955 on July 17th. Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. The person that opened Disneyland was Walt Disney. It was originally the only attraction on the property, though it was slightly renamed to distinguish it from the expanding complex in the 1990s. Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. After hiring a consultant to help him determine an appropriate site for his project, Walt bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955.
