1. At the top of the poster, students must include a one-sentence statement about how practicing the Three Rs helps the environment (it limits the amount of waste that gets dumped into the environment). They will be evaluated on their ability to write the statement clearly and in their own words and to show the connection between the Three Rs and waste. 2. In the three sections of the poster (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle), students must include one-sentence definitions of each of the Three Rs. They will be evaluated on their ability to write the definitions clearly, accurately, and in their own words. 3. In the three sections of the poster (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle), students must include one-sentence examples of specific ways that people can practice each of the Three Rs; they must also include a picture to illustrate each example. They will be evaluated on the accuracy of the examples, their ability to mention specific materials/items and specific methods of practicing the Three Rs in the examples, and their ability to effectively represent the examples with their pictures. 4. In the Recycle section of the poster, students must include a list of the four recyclable materials (glass, paper/cardboard, plastic, and metal). They will be evaluated on the accuracy and completeness of the list.
