Audition Information For our 2010/2011 production of Disneys Aladdin Jr.

June 7, 2010 Greetings Future Drama Club Members: We are pleased to announce that we are going to be putting on Disneys Aladdin Jr. for our 2010/2011 theater season!!! This year, we have decided to give some early audition information so those students that are really serious about trying out for drama club will be able to have the extra practice time over the summer. Please read the following information very carefully and contact Mrs. DellaTorre at venus.dellatorre@browardschools.com if you have any questions. Break a leg!!!! Auditions will be done differently next year. Students who are interested in trying out for Lead Roles will sing a song from the musical and will be given a part of the script to memorize. Aladdin and Jasmine will be auditioned as a pair, which means you will be auditioning with another person. I will assign Aladdin a Jasmine partner and you will then have to find time to get together with that person outside of school to rehearse. All other Lead Roles and Chorus Members will audition on their own. It is very important that you indicate WHICH character you are auditioning for on your audition application. Some Quick Important Notes: We only have 40 spots available for Drama Club next year. We will be taking teacher recommendations as part of the selection process. Behavior is a major factor in getting selected to participate in Drama Club. You may or may not get the part that you audition for. Music for the audition will be taken from the movie version of Disneys Aladdin not the music that is on the website. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain the movie version instrumental music to prepare for their audition. Audition materials are ONLY available on the following website: www.broadwayjr.com/audition, click on Disneys Aladdin Jr, then the character you are auditioning for.
