FLSmidth expands Supercenter in Peru

FLSmidth Supercenters which are established with a vision to "Get Closer" to customers are now getting widely expanded across the globe. Peru is the third Supercenter officially dedicated to service our customers, following the ones already established in Santiago, Chile and Perth, Australia.
The formal inauguration of the expansion of the Peru Supercenter was held in Arequipa, Peru in late November 2012 and was hosted by Bjarne Moltke Hansen, Group Executive Vice President FLSmidth Customer Services, Brian Day, Sr. Vice President Customer Services and Romy Martin, Supercenter Director. Present at the inauguration was also the entire Group Management and Board of Directors of FLSmidth together with many of FLSmidth's customers. Among the speakers at the inauguration was furthermore Group Executive Vice President FLSmidth Mineral Processing, Peter Flanagan. "Our customers generally confirm the large potential we see on the Peruvian market. In combination with positive results from the existing Supercenters it has motivated us to start up centers in other areas. Customers are excited about the services offered by the Supercenters which we are happy to offer, as we develop our customer intimacy base," says Bjarne Moltke Hansen, Group Executive Vice President FLSmidth Customer Services. Preparations are on to launch three other centers in 2013 at Antofagasta, Chile, Delmas, South Africa, and Tucson, USA, with another intended to follow, in Mongolia, in 2014. FLSmidth now has 7 of these centers built or in the pipeline across the globe. In his speech the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vagn Ove Srensen expressed his great appreciation of all the work involved in the development of the Supercenters: "The establishment of Supercenters is an important part of our strategy and I am very proud to experience the development within this area. I would like to extend my thanks to everybody involved." Supercenters, an all-in-one center strategically located near mining and cement plants, enable efficient performance and extended life for the plant operation. The Supercenters act as a consultant and spare parts provider, addressing any issues faced by a customer without delay.

Through stronger working relationships with customers these centers have tailored services to address local demands in spares and servicing. Assembly of FLSmidth Ludowici screens also take place in the workshops at the Supercenters. The centers furthermore offer training programmes for customers to better understand the processes, systems and equipment they work on, enabling significant cost savings in their business.
