"Manglik Dosha" Manglik is a common word today.

But who is Manglik, astrologically or what is Manglik Dosh is not known to common man. However nearly all believe this myth. To conclude the above statements on Manglik as explained by Astrologers: A Native is a Manglik If Mars occupies 1,2,4,7,8,12 Houses from the Ascendant, Moon or Venus i.e. if Mars is in 6 houses out of 12 houses then a Native is having Manglik Dosh. It implies that 50% of the population of the world must be Manglik. All positions are to be seen from Ascendant, Moon & Venus. This means we have to see the Dosh from three positions therefore there would hardly be a person Non Manglik on Earth. Even if a person has been declared a Manglik Astrologers are not clear, what is going to happen. Mostly the answer is that the combination is bad. But what bad is going to happen is not known. I have already said that good and bad or maleficance and beneficence are comparative statements. We should know what event is going to happen in various combinations. Actual problem lies that in delineating a Horoscope Astrologers consider one factor or the other, that too very broadly & results are given . Horoscope should be anlysed as a whole not just on the basis of one factor or the other. If Mars occupies any of the 1,2,4,7,8,12 House from the Ascendant then a Native is a Manglik. There are 12 houses in Astrology. This implies 50% people on Earth are Manglik. Same situation of Mars has to be seen from Moon and Venus also. This implies that 150% of people in the world are Manglik. The very definition of manglik is strange. CANCELLATIONS OF MANGLIK DOSH Now in addition to the Manglik Dosh there are also cancellations of the said Dosh which are as follows:

1. Mars may be in 1,2,4,7,8 or 12 houses from Ascendant, Moon or Venus. It is in Aries or Scorpio, own sign No Dosh. 2. Mars in Venus signs cannot do harm if it is the 4th or 7th House. 3. Mars in Mercury signs will have its evils results warded off if it is in 2nd house. 4. Mars has no Dosh in the Houses owned by Sun. Moon and Saturn. 5. Evil results of Mars cannot operate, if the sign occupied by Mars is ruled by Jupiter and happens to be the 8th. 6. If Mars is in movable signs, there is no Dosh. 7. Is Mars is in conjunction with or aspected by Jupiter, Mercury, Moon or Venus, the Dosh is not considered. 8. In Jatak Chandrika it is further stated that Mars in Cancer and Capricorn removes Manglik Dosh. Cancellations of Manglik Dosh do not appear to be logical. It is hard to believe the cancellations at one place the Manglik Dosh gets cancelled if the Mars is in enemy sign (Mercury) whereas at another place Manglik Dosh gets cancelled when Mars is in friends sign (Jupiter). Is it not surprising that Manglik Dosh applies only to Hindus! Views of the astrologers and astrological texts vary and this has led to confusion. Some astrologers do not believe the Manglik Dosh if Mars is in the 2nd house. On the other hand some astrologer negate Manglik Dosh to be seen from Venus. Therefore if a native visits astrologers, he gets different interpretations which would confuse him. This results in mentaltorture to common people over this issue. This Dosh is popular only with Hindus. If this Dosh is there then it must be applicable to people of all religion, cast and creed.
