Every month, one student from each classroom is designated as Character Counts Good Citizens of the Month. Students are nominated by classroom teachers for demonstrating the six pillars of character (Caring, Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Fairness, and Citizenship). Students and their parents/guardians will be honored with an ice cream sundae party and an afternoon of BINGO. Additionally, there will be other surprises for the honorees at this time. The honorees will have their picture taken to be displayed on the bulletin board as well as in the Herald-Mail. The Character Trait of the Month for September was Respect. Septembers Character Counts Good Citizens of the Month were Stanley Miranda, Hailey Lawhead, Makayla Heagy, Levi Embly, Sherron Logan, Sabrina Linetsky, Grayson Harvey, Scarlet Holbruner, Elizabeth Pierce, Shelby Hoflich, Sydney Gardner, Ke Jawn Barnes, Marquet Brown, Malayia Brady, Aleya Bullard and Logan Adkins. The Character Trait for October is Responsibility. Students will be taught what it means to be a responsible student during a guidance lesson presented in their classroom. A responsible student tries his/her best, is accountable for his/her actions, exercises self-control and does what they are supposed to do. We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from November 4th 8th. During this week, will be talking about A Healthy Me is Drug Free. We would like students to have fun and participate in our Red Ribbon Spirit Week. Below is a list of the activities for the week: Monday, November 4th A Healthy Me is Drug free (Wear red) Students will receive a ribbon. Drugs Turn You Inside Out (Wear clothes inside out) Students will receive a lollipop Team up Against Drugs (Wear favorite team shirt/jersey) Students will receive a sticker. Sock-it to Drugs (Wear mismatched or crazy socks) Students will receive a sticker My Future is Bright No Drugs in Sight (Wear college clothing, or dress up as future career) Students will receive a bracelet
